Math Writing Sheets with Decorative Grid Boxes Printable graph paper with a subtle design twist – for math tasks, creative problem solving, or structured writing 📐✏️ PNG + PDF These decorative math sheets combine practical structure with visual appeal. Designed especially for math lessons, they feature a box-style ruling (also known as graph or squared paper) and gentle decorative elements that frame the workspace without distracting from the task. The colors of the rulings match the surrounding design, giving each page a calm and balanced look. Whether you’re preparing math exercises, practicing place value, or creating space for geometry sketches – these sheets provide a flexible foundation. The structured grid supports clear number alignment and helps students organize their work, especially those who benefit from visual guidance. What’s included: A variety of printable decorative worksheets with math box rulings Rulings in colors matched to the design Subtle seasonal or subject-neutral decorations PDF format – for printing or use in digital notebooks (e.g. GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format How I use them in class: I often reach for these sheets when I want to give a task a more finished or thoughtful appearance. Students use them for solving equations, drawing coordinate grids, or organizing data. They also work well for math journaling or scaffolded tasks, where a clear layout makes thinking visible. The design encourages careful work without being overwhelming – especially useful for students who struggle with messy layouts or find blank pages intimidating. Because the visuals are gentle and age-neutral, they’re suitable from upper elementary through secondary levels. They can also serve as project covers, learning logs, or a base for differentiated tasks. Sometimes, it’s these small details – like using a well-designed worksheet – that make students take their work a little more seriously. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? This fun math project includes clear step-by-step instructions to show your students how to make a circle graph. This is a great way to review several math skills while showing how useful they can be! Tasks include: - Writing a survey question: Your students learn to write a question that has exactly six possible answers. - Collecting data: Your students can ask the members of your class their question. They collect data using a tally chart. They need to ask exactly 25 people. - Recording results as a fraction: Once they have their data, they can turn each answer into a fraction with a denominator of 25. - Calculating an equivalent fraction: Then, they calculate an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 100. - Working with percent (written as a decimal): Finally, they turn that fraction into a percent in decimal form. They use this percent to multiply by 360 degrees in a circle (they can use a calculator for this part) to find out how many degrees each answer gets. - Drawing angles with a protractor: They carefully draw the six angles in their pie chart, one by one. - Labeling a graph: They label the graph to make it clear for others to read. Grades to Use WIth: This math project works well in the middle grades (4-8) when students know how to use protractors, calculate with fractions and decimals, and make graphs. It could also work well in a high school special education classroom. Silly Dragon Crafts - Coloring - Bookmarks - Geometric Designs
Creative Arts, Geometry, Math, Shapes, Early Math, Patterns, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, Crafts, Activities, Centers, Projects, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
These dragons are so silly and so much fun for kids to color. As is this entire dragon crafts activity pack. Kids absolutely love these dragons as well with their simple, thick outlines, they are a great way to give your students a break from their work and also be used as a reward for good behavior and an assignment done well. Since so many kids nowadays love dinosaurs and dragons, I thought it would be fun to create a dragon crafts activity pack. The simple drawings are perfect for preschoolers and prereaders. The bookmark designs, which are smaller and more complex, can be enjoyed by older students as well. There are five different dragons on 8.5 x 11 for a total of 10 posters - 5 of the dragons contain a colored example that children can follow to help with color recognition. These do not have a color border. The other 5 dinosaurs are black and white by themselves and contain a colored border. Once colored, the posters can be used to decorate bulletin boards, classrooms, and home refrigerators. They could even be framed and given as gifts! They can be printed and used again and again! In addition, there are 6 double-sided bookmarks with different geometric designs, patterns, and dragon pictures for coloring and printing. Geometry is math, so without realizing it, when your students color in the geometric designs, they are in essence practicing math skills. You can ask your students to identify the shapes and patterns on the bookmarks while they are coloring. You can also teach about shapes and patterns while they are keeping their hands busy coloring them. This can be super helpful in reducing distractibility. The geometric designs are great for developing familiarity with shapes and patterns. Plus, bookmarks make great gifts and encourage reading. The format is pdf downloadable and there are 15 pages, including the cover page. There is no need for an answer key as this dragon craft activity pack is pure fun with a little arts and crafts and math snuck in.

Perimeter Worksheets: Perimeter of Regular & Irregular Polygons Game
Math, Geometry, Measurements, Grade 4, 5, 6, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Activities, Games
Perimeter of Regular and Irregular Polygons: Math Game Here’s a fun math game that incorporates critical thinking and math strategy. It could be a great addition to your geometry or measurement unit in grades 4-6. Students will practice drawing regular and irregular polygons with given perimeters. They will need to use math skills including addition, division, or knowledge of factors to determine how to make a specific kind of shape with a provided perimeter. This game is ready-to-go! Simply show the two sample rounds to your students to teach them how to play. Then each student needs a six-sided die and the three-page game. Students can play on their own or in small groups where they can share ideas. There are three rounds to play! A question to help students notice the strategy of the game is included. Students should notice that it is easier to make a regular shape if the perimeter is divisible by the number of sides of the shape. For example, to make a regular pentagon with the digits 5 and 1, I would make the perimeter 15 units, so each side could be 3 units long. A bonus question for early finishers is also included. ANSWER: A decagon has 10 sides. So, a regular decagon could easily have a perimeter of 10, 20, 30, 40 units. That could be hard in this game because the die does not have a zero. Grades to Use With: This game is designed for students in grades 4-6 who are learning about perimeter of polygons, regular vs irregular polygons, factors, and division. It's also a great way to practice critical thinking and strategy. What's Included: 6 Page PDF Teacher Instructions 2 Sample Rounds to Teach the Game 3 Pages of Worksheets for your students to play the game three times and answer discussion prompts to encourage critical thinking and strategy.

Math, Percentages, Decimals, Money, Fractions, Geometry, Measurements, STEM, Research, Grade 5, 6, 7, 8, Activities
Personal STEM Research Project: Each student chooses a topic of interest and answers a challenging math question about it after step-by-step mini lessons teach them how. This research project can be used in many ways: - As a whole class STEM unit with 7 mini-lessons (a great idea for Friday afternoons) - As a year/term-long project for early finishers (no more copying extra math worksheets for every single lesson!) - As an enrichment activity for a small group (for those students who are ready for an extra challenge) The unit takes students through the step-by-step process using an example (how much water is needed to fill an ice rink for the NHL). The 7 steps are: o Topic: Help your students choose a topic and then narrow it down. This way your students will be invested in this project because it is about something that interests them! o Question: Brainstorm questions about that topic that need math to be solved. Help guided your students to a question that will have more than one step to solve. o Skills: Practice/learn skills needed to answer the question. Your students can use math websites like IXL, youtube videos, or their textbook to learn/review skills. o Research: Complete research to find necessary information. Students will need to find science and technology information to answer many of their questions. o Math: Put the skills and research together to find the answer! o Present: Think of a creative way to present the solution to the class. o Reflect: Take time to think back on the process. Grades: This project works well for intermediate/middle school aged students in grades 5-8. It could also be used in a high school special education classroom with extra support.

3 Quick Angle Activities to Practice Measurement and Classification: Acute, Right, Obtuse, Straight, Reflex
Math, Geometry, Measurements, Grade 4, 5, 6, 7, Activities
Do you need a few new ideas for your grade 4-6 math unit on angles (acute, right, obtuse, straight, and reflex)? This one page handout could be a super addition to your unit planning! There are three quick and easy activities provided to add new ideas to your instruction and help those students who learn in different ways. 1) Kinaesthetic Angle Game: Everyone stands up. The teacher calls out a type of angle (acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex). Students use their arms to make that angle. Students can make up their own "angle dance routines" and teach them to their peers. 2) Angle Scavenger Hunt: Students make a table in their notebook with the five types of angles: acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex. They look around the classroom, the school, or outside and record examples of each type of angle in the environment. 3) Angle Exit Slip: Want to ensure your students are grasping the concepts of your angle unit and learning how to use a protractor accurately? Copy and give this quick assessment . Students must measure and classify two angles and draw three given angles. It only takes five minutes, but it can give you very helpful information about which students in your class might need some small group instruction to master these concepts. Grades to Use With: These lesson ideas work for students in grades 4-7. For example, in British Columbia, Canada students learn about angles in grade six. In the US, they are part of the grade 4 curriculum.
