Scientist Konrad Lorenz - Fact Sheet, Quiz & Interactive Version (PDF & H5P) Konrad Lorenz – Animal Behavior and the Roots of Ethology Fact Sheet, Quiz & Interactive Exercises (PDF + H5P) 🦢🧠 This 45-minute resource introduces students in grades 7–10 to Konrad Lorenz – a key figure in the development of modern ethology, the study of animal behavior. Many students enjoy learning about animals, but the scientific side of behavior research ist oft weniger bekannt. Lorenz is especially known for his work on imprinting in geese – observing how young animals form strong attachments during a critical period after birth. His careful observations helped shape the way we think about instinct, learning, and behavior in both animals and humans. To make this topic approachable, I’ve put together a compact, ready-to-use lesson. It includes a short informational text, a fact sheet, quiz questions with answers, and a creative partner task. The materials are available in both color and black-and-white versions, plus there’s an H5P version for digital use. What’s included: A short, student-friendly text about Konrad Lorenz and his contributions to behavioral science A fact sheet to help students organize key ideas Quiz questions (with answer key) for review or self-check A partner task where students come up with their own questions and exchange them Formats: Printable/digital PDF and interactive H5P 💻 Answer key included ✅ I’ve used this material when introducing the basics of behavior in biology – especially to discuss how scientific observation works in practice. It also fits nicely into lessons on instinct vs. learning or historical perspectives on animal research. The flexible format works well for independent study, pair work, or short projects. 🚀 Download now and bring the legacy of Konrad Lorenz into your biology lessons today! 📍 Best wishes, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? The Past Perfect Tense

The Past Perfect Tense
ELA, Grammar, Not Grade Specific, Worksheets & Printables

This ebook provides essential information about the Past Perfect Tense, its formation and usage. We use the past perfect to talk about the past, but not just any situation in the past; we use the Past Perfect when we're talking about two events that happened in the past and when one event happened before the other event. So it helps you to order the actions in your story. Think about the Past Perfect as helping us to create a timeline. If your students have mastered the Present Perfect tense as they should, it will be easy for them to form the Past Perfect as well. We create the Past Perfect by using the verb 'had' the auxiliary verb 'had', followed by our main verb in past participle form. Students usually confuse the Past Perfect and use the Simple Past instead. Hopefully, this ebook will help them clarify these two distinctive tenses.

The earlier you start with your renewal, the better your chances of producing better materials to demonstrate your growth as an educator This is an eBook titled 10 Tips to RENEW Your National Board Certification. In a nutshell, candidates are asked to develop a Profile of Professional Growth (PPG-three components and one reflection) and are given about nine months to complete it. Component 1: Describe four areas of professional growth experiences (PGEs) that reflect your commitment and contributions that ultimately have a positive impact on student learning. Examples: it can be a new skill acquired or knowledge deepened, projects , certificates, trainings you attended, etc. You must include the acquisition of technology skills. All items must be ongoing, varied, and multifaceted. Component 2: Choose one of your PGEs featured in Component 1 and demonstrate how it applies to the same content and developmental level as your original certification. The video required will probably remind you of your original certification. However, this video is shorter (10 minutes), and can be segmented into three parts. Component 3: Select another PGE from Component 1 (not the one used in Component 2) and demonstrate either a direct or indirect impact on student learning. This can be a 6-minute video of you interacting with colleagues, parents, or community members, OR a maximum of 8 pages of student work samples. Reflection: Analyze the connections among the first three components, focusing on standards that challenge you as well as plans for continued professional growth to positively impact student learning.
