Sunflowers – Coloring Sheet | Helianthus annuus A simple activity to accompany science or seasonal lessons 🌻🖍️ This printable coloring sheet focuses on the sunflower ( Helianthus annuus ) and can be used to support lessons on plants, summer flowers, or as a quiet creative task in between more content-heavy subjects. It’s easy to integrate into primary classroom routines and works well as a one-lesson activity – no prep needed. The download includes two versions: one with a cheerful color frame and one in classic black and white, perfect for photocopying. Students can color the sunflower while reviewing what they’ve learned or as part of an introduction to summer plants and flower species. What’s included: One sunflower coloring page with decorative frame (PDF) Color version for digital or presentation use Black and white version for classroom copying I’ve used this sheet alongside our lesson on plant parts or after reading a short informational text about sunflowers. Some students like to label the parts of the flower directly on the page or write a short description on the back. It also works well in stations, during free work time, or in a substitute lesson when you need something calm and creative. If you’re working on a seasonal theme, this sheet pairs nicely with other sunflower materials – like nonfiction texts, vocabulary work, or mini research tasks. It helps younger students connect scientific observation with creativity and gives them a chance to slow down and focus. This resource is ready to print and use in class or at home. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Whether your students are writing stories, solving math problems, or composing short pieces of music, these sheets give them a gentle, creative frame to work within. What’s sweeter than cookies? Baking them with Mom, sprinkles in your hair, flour on your nose, and maybe one or two “accidentally” eaten before the tray hits the oven. This “Write a Story: Baking Cookies Together” Mother’s Day Activity lets students cook up a delightful tale about spending time with Mom (or another special grown-up) in the kitchen. From measuring mishaps to cookie dough “taste tests” (for quality control, of course), students will write their own story of a baking adventure. Whether it ends with a tray of perfect treats or a sugar-covered disaster, the laughs and love are guaranteed. Decorative Writing Sheets for Secondary Students Versatile ruled pages for writing, organizing, and personalizing classroom work – in a calm and appealing design 📝🌿 PNG + PDF These decorative worksheets were created with older students in mind. They combine a clean, thoughtful layout with subtle design elements that make them suitable for many classroom contexts – from creative writing to structured math problems. Each page features light, subject-neutral decorations and matching rulings. The rulings are clearly visible but not too dominant, and their colors are coordinated with the overall design. This small detail gives the pages a more polished, motivating look – without distracting from the actual task. What’s included: A selection of printable decorative writing sheets with lines All designs with age-appropriate, calm visuals Rulings in matched color tones for a cohesive appearance PDF format – great for print or digital notebooks (e.g. GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format Ideas for classroom use: I’ve used these kinds of pages in various ways – for summaries, vocabulary practice, reflections, and even small-scale presentations. Some students appreciate having a “special” page to write on for final drafts or project titles. They’re also useful for open tasks: students might choose how to use the space, which supports creative thinking and independence. Because the sheets are not content-bound, they work well across subjects. Whether you’re teaching language arts, science, or social studies, you can adapt them to your lesson. I’ve even let students use them for personal notes or as covers for their portfolios. They also serve well during quieter phases, in tutoring settings, or as part of personalized learning folders. And for digital classrooms, students can fill them out using a stylus or keyboard. A simple, flexible resource – and a small visual upgrade that shows students their work matters. Ice Cream Number Cards
Math, Early Math, Numbers, Summer, Seasons, Holiday & Seasonal, Kindergarten, Preschool, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Flashcards

These ice cream themed number cards are perfect for students who are learning with a summer theme. They make the perfect tool for students to learn numbers up to 20. What is Included: This set includes one number card and one number word card for all numbers up to 20. Ideas for Using the Number Cards: Invite students to play a matching activity by pairing each number with its corresponding number word. Turn the cards into a hands on fishing game by attaching paper clips and using a magnetic fishing rod for students to “catch” the numbers. Place the cards in a sand or salt tray so students can trace or write the numbers and number words for tactile practice. Hide the cards around the classroom and have students go on a number scavenger hunt to find and identify each one. Challenge students to arrange the cards in correct numerical order, working independently or as a group. Use a pocket chart to create a guessing game by placing the cards in the chart and hiding a picture behind one number. Students take turns guessing which number is hiding the picture. Add small manipulatives (such as counters, cubes, or pom-poms) and have students count objects to match the number shown on each card. When to Use: Math Centers – Add the number cards to a math center for students to practice matching independently or with a partner. Morning Tubs or Baskets – Place the number cards in a morning bin for students to work on as classmates arrive. Small Group Instruction – Use the number cards during small group time to provide extra support for students who need additional practice recognizing numbers and number words. Make number recognition fun with these ice cream number cards! This low-prep activity is easy for teachers to prepare. Teachers just simply print, cut, and laminate for durability. The number cards fit perfectly in a task box for effortless setup, cleanup, and storage. Skills Assessed: These cards, depending on the materials added, can assess both number recognition and number word recognition.

Roll up your sleeves (and maybe pass the gravy) with the Helping Hands Writing Prompt! This Thanksgiving activity encourages kids to think about how they can lend a hand, without accidentally dropping the turkey. Writing and drawing come together in this heartwarming and hilarious project that showcases the many ways we can help others during the holiday season. First, kids will reflect on all the ways they’ve been helpful, or could be helpful, this Thanksgiving. Will they set the table without sneak-eating the rolls? Offer to do the dishes instead of disappearing into a pumpkin pie coma? Or maybe their “helping hands” involve cheering up a cranky relative with a joke about turkeys crossing the road. Whatever their helping superpower, it’s time to put it into words. Next, the artistic fun begins! Kids will draw their very own “helping hands,” complete with doodles of their Thanksgiving good deeds. Add in some colorful crayons, markers, or glitter (if you dare), and these hands will be ready to hang on the fridge, the classroom wall, or right next to the dessert table for everyone to admire. Perfect for inspiring gratitude, creativity, and just a touch of turkey humor, this activity is all about making Thanksgiving more special, one helping hand at a time! Enjoy!
