This reading comprehension activity uses decodable sentences, with words that follow the CVC spelling rule, as well as bold, easy to recognize pictures to match or sort. This AP Word Family packet includes: This resource includes as set of sentence cards that focus on AP words and early sight words. Each sentence has a colorful picture to match the sentence. How to Use this Resource: In this literacy activity, students will read each sentence on each card, and then they will match the sentence to the correct image. This activity will make a great literacy station for kindergartners and first graders who are learning CVC words and reading comprehension. This literacy activity allows students to receive tons of practice reading AP words in the context of sentences. These simple sentence and picture matching activity will allow students to have a tactile way to practice reading comprehension that focuses on words in the AP word family. Many of our students love learning in a variety of ways and music is one of those! We can retain information better when we hear it through songs and visual videos. This is one reason we like to incorporate music in our learning environments. We don’t have to limit music to music class only for our students. In my store, you’ll find a wide array of music resources that students will love to learn from. This is a music video for your math students in 3rd grade. The title of this song is “Doggies Divide.” This is a song and video that will have students learn about solving division problems. This video provides explanations and many examples to support student learning. You can implement this video at the introduction of teaching this math skill. The objective is to provide students with a visual and concrete example for solving a variety of division problems and being able to correctly use division strategies. This would be a song that I play multiple times for my students across the course of this unit . It is an MP4 file, so you can download it and have the option of embedding it into any slideshow you may be using for instruction. I hope you enjoy!

Independent work - answers print on back! Students identify the rime, attach the clip or clothespin to their selection, and flip the card to verify the answer. Bonus - clipping and flipping is great for fine motor development! Plus fast and easy clean up. And if a card is damaged or lost? No problem - just print another. Use these Clip the RIME cards in your literacy center or small groups. Give it a try for an early finisher or morning work activity. Will also work as a take home or tutor activity. Place them in bag or task boxes. Great for differentiated work. Whatever your needs. This resource contains 87 clip it and flip it cards. There are 4 cards per page with straight-line cutting for easier prep. Answer choices are along the bottom of the cards, to make it easier for students regardless of left or right handedness. I print my Clip it and Flip it cards on quality heavy card stock, laminate for durability, and cut. I like to store the cards with 2 or 3 clothespins in a task box. I use them in my centers, and I switch them out monthly or so. My students LOVE the Clip it and Flip it cards!
