St. Patrick's Day Alphabet Pocket Chart Game

St. Patrick's Day Alphabet Pocket Chart Game
Phonics, Language Development, ELA, Pre-Reading, St. Patrick's Day, Holidays, Holiday & Seasonal, Kindergarten, Preschool, Centers, Activities, Games

Get students excited about learning the letters of the alphabet with this St. Patrick's Day pocket chart hide and seek game. What is Included: This resource includes two sets of alphabet cards in two different sizes to accommodate different sized pocket charts. There are three different leprechaun images for teachers to choose from to hide behind one of the letters. The alphabet cards are available in both capital and lowercase letters. How to Play: To play, teachers will place the letter cards into the pocket chart in any order they desire. Without the students looking, the teacher will hide one leprechaun picture behind one letter. Students will then either say the letter name or letter sound to guess the letter they think the leprechaun is hiding behind. If that leprechaun is not hiding behind that letter, the students will guess a different letter. If the leprechaun is behind the letter, students have found the leprechaun and to play more, it will need to be hidden again. There is an optional poem that can be chanted before each letter guess to make the game more interactive. This pocket chart game is a low prep option for teachers to use with students. Once created, the game can be used over and over in various classroom settings. When to Use: This game is perfect to use in a pocket chart during a morning routine or circle time to review letters students have already been exposed to. This game is a great addition to a literacy center, as it is easy for students to set up and play in groups of 2 or 3. This game makes a great activity to leave with a sub, as it is something that is easy to do, and students love playing the game. This game can also be used to as a reinforcement for struggling learners in a small group setting.

A super fun and engaging St. Patrick's Day Bingo Game . Make your class St. Patrick's Day party extra special this year! Students will love the engaging colors on the cards and discussing what the pictures are! When playing this St. Patrick's Day Bingo with young learners who have never played a Bingo game , it may be fun if you give them time to explore the cards/pictures first. Pulling a small group of students to play with you individually may provide great practice for beginners. Laminate this game so you can pull it out every year on St Patrick's Day! How to Use This: Print enough cards for your class (there are 40 different cards available so there are enough for even the largest class) and laminate them for reuse. Then cut and laminate the teacher cards. Give your students each a card and a handful of small items to place on their card during the game . Pull a teacher card from a basket or bowl and call it out. Students will have to listen carefully and look closely as you call out the picture you want them to look for. Students will determine if they see that described picture on their cards. If they do, they can mark it. Help children find the matching picture and have lots of fun! Four in a row wins! You can even utilize these Bingo cards as a separate extension activity in many ways. You can use the cards to highlight vocabulary, beginning sounds, listening skills, and much more all while celebrating this special day. These Bingo games can easily be incorporated into language arts or math lessons. What You Get: · 40 different St. Patrick's Day bingo cards · 5 pages of teacher cards to call out

Get ready to deck the halls… with crayons! Our Color By Number - Christmas Decoration Shape Coloring Activity is here to make your holiday season a bit more colorful (and way less stressful than untangling actual lights). This festive coloring page has everything you love about the holidays, minus the pine needles in your carpet and the mystery of where that one ornament hook went. Here’s the deal: each section of this decoration shape is numbered, guiding you to fill in the perfect holiday hues. Think of it as a “paint-by-numbers” experience, but without the paint spills or that one red splotch that never quite washes out. With every shade you add, your Christmas decoration will start to look like something Santa himself might hang on his tree! Perfect for all ages, this activity is ideal for getting everyone in the holiday spirit, from kids to those "big kids" (a.k.a. adults) who still love a good coloring session. When you’re done, you’ll have a vibrant, festive masterpiece worthy of a spot on the fridge, or right next to your actual decorations. Warning: side effects may include sudden humming of “Jingle Bells” and an uncontrollable urge to bake cookies. Enjoy!
