Science, Basic Science, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, Games, Activities

Our children absolutely love to play this highly engaging Farm Animals puzzle game! Cut each puzzle along the line in the middle and invite your children to match each farm animal with its offspring. These puzzles offer an extremely fun way to develop observational skills. Children may not know which animal matches with which young, however through looking closely at the characteristics of each animal, they will love to work out the similarities and differences between the different pictures and make educated guesses about which animals match together. Why not extend learning by discussing with your children the similarities and differences between older and younger animals and also between the different types of animals? Extend children’s vocabulary by describing animal body parts such as tail, hooves, paws, fur, snout, etc. Ask questions such as ‘Which animal has the longest/shortest tail?’ The 10 puzzles also each have a unique way of fitting together which enables self-checking. We hope you have as much fun with your children using these puzzles as we have!

"Do The Verb" Language Arts Song
ELA, Grammar, Grade 1, 2, 3, Songs, Activities

Many of our students love learning in a variety of ways and music is one of those! We can retain information better when we hear it through songs and visual videos. This is one reason we like to incorporate music in our learning environments. We don’t have to limit music to music class only for our students. In my store, you’ll find a wide array of music resources that students will love to learn from. This is a music video for your Language Arts students in 1st – 3rd grade. The title of this song is “Do The Verb.”This is a song and video that will have students learn about action words. This video provides explanations and many examples to support student learning. You can implement this video at the introduction of teaching this grammar skill. The objective is for students to understand that verbs are action words and for them to display actions. This would be a song that I play multiple times for my students across the course of this unit .
