What’s included: Chemistry-themed pennant banner (PDF) Two versions: ready-to-print boho colors + black-and-white for designing your own Simple instructions for assembling and decorating Suitable for both classroom display and student-led design projects Ideas for classroom use: The black-and-white version offers a nice opportunity to involve your students in decorating. They can color the pennants, add scientific images (e.g. equipment, famous chemists, molecules), or create small collages using cutouts from catalogs or online resources. This can be a relaxing start-of-term activity, a station in project-based learning, or a way to involve students in shaping their learning environment. You can hang the banner with ribbon or string, using a hole punch. Alternatively, connect the pennants with fasteners or glue them onto cardboard for a sturdier feel. It's a low-prep activity that brings a visual focus to the subject and helps create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere in your science room—without needing any extra materials beyond a printer and scissors. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Each background is designed in A4 format and comes in three file types (PNG, JPG, TIFF), so you can use them easily in PowerPoint, Canva, Word, or on your digital whiteboard. I made the blobs myself using Procreate, and they’ve quickly become a go-to design element for my materials – from flashcards to worksheet covers to game boards. What’s included: 13 backgrounds in PNG format (transparent backgrounds – great for layering) 13 backgrounds in JPG format (standard image use) 13 backgrounds in TIFF format (high-resolution for print) → All in A4 size, zipped and organized Ideas for use: Backgrounds for your teaching materials and presentations Front or back cover for worksheets or student notebooks Decorative elements in learning stations or classroom posters Cards, labels, or folder dividers Digital note templates (e.g. in GoodNotes or Notability) Game boards or memory card backs Invitations or announcements I also use them for decorating name tags and bulletin boards – they bring color without being too busy or distracting. Good to know: You're welcome to use these backgrounds in your own classroom or even in your commercial teaching resources. Just make sure your own content is the focus of your final product. Chemistry Blackboard Cards – Chemical Elements 1–118

Chemistry Blackboard Cards – Chemical Elements 1–118 Visual support for teaching the periodic table in grades 7–11 🧪🧲 This printable set contains blackboard-sized cards for all 118 chemical elements, designed to make the periodic table more accessible and interactive in your classroom. Each card includes the element’s name, atomic number, and chemical symbol in a clean, easy-to-read format – perfect for whiteboard work, displays, and hands-on sorting tasks. The cards are arranged two per A4 page and can be printed, laminated, and reused across many lessons. I’ve used them to build a large-scale classroom periodic table, support sorting games by group or period, and even for spontaneous quizzes at the board. What’s included: 118 blackboard cards (PDF format) Each card shows: element name, chemical symbol, atomic number 2 cards per A4 page for easy printing Black-and-white, ideal for printing and possible color-coding How it’s used in class: These cards are great for front-of-class instruction but also work well in group activities or as a station-based task. Students can work in teams to arrange the elements in correct order, match symbols to names, or explore relationships between groups and periods. Because the design is simple and consistent, students can focus on the content rather than being distracted by layout. The cards support visual learning and active participation. They’re especially useful for mixed-ability classes: more confident students might work from memory, while others use a printed periodic table for support. You can also let students take on teaching roles by explaining selected elements to peers at the board. This is a practical tool for visualizing chemistry concepts – no extra prep required beyond printing and cutting. Laminate for longer use. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? GHS Pictogram Clipart – Glitter Design for Chemistry Classrooms & Craf
Common Core, Science, STEM, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Technology, Basic Science, Resources for Teachers, Homeschool Templates, Homeschool Curriculum, Grade 10, 11, 12, Classroom Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters, Teacher Tools, Word Walls, Door Decor, Experiments, Activities, Labs, Worksheets & Printables
GHS Pictogram Cliparts Glitter Design for Chemistry Classrooms, Crafts and Materials PNG If you’ve ever found the standard GHS (Globally Harmonized System) pictograms a bit too plain or uninspiring for your teaching materials, you’re not alone. That’s exactly why I decided to redesign them with a fresh twist. These 18 cliparts—9 in portrait and 9 in landscape format—combine the clarity of the official hazard symbols with a visually striking glitter effect. The colors remain true to the original system (red border, black symbol), but the glitter gives them a unique and eye-catching feel. I created each of these cliparts by hand in Procreate, with the classroom in mind. They’re still clearly recognizable as hazard pictograms, but they add a touch of design that fits beautifully into worksheets, posters, or digital resources. Ways you might use these in your classroom or materials: – Labeling chemical containers in a more engaging way – Gluing into student chemistry notebooks to support safety topics – Decorating posters or bulletin boards about lab safety rules – Enhancing worksheets or lab instructions visually – Adding to PowerPoint, Keynote, or Genially presentations – Integrating into digital learning platforms or safety training resources – Using them in flashcards for visual reinforcement Since you’ll receive both portrait and landscape versions (in PNG format with transparent backgrounds), you can easily adjust them to your layout or format. Whether you're printing or working digitally, the designs remain sharp and flexible. These glitter-style symbols were made to support safety awareness while also respecting visual design preferences—especially for teachers or students who appreciate a bit more flair in their materials. Usage rights: You may use the cliparts both privately and commercially within educational content, as long as your own contribution is clearly visible. Please do not resell the graphics individually. Wishing you lots of creativity while designing your materials, – Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Therapy Dog - Helping Students Reflect with Therapy Dogs 🐶💭
Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Special Resources, Social Skills, Special Education Needs (SEN), Life Skills, Animals, Life Sciences, Science, Classroom Management, Resources for Teachers, High School, Middle School, Elementary, Early Learning, Pre-K, Homeschool Resources, Classroom Decor, Bulletin Boards, Projects, Activities, Drawing Templates & Outlines, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Posters, Door Decor, Task Cards
Helping Students Reflect with Therapy Dogs 🐶💭 There’s something special about the presence of a therapy dog in the classroom. Even the most restless students seem to relax. Some kids who rarely speak up suddenly open up. And for many, it’s the first time they’ve had a chance to experience the unconditional support that a dog offers. But what if we took that experience and turned it into a learning moment? That’s exactly what this reflection activity does. It helps students think about what kindness means, why responsibility matters, and how their actions affect others—whether those others have two legs or four. Why This Activity Feels Different ✔ It gets students thinking, not just answering. It’s not about memorizing facts. It’s about pausing for a moment and reflecting on simple but meaningful questions. ✔ It connects emotions with actions. Why do therapy dogs have rules? Why does kindness matter? These questions lead to unexpectedly deep discussions. ✔ It’s easy for any grade level. Younger kids can draw their answers, while older students might write or discuss. No one feels left out. ✔ It works with or without a therapy dog. Even if your school doesn’t have one, this still sparks conversations about empathy and responsibility. ✔ No prep required. Just print it out, hand it to students, and let them think. How I Use It in My Classroom 📌 First, we talk. I ask, “How do animals teach us about kindness?” or “What do therapy dogs need from us?” The answers are never what I expect—and that’s the best part. 📌 Then, students reflect. They complete a few simple but thoughtful prompts about their own behavior, their emotions, and what they’ve learned. 📌 Next, we share (if they want to). I never make sharing mandatory. But I’m always surprised by how many students want to. 📌 Finally, we put up the poster. It’s a small reminder that kindness and responsibility go beyond the classroom. 🐶 One more idea: If you have a therapy dog visit your class, have students read their reflections to the dog. You’d be amazed at how much more open and engaged they become! What Other Teachers Have Said ✔ “I used this before our first therapy dog visit, and it made a huge difference in how students behaved around the dog.” ✔ “It’s simple but powerful. The class discussions that came from this were amazing.” ✔ “Perfect for social-emotional learning, even without a therapy dog!” Why This Activity Sticks with Students At the end of the day, this isn’t just another worksheet. It’s a way to help students slow down, think about their actions, and reflect on what really matters—whether that’s how they interact with a therapy dog, a classmate, or the world around them. 📥 Give it a try—you might be surprised by what your students come up with. 🐶✨ 📍 Warmly, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Intro to Calculus Word Wall
Math, Calculus, Grade 10, 11, 12, Word Walls, Classroom Decor
This is an Intro to Calculus Word Wall that includes limits and derivatives. Your pre-calculus/calculus students will find this word wall beneficial as it provides them with many skills that will be covered in your course. As a teacher, you will find it helpful to quickly reference topics on the wall that were covered last week (or last semester). Each sheet features a title, a subtopic, and a sheet number. This will help you keep cards organized. The box for the sheet number is left blank on each sheet to give you the flexibility to rearrange sheets and number them however you like. Some sheets will need to be combined because they are too big to fit on one sheet. An “incomplete” border on the sheet indicates topic extends to multiple pages. For a long lasting resource, after printing, I suggest laminating each one of the pages. If wall space allows, post sheets as you cover them in class and leave them up throughout the year. If space is limited, print sheets half-size or replace sheets after completing a unit of study. In addition to using them as posters, this resource may be used in math centers , or as guidance for individual work, or for group work. The topics included are: 1. Limits & Derivatives – Limit Notation – One-Sided Limits: Left-Hand & Right-Hand Limits – Average Rate of Change: Formula & Graph – Instantaneous Rate of Change: Formula & Graph – Derivative: Formula & Graph – Properties of Limits: • Sum Rule • Difference Rule • Product Rule • Quotient Rule • Constant Multiple Rule • Power Rule • Root Rule – Finding Limits: Graphs & Tables – Velocity: Average & Instantaneous – Limits at Infinity: Graph & Table – Infinite Limits: Graph & Table

Chemical Elements – Matching Pairs Game & Flashcards (1–118)
STEM, Science, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Montessori, Basic Science, Grade 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Teacher Tools, Flashcards, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters
Chemical Elements – Matching Pairs Game & Flashcards (1–118) 118 cards for learning the periodic table A visual and interactive way to explore the periodic table 🧪🧠 This printable card set includes all 118 chemical elements and can be used either as a classic memory game or as flashcards for independent practice. Each card features the element’s symbol, atomic number, and name – providing a clear and accessible entry point into the world of chemistry. The cards are designed to be used flexibly. You can print them twice to play Matching Pairs (also known as Memory®), where students turn over cards and try to find identical pairs. This helps improve concentration and recall while reinforcing students’ familiarity with element symbols and atomic numbers. What’s included: 118 cards (PDF format) – one for each chemical element Each card includes: element symbol, name, and atomic number Use them as a memory game (print twice) or flashcards for review Black-and-white format allows for optional color coding (e.g. element groups or states of matter) In my classroom: I’ve used this resource with grades 7–10, both during our unit on the periodic table and as a review activity. Some groups like to sort the cards by group or period before playing. Others enjoy using them competitively, seeing who can name the most elements based on symbol alone. There’s also room for differentiation: stronger students can work without a periodic table for support, while others use it alongside. The black-and-white version is copy-friendly and works well if you want students to color-code elements (e.g. metals vs. non-metals). You can also adapt the game for faster learners by having them group elements or research additional properties. This is a low-prep activity you can use again and again – whether as a center activity, partner task, or quick review before a test. Just print, cut, and play. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we create a positive and welcoming learning environment. 🐶

60 Blob-Style Clipart Backgrounds – For Teaching Materials, Posters, and Digital Resources Hand-drawn blobs to add color and personality to your classroom designs 🎨 PNG If you're creating your own worksheets, presentations, or classroom posters, it’s nice to have design elements that make your materials feel more individual and inviting—without distracting from the content. That’s why I created these 60 background cliparts in a fun, blob-inspired style. Each element is hand-drawn using Procreate and saved as a high-quality PNG file , so they’re easy to insert into PowerPoint, Canva, Word, Google Slides, or any digital notebook like GoodNotes. You can use them for headers, cover pages, memory cards, game materials, or just to decorate your resources in a way that feels personal and clear. What’s included (all in PNG format): 12 circular blob backgrounds 12 oval backgrounds 12 wavy washi-tape blobs 12 transparent organic blobs 12 striped transparent overlays That makes 60 colorful, flexible clipart pieces you can mix and match across your projects. Worm Composting in the School Garden – Info Posters for the Classroom Visual Guide to Worm Composting for Grades 3–8 🪱🌿 Worm box in the school garden - Compost - Worm bin This set of three info posters provides a clear and age-appropriate introduction to worm composting. Designed for students in grades 3–6, the materials explain how a worm bin works, what can go into it, and how it contributes to sustainable gardening. The posters are ideal for classrooms with a school garden or composting project. They serve as a visual aid to help students understand the composting process and the role of worms in breaking down organic waste. The language is simple, and the illustrations are easy to follow – even for younger learners or multilingual groups. What’s included: Three printable posters (PDF) with clear illustrations and explanations Topics covered: setting up a worm bin, suitable materials for composting, and the benefits of worm composting Suitable for display in the classroom, garden area, or near the compost bin These posters support hands-on learning and can be integrated into science lessons on ecosystems, recycling, or environmental stewardship. I’ve used them in combination with a real worm box project – the students loved checking what the worms were doing and became much more aware of food waste. This resource is available in English and is designed to complement practical activities in the school garden. It’s also a nice visual reminder that even small actions – like feeding worms – can make a difference for the environment. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from Lernfitness Biology teacher (Chemistry teacher, Math teacher) Did You Know?
