A black and white version is included so that students can create their own 10 little dinosaurs to sing about. This is also a great activity for teaching students to recognize shapes. To Prep: Print, cut, and laminate dinosaurs and instructions. I print all the dinosaurs so that I can change out the shapes or different numbers of dinosaurs. To Play: Set owls out in the middle of the carpet or place them on a whiteboard with magnets attached. (tune of 8 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed) 10 little dinos jumping on the bed, SHAPE fell off and bumped his head. Mama called the doctor (point to a student) and the doctor said, “No more dinos jumping on the bed!” (The student you pointed to will take away the shape that bumped his head). Continue until all dinosaurs are gone. I ask students to hold up the number of fingers that matches how many dinosaurs we have. I hope you enjoy!!
