RHYTHM BASKETBALL is in with the all-time hit from Smash Mouth,"All Star"! There are four all-color coded slides along with the form identifiers listed next to each phrase. Discuss form with the students and teach them (by rote) the rhythms on the powerpoint with the corresponding repeats (most are repeated 3 or 4 times). For this, your students will each have a basketball (can be regulation size or smaller) and bounce their ball on the ground each time they see a basketball icon. Each basketball icon is denoted as a quarter note. The rests are in between each ball for the students to hold the ball. This letter Q emergent reader is a great book for practicing beginning sounds. This book is a low prep activity for students to make and take home to practice the initial sound of the letter Q. These beginning readers are perfect for any preschool or kindergarten classroom where students are learning about the letter Q and its most common initial sound. This emergent reader includes a cover page and seven different "Q is for..." pages that all focus on the most common sound of the letter Q in the initial position of the word. What is Included: Letter Q emergent reader cover page. Q is for question. Q is for quill. Q is for quilt. Q is for quack. Q is for quail. Q is for quarter. Q is for queen. Students can be guided to color each picture first and then cut the pages apart. There are two emergent reader pages for each printed page. The pages will then be stapled together in a book for students to read over and over to practice the letter Q sound. All pictures in this book focus on the initial /qu/ sound. The pages can be stapled together in any order as long as the cover page is on top.
