Number Formation posters
Math, Early Math, Numbers, Kindergarten, Preschool, Posters, Classroom Decor

Writing numerals accurately is vital for math readiness, but confusing number shapes trip up many emergent learners. These delightful number formation poem posters creatively cement proper stroke techniques through playful visual mnemonics and rhyming verse. The fusion of poetry and number formation is crafted to make the learning process engaging and enjoyable. Each poster features a visually appealing and context-rich poem alongside the corresponding number, creating a multisensory experience that caters to diverse learning styles. Beyond the aesthetic appeal, these posters serve a practical purpose. The carefully crafted poems act as mnemonic devices, providing a memorable rhythm that assists children in recalling the specific steps to form each number. This method not only reinforces motor skills but also contributes to the development of early literacy skills through the integration of rhythmic language. The incorporation of poems fosters a playful and interactive learning environment, where children can actively participate in reciting and internalizing the number formation process. As they engage with the posters, educators and parents can seize the opportunity to encourage verbalization, reinforcing both numerical and language development. Making proper numeral formation second nature from the start prevents later reversal confusion that hinders calculation fluency. These lively posters turn essential writing technique into delightful daily warm-ups worth repeating! Young mathematicians will delight in this hidden poetry enriching essential foundations for math success! AY: Phonics Workbook Reading Made Simple
Phonics, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Kindergarten, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Reading Made Simple — Free AY Phonics Workbook These little workbooks have been a quiet favourite with families using Reading Made Simple for some time now. Each one focuses on a single sound and prints on just one sheet of A4 paper — double-sided, folded in half to make a neat A5 booklet that children can hold and work through at their own pace. They are entirely optional. The phonics programme works perfectly well without them, but many parents and teachers find them a useful companion — either as structured practice or simply as a source of ideas to dip into when needed. Tested by real children: One 5-year-old user is quoted as having said, 'The worksheet is the best bit of my lessons!' Other parents have noted that their child likes the worksheet because 'they think it is easy'. When learning is broken down into small, achievable steps, with no curve balls to throw them off track, every child can say, 'I can read!' When I hear these reviews, I know that I have succeeded in my aim to write a phonics curriculum that can help children of all abilities learn to read and spell. These little workbooks are just one small part of what there is to offer. Please do check out the website for more information. Each workbook offers a gentle mix of activities built around the target sound. Children will read short passages that practise the new sound alongside words from sounds already taught, track and identify the sound within words to support both reading and spelling, practise spelling and sentence writing, and work through simple editing exercises where they spot and correct mistakes. These small editing tasks are particularly worthwhile — they encourage children to look carefully at words rather than guessing from context. The workbooks are particularly well-suited to younger children just beginning their phonics journey, and to older children with special educational needs who are still building their foundational reading and spelling skills. That said, they will not suit every child. Some will find them too long, others too straightforward. Use your own judgement — pick the activities that fit, leave the rest, or set them aside entirely. There is no obligation and no right or wrong way to use them. To print: print double-sided, flipping on the short edge. Fold in half to create your A5 booklet. The answer page at the back is optional. One sheet of paper. One sound. Everything a child needs to practise, consolidate and grow in confidence.

ELA, Literature, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Activities

Finger Puppets - "Peter Pan - Fairy Tale With this material, you get craft templates for finger puppets for the story "Peter Pan". Perfect for language lessons at primary school. The students deal creatively with the story by coming up with suitable dialogues and acting out the story. The special thing about the finger puppets is that the characters show different emotions by turning the finger puppets or change according to the narrative. The finger puppets are suitable for language lessons in grades 1, grades 2, grades 3, grades 4, grades 5 and grades 6. The finger puppet templates are available in two versions: one in color and one in black and white. You can decide for yourself whether you want to use the time-saving or printer-friendly version. The students can design the black and white templates themselves, for example. With the colored templates, you can quickly create a finger puppet set that you can give to the students to play with. To store it in the binder, the students can make a bag. For the finger puppet show, I have also added suitable backdrops. The students can also design and use their backdrops for their finger puppet show. Teaching Ideas: The finger puppets can be used in various ways in the classroom: Students use the finger puppets during a book presentation to bring the characters to life and practice retelling. Students act out dialogues between the main characters of the fairy tale. The students use the finger puppets in assigned roles while reading. They take turns playing with the different characters. The students continue to tell the story with the finger puppets or come up with dialogues for gaps within the story. The students design the finger puppets in color or cut, fold and make the colored templates into finger puppets. Best regards, Doreen Blumhagen - Die Relitante
