Each number is accompanied by a little bug with the corresponding number of dots. At the bottom of each of these pages is a blank addition template. Students will cut out the numbers 1-20 on page 5. The addition boards and the numbers should be laminated for repeated use. The cut-out numbers 1-10 can be placed in one baggie. The cut-out numbers 11-20 can be placed in another baggie. Students will pull two numbers from the 1-10 baggie and set it on the addition board. In order to find the answer, students can count the dots on the bugs to find the answer. They will pull the correct answer out of the other baggie. This makes a fun math center or small group activity. Pages 3 and 4 will give students handwriting practice for numbers 1-10. On one page, they will trace the number. On the next page, they will trace the name of the number. This will reinforce the spelling of numbers, so students can quickly identify number names. These two worksheets could also be laminated and used with a dry erase marker.

Practicing Wonders Words to Know is often a bit of a boring task for most students. That's why we made it a bit more fun. First of all, you can guide students through the book along with the vocabulary list. Here it shows the part of speech, the word, the definition and an example sentence. This way, students don't even need their books anymore to practice all of the words at home. Another fun element is the word search. This word search is based on the definitions, so the student is not given the correct answer right away. This way, they really have to dig into their memories to come up with the correct answer. After all of the practicing is done, it is time to do the test. You can present this by first giving the definition and then to let the student fill out the correct answer. The second part is a fill in the blanks exercise.
