What is included: There are four different cards for students to build pumpkin themed objects. The cards include building three different pumpkin shapes to build as well as a slide of pumpkin pie. How to Use: Students will choose one of the sports themed cards. They will use the colored connecting cube blocks and create the same object that is on the card. When to Use: Fine Motor Center - The cards and blocks can be placed in a fine motor center for students to complete together or with a partner during center time. Morning Tubs - These cards and blocks can be put inside a morning basket for students to work on while waiting for classmates to arrive to class. Quiet Time Activity - This activity works well for students who do not nap. Once classmates are asleep, students can work quietly building the shapes on these cards. The cards in this set are a low prep activity. The cards need to be printed and cut apart and, if desired, laminated for durability. Once made, the teacher just needs to add the connecting blocks to the cards and the center is all set. The cards can be stored inside a task box for easy set up, clean up, and storage. Using a larger pencil box can allow the blocks and cards to be stored in the same container. Skills Assessed: This activity helps build up fine motor skills by putting together and taking apart the blocks. This activity determines if students can look at and copy an image using blocks.
