With this AGE words CVCe word sentence and picture matching literacy center , students can practice reading comprehension and reading fluency. This reading comprehension activity uses decodable sentences, with words that follow the silent e spelling rule, as well as bold, easy to recognize pictures to match or sort. This AGE Word Family packet includes: This resource includes as set of sentence cards that focus on AGE words and early sight words. Each sentence has a colorful picture to match the sentence. How to Use this Resource: In this literacy activity, students will read each sentences on each card, and then they will match the sentence to the correct image. This activity will make a great literacy station for kindergartners and first graders who are learning CVCe words and reading comprehension. This literacy activity allows students to receive tons of practice reading AGE words in the context of sentences. These simple sentence and picture matching activity will allow students to have a tactile way to practice reading comprehension that focuses on words in the AGE word family. They will have stay engaged and have fun as they complete this literacy activity. Students can work independently or with a partner to complete this literacy center . Alternative Ways to Use this Resource: The teacher can place magnets on the back of each picture card and sentence card, and then use a cookie tray to sort the cards. The magnets will keep the cards from sliding around. The teacher can place the sentence strips in a file folder and place hook and loop fasteners to the picture cards and the file folders to make file folder sorting activity. Skills Assessed: This deck allows students to practice reading CVCe words from the AGE word family as well as testing students' reading comprehension skills with simple sentences. This reading comprehension activity is low prep. Teacher simply need to print the activity, cut apart the cards and laminate, if desired, for a reusable center . The pieces can be stored inside a pencil box or bag for easy set up, clean up, and storage.

It is suited for students in the middle grades (6-10), using social media platforms as a focused topic. How to Use: Start by introducing the goal: Working together, we will design a class constitution about appropriate behavior when using Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok, Facebook, etc. Talk about using positive language when creating rules (DO instead of DON'T). Decide if you will allow students to find their own examples on approved social media sites, or look for examples yourself before giving this lesson. Go through the 4 scenarios: When someone looks different, When someone goes through a tragedy, When someone disagrees with you, When you disagree with what someone else does. For each scenario, students will look for examples of positive and negative comments, and you can use the prompt questions to get students thinking about how people act online in these situations. skip counting by 10s bingo - boards 1-5

Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing skip counting by 10 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on skip counting in 10s! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. Over 60 target words for /k/ and /g/ in all word positions! Three different games/activities included. For articulation groups or individual therapy. Great for springtime but can be used all year long! ✏ DIRECTIONS FOR USE Three different games/activities included. For articulation groups or individual therapy. 1. Dice Word Drill Place a regular dice in your egg carton with your overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box and open it. Wherever the dice lands, the student must say the corresponding word however many times the dice says. For example, if the student shakes the box and the dice lands on five under the word “cake,” the student must say the word “cake” five times. •Student can use the Monitoring Card to check off the words they have already said and to rate their productions. •To use Sentence Strips with this activity , play as directed above except instead of saying the word only, they must say it in a sentence. 2. Word Match-Up Cut up the little “match-up” word squares and place one in your egg carton with the corresponding overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box and open it. The student is trying to make the little picture land in the space that matches with the same picture in the top overlay. If the little picture lands under a word that doesn’t match, the student must say that word and try again until they match. Once they get the right match, the student can use the Monitoring Card to check off the word. Repeat until all words have been matched. 3. Picture Search Cut up the little “match-up” word squares and place one in your egg carton with the corresponding overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box but do not open it. Use the sentence strips to guess where the picture will be. Have them ask, “Where is the ____?” “Is it under the ___?”. If they get it wrong, try again. If they guess right, use the sentence strip, “I found the ____!” ♥ I suggest printing on card stock and laminating. Use tape to affix overlay to egg carton. Overview of the Lesson Plan: The Intriguing Life Cycle of Butterflies Get ready for an exciting 90-minute butterfly-themed adventure!
