Introduce or review many different contractions with this contractions worksheet. Contractions are created when two words are made into one word. The missing letters are replaced with an apostrophe. Since most contractions follow the same pattern of letter elimination, these worksheets help students to get a lot of practice writing and breaking apart contractions. What is Included: There is 1 worksheet template for students to record the words they find. How to Use: Students will look through printed material and cut out examples of different contractions. They will glue the contractions to their paper, then write the two words that make up each contraction. The hands on nature of this activity will keep students engaged in learning and practicing writing contractions. I created this activities pack because so many kids like dinosaurs, and learning the alphabet is such a foundational skill, sometimes one that isn't learned easily by kids. Teach your pre=readers and reinforce struggling readers learning the alphabet with bright colors and fun dinosaur pictures. Each letter of the alphabet is on a separate page to color as shown in the preview. There are 26 different Bible verses that students can trace and learn and even memorize. And 26 different flashcards with each letter of the alphabet on a separate card, the alphabet in the flashcards is a dinosaur font and can be colored in. Most of the products I create are designed for multiple ages in mind. For example, this product contains simple super large letters of the alphabet that can be colored in even by a toddler who can hold a crayon. Also, this product also contains 16 different dinosaur outlines that can be traced and/or colored. Each is on a separate page and includes the name of the particular dinosaur. Dinosaurs have long names, so these pages can be used to familiarize children with different dinosaurs and even be used for a spelling test where your students have to be able to correctly spell the dinosaurs. Or they could be asked to alphabetize the dinosaur sheets in order. Also included in this awesome dinosaur and alphabet activity pack is 16 different dinosaur outlines to color (one on each page) with the name of the dinosaur spelled out in a font that can be colored in. Dinosaurs included: Acanthopholis Ankylosaurus Dilophosaurus Diplodocus Gallimimus Iguanodon Ouranosaurus Parasaurolophus Pteranodon Saurolophus Stegosaurus Styracosaurus Triceratops Tyrannosaurus Rex Valdosaurus Velociraptor As you can see, the dinosaur names are challenging even for the best spellers, including me! Even though there are no specific questions regarding these dinosaurs in this product, you could assign specific dinosaurs to your older students, to look up and research and write an essay.

This is a pack of 32 flashcards for words with a consonant blend and a short vowel sound with no more than four sounds. The pack contains words with both an initial and a final blend. Introduction: I made these cards to send home with my pupils for extra practice sounding out these consonant blends words with their parents. They provide a cheap-to-print, effective way to get maximum practice at this vital, foundational reading skill. Order, outline and steps: Simply print and cut up the cards into 32 word cards, a 32 picture cards. Start by having the child sound out the words: lay picture cards face up on the table and stack the word cards in a pile, face up. Take a word card, sound it out to read it. Find the matching picture card and lay them both aside together. Once the pupil gains confidence, games can be made: Turn the above activity into a game by placing ten word cards in a pile face down between the players, and laying the matching pictures face down on the table. The players then take it in turns to select a word card and turn over a picture card. If they match, the player can keep the matching cards. If not, the word card is returned to the bottom of the pile and the picture placed face down on the table once more. The word cards chosen can be selected to give the child practice where needed, either with initial, or final blends or a mixture of both. Who are the flashcards for?
