These spring themed addition cards, designed for kindergarten math centers, are an excellent resource for practicing addition within 10. Offering hands-on experience, the cards assist students in solving math facts by finding the sum for each card, using number sentences. This practical approach offers numerous opportunities for learners to engage with and hone their addition skills. What is Included: Addition Number Bond Cards for finding the sum within 10 Addition Math Mats and Acorn Counters to assist students in solving each addition fact This addition card set contains one card for each addition fact for sums within 10. Students will find these math addition cards engaging and fun. These cards easily differentiated so students on different levels can still be successful. By including the addition number bond, number sentence mats and counters, students are provided a hands on way to solve each problem if they need the extra support. Teachers may choose to use real candy hearts or other manipulatives to assist in counting if they do not wish to print and prep the heart counters. These centers are easy and low prep, just print, laminate and cut. They can be used as task boxes, traditional math centers or as morning basket or morning tub activities. How Can These Activities Be Used? Task Boxes - Place the cut apart cards in a task box with a dry erase marker for students to solve each addition fact. Math Centers - Simply place the cards in a math center for students to complete independently or with a partner. Morning Tubs or Baskets - Place the cards in a morning bin for students to work on as their classmates arrive to class. Early Finishers - As students finish other classwork early they can choose these cards to work on. Emergency Sub Plans - The easy to assign nature of these cards make them ideal activities to leave for subs. Small Group Activities - These cards make a great small group activity as the teacher can pull aside small groups of students who need help with specific math facts. These addition fact cards can be used as a whole sheet of addition problems and placed inside a page protector for students to use dry erase markers to complete. They can also be cut apart and used as task cards or flash cards for students to practice addition fluency. With this Phonics / Silent Letters for 1st and 2nd Grade: MB, WR, KN, and GN your students will be able to identify the silent letter words and become better readers as they practice each sound and learn the words that are associated with these sounds. Each worksheet as many activities for the following silent letters: WR, GN, MB, and KN silent letter sounds. This unit is perfect for whole group, individual work, centers, or homework to complete on their own. These fun and engaging activities will help your student match, read, write, and identify the silent sounds in words. With so much practice, students will be able to master these sounds and become better readers. Also included are short reading passages where they will then answer comprehension questions on what they read. All tools helpful to young readers and engaging at the same time. For each sound in this unit, students will: Start with reading a short and easy passage and identify the silent letter words and highlight or color those words. They will also identify at least five words from the reading passage with the silent letter sound. Included are comprehension questions about the passage that each student will answer. Students will also fill in the missing word in a sentence from a word bank that highlights the silent letter sound. On another worksheet, students will complete a cut, sort, and matching activity with the silent letter words and glue them to the correct picture. With a paperclip, students will spin the silent letter word and match it to the correct picture. Lastly, they will complete a word search for the silent letter sounds. This Unit focuses on the Long U Sounds! Learning how to read can be the most challenging activity for students and for a teacher. Understanding that the combination of letters can make the same vowel sound requires lots of repetitive practice of reading and writing these words with these sounds. There are other phonics units that I sell that focuses on the Long A sound with a combination of different letters, the Long E sound with a combination of different letters, the Long I sound with a combination of different letters, and the Long O sound with a combination of different letters. Reading can be made easier with these phonic helps that repeatedly encourage students to practice these Long U sounds. Activities include reading comprehension and identifying the Long U in their reading, writing their answers to questions regarding the paragraph, identifying additional Long U words in sentences using a word bank, matching words with pictures, spinning a paperclip activity where students will write the word with the Long U sound, and lastly a fun wordsearch with variations of Long U words. These activities are for each long vowel words that are focused on the Long U sounds so there are plenty of opportunities for students to practice their comprehension reading skills and phonic sounds. Students will practice the following Long U Word sounds: U_E, EW, OO, UE, UI and OU. Teachers can use this resource in whole group, individually with students, students can practice with each other in centers, or these worksheets can be assigned as homework. Worksheets are also differentiated for each Long U sounds for all young learners which makes it perfect for all 1st - 2nd graders. A total of 38 pages full of reading and phonic activities.
