Moon vs. Earth

Moon vs. Earth
Science, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Space, Grade 2, 3, 4, 5, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

During an astronomy unit or a time in science class where students are studying planets, you may want to find a variety of resources that will support their learning. This can be used with your elementary students in 2nd – 5th grade. The objective is for students to have a deeper understanding of the moon and the Earth and be able to identify the differences and similarities between the two. This is a short, sweet packet to use as you and your students explore the similarities and differences between the moon and Earth. I use the first page as a springboard for discussion about what the students notice about the two. There is an answer sheet for the second page and the third page gives one last visual that they’ve created to show the physical differences in a nutshell. I often pair this activity with the book If You Decide to Go to the Moon by Faith McNulty! I hope you enjoy!
