This is a bingo game that practices all the Primer high-frequency sight words. Along with that, this resource features a bunch of flash cards that you can use to introduce and practice these words. You can choose to print them with sharp edges or curved ones, though I prefer the curved ones. Otherwise students might hurt themselves on the edges, which is something we'd like to prevent altogether. Now with this resource come a bunch of Bingo sheets. So just print out the flash cards and draw them one by one. The students can now cross the words off from their very own bingo cards. Once they have filled out the entire card, they can yell out the magic word, which is of course BINGO. You csn decide for yourself if you also want to attach a prize to this in order to motivate your students even more. Finally, there are word lists.

Longtime fans have been asking us to make this long vowel resource for a while, and we have finally decided to take the plunge. It turned out to be a pretty awesome resource. First off, use the PDF based digital file to introduce these long vowel sounds to your students. You just open the file and show it full screen. Then use the arrow keys to go from one page to another. This way you can also stop the slideshow if something is too difficult for your students. After this, you can give them the digital multiple choice test. The correct answer will be circled in green and the incorrect ones are red. This makes it abundantly clear what the right answer is. But there are a bunch of printable files as well. How about the vocab lists en tests? And then there are the flash cards too, either with round or with sharp corners. All and all, a very complete resource to practice long vowel sounds.

This OR Digraph decodable reading book + matching PowerPoint for guided reading is the 19th book in a series that can help children with special needs pupils develop reading fluency. Each book has a matching PowerPoint, making it suitable for various settings. The Jack Stories, of which this book is one, introduces one phonic sound at a time, and subsequent books build on the vocabulary of the books before, constantly revising and reviewing learned sounds. Irregular sight words are only slowly and gradually introduced. Science of reading aligned. Based on the most up-to-date phonic research. These books should be read sequentially as they tell one long story, each telling a part. This book contains words with the following sounds: CK: OO, EE and SH and CH, ND & NT Endings, TH, AR and OR. The series of books can also be purchased as a growing bundle with a scope and sequence - one file, less clutter! This series has been written with the aid of one of my pupils, aged 8. He has drawn some of the pictures. What makes this phonic reading programme for special needs different? · It has its own, easy-to-download and print phonic reading books, making it accessible to many children worldwide. · Each book carefully builds on the vocabulary of those that have gone before, providing much repetition, without relying on predictable text. · Pictures aid the storyline without encouraging reading from the pictures – i.e. guessing. · The vocabulary is based on phonic families, which are introduced in a carefully planned way. · True sight words – those that cannot be sounded out - are kept to a minimum. Most words are introduced in their phonic family wherever possible. · It is truly multisensory, using the power of the hand. We not only look at the words, but we write them too. This is powerful and has the bonus of turning the child not only into a reader but into a writer as well. Pinecone Counting Freebie This is a Pinecone Counting Activity that is perfect for your elementary math students. Preschool – 1st grade students can effectively utilize this activity . The objective of this activity is to correctly form numbers and work out sums. What You Get: A 1-page printable PDF that consists of the numbers 1-10 printed on pinecones with a blank log slice. How to Use the Pinecone Counting Freebie: You can do a number of fun activities with this Pinecone Counting Freebie, but first you need to prepare it! You will print this page and laminate it. After it is laminated, you’ll need to cut out all 10 cones and the wooden log slice. Some activity suggestions include: 1. Students will select a pinecone to place on the log slice. Students will identify that number and use a dry erase marker to practice writing the number correctly. 2. Students will select a pinecone. On the log slice, they will use a dry erase marker and draw objects to represent the number they chose. 3. Students will select two pinecones. They will add these numbers together and write their sum on the log slice. This can easily be made into a fun partner game or small group center with the teacher. The teacher (or the partner) can select the two pinecones, then show them to everyone in the group. Each person in the group will need to write down what they believe is the sum on their own log slice. No matter which activity you choose, you can be certain that students will get all the practice they need with these math skills! I hope you enjoy!! This resource is a comprehensive lesson that uses 20 fruit-related vocabulary words. First off, you can introduce these words by using the PDF -based presentation. With the arrow keys, you just move from one word to another to make your students familiar with them. Next, You can hand out the vocabulary lists. Beware that these are made with color, so in order to be eco-friendly you might want to use black and white ink. Once the students have taken these lists home, they can do the vocabulary test in their next class. They can practice with the words by utilizing the included flash cards. These just need to be printed, laminated, and cut. Beware of sharp edges though. You can use the curved edges version to avoid annoying pinches. Finally, use the Wacky Words activity to have a really good time in class. With this, all the letters are mixed up. Students love this.
