Pumpkin Counting to 10 Fine Motor Cards

Students will have fun counting up to 10 and practicing fine motor skills with these pumpkin themed fine motor cards. These cards allow students to get ample practice counting to 10 with the colorful and fun images centered around pumpkins. Students will want to complete these cards again and again. What is Included: There is one pumpkin themed card for each number 1 through 10. Each clip card includes colorful and bright images to keep students engaged in counting. How to Use: Students will take a card. They will look at the pumpkin number, and then use playdough to create the correct number of pumpkin seeds to place on the card. The teacher may also use real pumpkin seeds as counters. When to Use: Math Center - These cards can be used in a math center by simply placing the cards and playdough inside each center . Students can work independently or with a partner to complete these cards. Morning Activity - These cards can be placed inside a morning tub or basket for students to work on as classmates arrive to class. Fall Alphabet Match Game – Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Center

Fall Alphabet Match Game Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Center Spot It Style Cards for Early Literacy This fall-themed alphabet game is a playful way for students to practice uppercase and lowercase letters. The activity is based on a “find the match” system: each card has exactly one letter in common with another card, and students have to be the first to spot it. I have used this kind of game format with kindergarten and first grade, and it usually gets the whole group involved quickly. The set includes 93 cards in total, divided into three different versions of 31 cards each. There are round cards, hexagons, and squares. I usually prepare the square version when I need something quick to cut, but the round cards feel more like a traditional game and always catch students’ attention. The hexagons are a nice option if you want a different look. Each card shows six pictures, with the letters hidden among them, so students have to focus closely to find the match. This type of activity works well for building letter recognition, both uppercase and lowercase. It also helps with visual perception, concentration, and taking turns in a group setting. In my classroom, I sometimes keep the game in a literacy center, and other times I use it as a quick warm-up before a reading lesson. It is flexible enough to use in small groups, partner work, or even as an early finisher option. The set also comes with tally sheets, which give students an extra chance to record their letters and practice writing. Some of my students liked keeping track of their matches this way, which turned the game into a mix of play and writing practice. Preparation is simple: print the cards, cut them apart, and laminate if you want them to last longer. Once made, they store easily in a small envelope or box and can be used again each fall. This resource is designed for kindergarten and the early grades, but older students sometimes enjoy it as a quick challenge too. Apple Alphabet Clip Cards

Kindergarteners and preschoolers will have a blast practicing letter recognition with these fall alphabet clip cards. Students will get tons exposure to matching capital and lowercase letters as well as building fine motor skills by using clothes clips to identify each letter. What is Included: Each letter has four clip cards, for a total of 104 clip cards. Activities included with these clip cards are matching a capital letter to the same capital letter, matching a lowercase letter to the same lowercase letter and matching a capital letter with its corresponding lowercase letter. How to Use: To use these clip cards, students will need to use a clip or some other manipulative to mark each clip card. Students will look at the letter on each apple card and then clip or cover the letter that matches the letter on the apple. The teacher may choose to use other objects, like counters, bingo chips or mini erasers to identify each correct answer. The clip cards can be laminated so students can mark their correct responses with dry erase. Get students up and moving with this Sports Charades Indoor Recess Gross Motor Game. This game allows students to get up and moving when they cannot go outside. This game can also be used during a brain break time. What is Included: This resource includes instructions for playing the game as well as the cards used during the game. How to Play The first way to play is listed in the instructions of this resource. The playing cards are placed face down. One student takes a card and begins to act out what the card says. The other students must guess what sports themed activity the student is doing. Repeat with a different student until all cards are used. The second way to play is to have the teacher have the students freeze in place. Make sure each student has enough room to move without touching other students. The teacher will then read one of the cards to the students and the students will act out whatever was on the card. The students will freeze again at the teacher's command and a new card is picked. Repeat this until all of the cards are used. When to Use: Rainy Day Indoor Recess: If the weather does not permit you from going outside, this game is the perfect way to help get some of that energy out! Gross Motor Game: If you need a game for students to do that works with an apple theme, this one is a great way to get students moving while thinking about different actions associated with apples! Brain Break: Do the students need a break from their work? This game can provide a quick way for students to do something fun for a few minutes to reset their minds to get learning again! This gross motor game is a low prep option for teachers to make. Once the cards are printed and cut apart, the teacher just needs to grab the cards and get started with the game. The quick set up means little time is wasted between activities!

Get those fingers working with these Pumpkin Fine Motor Connecting Cube mats. Students will be challenged to use connecting cubes to build different objects associated with pumpkins. What is included: There are four different cards for students to build pumpkin themed objects. The cards include building three different pumpkin shapes to build as well as a slide of pumpkin pie. How to Use: Students will choose one of the sports themed cards. They will use the colored connecting cube blocks and create the same object that is on the card. When to Use: Fine Motor Center - The cards and blocks can be placed in a fine motor center for students to complete together or with a partner during center time. Morning Tubs - These cards and blocks can be put inside a morning basket for students to work on while waiting for classmates to arrive to class. Quiet Time Activity - This activity works well for students who do not nap. Once classmates are asleep, students can work quietly building the shapes on these cards. The cards in this set are a low prep activity. The cards need to be printed and cut apart and, if desired, laminated for durability. Once made, the teacher just needs to add the connecting blocks to the cards and the center is all set. The cards can be stored inside a task box for easy set up, clean up, and storage. Using a larger pencil box can allow the blocks and cards to be stored in the same container. Skills Assessed: This activity helps build up fine motor skills by putting together and taking apart the blocks. This activity determines if students can look at and copy an image using blocks. This activity determines if students can match colors by making sure they choose the correct colored blocks according to the picture.
