The activities in this set help students practice with the same set of words enough to learn them through a variety of modalities. This set contains word list > j <. All words begin with the letter a. Please see my other sets for each letter of the alphabet as well! Words are chosen from 4th grade but can easily span 3rd-5th grade special education learners. Handwriting Patterns Book

This is a first, simple handwriting patterns book helping young children to develop good pencil control necessary for good handwriting. Order and steps: Each page has a fun activity to help young children learn to control the pencil. Starting with straight lines, they can take bees to flowers and cars along the road, and draw stems on flowers and branches on trees. Moving onto curved lines, they can take the horses to grass, and fly jet planes through the sky! For zig zag lines, students can bounce a ball, go upstairs and draw patterns of needles on a fir tree. For circles they can draw balls and then a pattern of lines and circles with bats and balls. We then move onto more complex patterns and curves, finishing with some letter shape movements: sticks, circles, v, w, o, u and c shapes. What is included: 1 PDF. There are 21 pages of patterns Printing and paper Each page is just right-for-little-hands A5 size. Print 2 pages per A4 sheet and either fold and staple (if you print as a booklet, flip on the short edge), or cut into 2 pages. The time before the holidays can get a little crazy in the classroom. Students are ready for a break and teachers are too! Keep your class engaged with EIGHT Days of math review! The ACTIVITIES are suitable for 5th grade and 6th grade. They are great for easy and fast sub plans. I use them as an 'end of the day carrot' that my students look forward to. They can't leave for the day without getting a step closer to finding Santa so it helps them to stay focused throughout the day so that we have time for the fun activity at the end of the day. One of the best parts: NO PREP required! This is not only great for distance learning but also great if you have run out of copies for the month and need a digital version fast... or if you just forget to make your copies for the week. (It's happened to me! - too. many things to keep track of) The pages do print beautiful in color and black and white if you have the time, but don't fret if you don't. Just assign it on Google Classroom - directions included. If you haven't taught the topic yet, it is a great mini lesson and if you have taught it, it can act as a review. (There are also some fun logic puzzles sprinkled in.) dividing decimals multiplying decimals dividing whole numbers multiplying whole numbers adding decimals subtracting decimals deducing information measurement conversions practicing with money problem solving graphing predicting and having fun! Each task builds off the next. Students will get clues as to where Santa might be hiding AFTER they correctly solve each math task. And don't worry, there is an ANSWER KEY. This resource lends itself to independent work but students can also work in groups of pairs to solve. Don't forget about the other holidays! This is a Buggy Addition Worksheet . It is 5-page printable for students to use. The first two pages both have numbers 1-10 at the top of the page. Each number is accompanied by a little bug with the corresponding number of dots. At the bottom of each of these pages is a blank addition template. Students will cut out the numbers 1-20 on page 5. The addition boards and the numbers should be laminated for repeated use. The cut-out numbers 1-10 can be placed in one baggie. The cut-out numbers 11-20 can be placed in another baggie. Students will pull two numbers from the 1-10 baggie and set it on the addition board. In order to find the answer, students can count the dots on the bugs to find the answer. They will pull the correct answer out of the other baggie. This makes a fun math center or small group activity. Pages 3 and 4 will give students handwriting practice for numbers 1-10. On one page, they will trace the number. On the next page, they will trace the name of the number. This will reinforce the spelling of numbers, so students can quickly identify number names. These two worksheets could also be laminated and used with a dry erase marker.

This is a quick, easy, and engaging activity to give preschooler or kindergartener students who need practice with recognizing the lowercase form of the letter X, who need practice recognizing numbers up to 10, as well as for those students who need extra practice counting to 10.
