Beginning and Final Blends Flashcards
ELA, Phonics, Language Development, Pre-Reading, Special Education Needs (SEN), Special Resources, Grade 1, Flashcards, Worksheets & Printables, Games, Activities
Beginning and Final Blends Flashcards with pictures A set of beginning and final blends with both letters and matching pictures. This set covers the following beginning blends: sw, sk, st, sp, sl, sn, sm, bl, be, cl, cr, dr, fr, fl, gr, gl, pl, pr, tr, tw And the following final blends: ft, lk, nd , nt, mp, st, lt, sk, nk This set of consonant blends flashcards contains the blends a child will most likely need for their current reading/spelling level, if they are just learning to hear four sounds in a word with a short vowel sound. Once a child meets more advanced vocabulary, the child’s ability to decode will be such that they will no longer need consonant blends flashcards - the skill will be more or less automatic. A child does not need to know every consonant blend by heart. What is needed is the ability to hear the two sounds in a blend to spell and to blend two consonants to read. Phonemic awareness of the blends is a good place to start. How to use the Beginning and Final Blends Flashcards with pictures: ·If you print the letters and their matching pictures back to back, you will have a set of self-correcting cards with which a child can practice reading the consonant blends. ·If you print the letters and pictures separately, then you can let the child match letters to pictures, selecting just as many as the child can cope with, at a given time. For some children, learning the consonant blends is not an easy skill, so it may be advisable, once the child has an idea of what is needed, to move on to the next skill, as there will be plenty of opportunities to practice the blends as the child progresses through a phonic programme.

Chemistry Binder Covers – Templates for Classroom Use Organize your chemistry handouts, notes, and units with visual clarity Simple and flexible templates to help organize your chemistry materials In my chemistry classes, it can be a challenge to keep things organized - especially when it comes to multiple units, lab notes, worksheets and review materials. To make it easier for my students and myself, I designed these simple binder sleeves. There are 12 different pages. The covers have a clean, colorful blob layout that is friendly but not distracting. I usually print them out and use them as cover sheets or as dividers in folders for students or teachers. They also work well for digital learning environments, e.g. as section covers in PDF files or on classroom platforms. I like that the color scheme allows students to quickly find what they are looking for, and it brings a little more structure to a subject that is often riddled with formulas and technical terms. When used as cover sheets, students can choose their favorite color for their cover sheet. This resource is handy - and has saved me a lot of time in lesson preparation and follow-up. What’s included: 12 chemistry-themed cover pages different colors zu choose as a cover sheet as a divider between the individual chemistry topics I've printed these on colored paper for my own binder and also used them digitally in student notebooks. Works well for both teacher organization and student-facing materials. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from Lernfitness Chemistry teacher (Biology teacher, Math teacher) in Germany Did You Know? Number Bonds 6-10 Bingo - Boards 6-10
Math, Fact Families, Addition and Subtraction, Addition, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Games
Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing number bonds to 10 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on number bonds for numbers 6-10! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white.
