But Coelacanth was discovered living in the early 20th century. So, if macroevolution is true, should the coelacanth still be used as evidence of evolution or old age. If so, why are there no apparent changes in this specific animal? Students can practice reading comprehension skills with these ID word family mats. Students can practice reading ID words in isolation and in the context of sentences. The words in this set follow a CVC or CCVC spelling pattern. Included in this resource: This resource includes one word mat and one sentence mat, both for reading ID words in insolation and in context. There are also picture cards that correspond with each word and sentence. To complete this activity, students will read each ID word or sentence on the mat and then match the corresponding pictures. Students can work independently or with a partner to complete this activity. How to Use these Id word Family Mats: The students can simply lay the images on top of the word or sentence.
