Short A: Riddle Time Sample Game Note: This download is in PowerPoint show mode to protect the rights of the image creator(s), and is thus UNEDITABLE. Playing the Game The question slide will begin with a clue and the amount of points available for guessing the correct word with this clue alone. Students can write/say their answers. Clicking the curved arrow on the right will make the next clue appear. This will have a lower points value but gives another clue for students to guess the word on. Again, press the curved arrow for the final clue. This is pretty much a a give away ie. you put this on your head, so students win at least five points on each round. Press the arrow for the answer. A pic will also appear but immediately become semi-transparent so you can still see the clues underneath if you wish to go through them. Press the square in the bottom right corner to go to the next page. Will be harder for early learners due to the amount of reading so you may have to read it out and help with some meanings. This is a Data Management Unit Task resource that is ready to use! The task for students: Your task will be to come up with 2 of your own survey questions (that are related) and conduct these surveys. Your question must be meaningful – meaning there is a purpose for you asking this question. It cannot be simply out of your own curiosity, but rather should be tied to an event or change you want to make. One of your questions should collect categorical data, and the other should collect numerical data. Remember to avoid bias when you are creating your survey question. Next, you will collect this data in a way that you think is appropriate and create a graph on Google Sheets to represent this data. It is up to you which type of graph you choose to use to represent your data but remember that it must be appropriate and fitting. Remember to make sure you don’t present your data in a misleading way. Finally, you will calculate the mean, median and mode for your numerical data (show your work) and tell me what those result mean in relation to your data. You will also tell me which measure of central tendency best describes your set of data.
