Dog Breeds Coloring Domino โ€“ Fun and Educational Game

Dog Breeds Coloring Domino โ€“ Fun and Educational Game
ELA, Language Development, ESL, Special Resources, Science, Basic Science, Life Sciences, Animals, Biology, STEM, Grade 6, Projects, Activities, Classroom Decor, Drawing Templates & Outlines, Worksheets & Printables, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Word Walls, Games

Dog Breeds Domino โ€“ A Calm Coloring & Matching Game for Elementary Students This printable domino game is a quiet and creative way for students to explore different dog breeds while practicing matching skills and early reading. The cards are all black and white, so students can color them themselves โ€“ something my third graders always look forward to. It gives them a sense of ownership over the material and creates a nice break from more structured tasks. The idea is simple: each domino shows either a dog breed name or a drawing, and students have to find the correct pairs. The illustrations are clear and recognizable, even without color, so they work well for younger learners or students still developing their vocabulary. The breed names are printed in an easy-to-read font, which helps build confidence in early readers. Iโ€™ve used this activity in a few different contexts: โ€“ as a quiet task for early finishers โ€“ in small group centers โ€“ during indoor recess on rainy days โ€“ or as part of a broader unit on animals and pets It also opens up room for short, low-pressure conversations โ€“ for example, โ€œWhich one do you think is the fastest?โ€ or โ€œWould you want a dog like that at home?โ€ If you work with a therapy or school dog, like I do, itโ€™s a great way to bring that connection into the classroom without needing a full lesson plan. The file includes 20 domino cards that you can print and cut out. I recommend using heavier paper or laminating the cards if you plan to reuse them. Depending on the group, you can let students color all the cards first or wait until theyโ€™ve completed a match. This is one of those activities that feels more like a calm puzzle than a โ€œgameโ€ โ€“ which is exactly what some students need in a busy school day. ๐Ÿ’› Warmest wishes, Heike from Lernfitness & Happy Joe ๐Ÿถโœจ Did You Know? Chemical Elements โ€“ Matching Pairs Game & Flashcards (1โ€“118)

Chemical Elements โ€“ Matching Pairs Game & Flashcards (1โ€“118)
STEM, Science, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Montessori, Basic Science, Grade 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Teacher Tools, Flashcards, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters

Chemical Elements โ€“ Matching Pairs Game & Flashcards (1โ€“118) 118 cards for learning the periodic table A visual and interactive way to explore the periodic table ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿง  This printable card set includes all 118 chemical elements and can be used either as a classic memory game or as flashcards for independent practice. Each card features the elementโ€™s symbol, atomic number, and name โ€“ providing a clear and accessible entry point into the world of chemistry. The cards are designed to be used flexibly. You can print them twice to play Matching Pairs (also known as Memoryยฎ), where students turn over cards and try to find identical pairs. This helps improve concentration and recall while reinforcing studentsโ€™ familiarity with element symbols and atomic numbers. Whatโ€™s included: 118 cards (PDF format) โ€“ one for each chemical element Each card includes: element symbol, name, and atomic number Use them as a memory game (print twice) or flashcards for review Black-and-white format allows for optional color coding (e.g. element groups or states of matter) In my classroom: Iโ€™ve used this resource with grades 7โ€“10, both during our unit on the periodic table and as a review activity. Some groups like to sort the cards by group or period before playing. Others enjoy using them competitively, seeing who can name the most elements based on symbol alone. Thereโ€™s also room for differentiation: stronger students can work without a periodic table for support, while others use it alongside. The black-and-white version is copy-friendly and works well if you want students to color-code elements (e.g. metals vs. non-metals). You can also adapt the game for faster learners by having them group elements or research additional properties. This is a low-prep activity you can use again and again โ€“ whether as a center activity, partner task, or quick review before a test. Just print, cut, and play. ๐Ÿ“ Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we create a positive and welcoming learning environment. ๐Ÿถ

GHS Pictogram Clipart โ€“ Glitter Design for Chemistry Classrooms & Craf

GHS Pictogram Clipart โ€“ Glitter Design for Chemistry Classrooms & Craf
Common Core, Science, STEM, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Technology, Basic Science, Resources for Teachers, Homeschool Templates, Homeschool Curriculum, Grade 10, 11, 12, Classroom Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters, Teacher Tools, Word Walls, Door Decor, Experiments, Activities, Labs, Worksheets & Printables

GHS Pictogram Cliparts Glitter Design for Chemistry Classrooms, Crafts and Materials PNG If youโ€™ve ever found the standard GHS (Globally Harmonized System) pictograms a bit too plain or uninspiring for your teaching materials, youโ€™re not alone. Thatโ€™s exactly why I decided to redesign them with a fresh twist. These 18 clipartsโ€”9 in portrait and 9 in landscape formatโ€”combine the clarity of the official hazard symbols with a visually striking glitter effect. The colors remain true to the original system (red border, black symbol), but the glitter gives them a unique and eye-catching feel. I created each of these cliparts by hand in Procreate, with the classroom in mind. Theyโ€™re still clearly recognizable as hazard pictograms, but they add a touch of design that fits beautifully into worksheets, posters, or digital resources. Ways you might use these in your classroom or materials: โ€“ Labeling chemical containers in a more engaging way โ€“ Gluing into student chemistry notebooks to support safety topics โ€“ Decorating posters or bulletin boards about lab safety rules โ€“ Enhancing worksheets or lab instructions visually โ€“ Adding to PowerPoint, Keynote, or Genially presentations โ€“ Integrating into digital learning platforms or safety training resources โ€“ Using them in flashcards for visual reinforcement Since youโ€™ll receive both portrait and landscape versions (in PNG format with transparent backgrounds), you can easily adjust them to your layout or format. Whether you're printing or working digitally, the designs remain sharp and flexible. These glitter-style symbols were made to support safety awareness while also respecting visual design preferencesโ€”especially for teachers or students who appreciate a bit more flair in their materials. Usage rights: You may use the cliparts both privately and commercially within educational content, as long as your own contribution is clearly visible. Please do not resell the graphics individually. Wishing you lots of creativity while designing your materials, โ€“ Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Chemistry Blackboard Cards โ€“ Chemical Elements 1โ€“118

Chemistry Blackboard Cards โ€“ Chemical Elements 1โ€“118
STEM, Science, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Montessori, Basic Science, Grade 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Teacher Tools, Flashcards, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters, Presentations

Chemistry Blackboard Cards โ€“ Chemical Elements 1โ€“118 Visual support for teaching the periodic table in grades 7โ€“11 ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿงฒ This printable set contains blackboard-sized cards for all 118 chemical elements, designed to make the periodic table more accessible and interactive in your classroom. Each card includes the elementโ€™s name, atomic number, and chemical symbol in a clean, easy-to-read format โ€“ perfect for whiteboard work, displays, and hands-on sorting tasks. The cards are arranged two per A4 page and can be printed, laminated, and reused across many lessons. Iโ€™ve used them to build a large-scale classroom periodic table, support sorting games by group or period, and even for spontaneous quizzes at the board. Whatโ€™s included: 118 blackboard cards (PDF format) Each card shows: element name, chemical symbol, atomic number 2 cards per A4 page for easy printing Black-and-white, ideal for printing and possible color-coding How itโ€™s used in class: These cards are great for front-of-class instruction but also work well in group activities or as a station-based task. Students can work in teams to arrange the elements in correct order, match symbols to names, or explore relationships between groups and periods. Because the design is simple and consistent, students can focus on the content rather than being distracted by layout. The cards support visual learning and active participation. Theyโ€™re especially useful for mixed-ability classes: more confident students might work from memory, while others use a printed periodic table for support. You can also let students take on teaching roles by explaining selected elements to peers at the board. This is a practical tool for visualizing chemistry concepts โ€“ no extra prep required beyond printing and cutting. Laminate for longer use. ๐Ÿ“ Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Therapy Dog - Helping Students Reflect with Therapy Dogs ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’ญ

Therapy Dog - Helping Students Reflect with Therapy Dogs ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’ญ

Helping Students Reflect with Therapy Dogs ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’ญ Thereโ€™s something special about the presence of a therapy dog in the classroom. Even the most restless students seem to relax. Some kids who rarely speak up suddenly open up. And for many, itโ€™s the first time theyโ€™ve had a chance to experience the unconditional support that a dog offers. But what if we took that experience and turned it into a learning moment? Thatโ€™s exactly what this reflection activity does. It helps students think about what kindness means, why responsibility matters, and how their actions affect othersโ€”whether those others have two legs or four. Why This Activity Feels Different โœ” It gets students thinking, not just answering. Itโ€™s not about memorizing facts. Itโ€™s about pausing for a moment and reflecting on simple but meaningful questions. โœ” It connects emotions with actions. Why do therapy dogs have rules? Why does kindness matter? These questions lead to unexpectedly deep discussions. โœ” Itโ€™s easy for any grade level. Younger kids can draw their answers, while older students might write or discuss. No one feels left out. โœ” It works with or without a therapy dog. Even if your school doesnโ€™t have one, this still sparks conversations about empathy and responsibility. โœ” No prep required. Just print it out, hand it to students, and let them think. How I Use It in My Classroom ๐Ÿ“Œ First, we talk. I ask, โ€œHow do animals teach us about kindness?โ€ or โ€œWhat do therapy dogs need from us?โ€ The answers are never what I expectโ€”and thatโ€™s the best part. ๐Ÿ“Œ Then, students reflect. They complete a few simple but thoughtful prompts about their own behavior, their emotions, and what theyโ€™ve learned. ๐Ÿ“Œ Next, we share (if they want to). I never make sharing mandatory. But Iโ€™m always surprised by how many students want to. ๐Ÿ“Œ Finally, we put up the poster. Itโ€™s a small reminder that kindness and responsibility go beyond the classroom. ๐Ÿถ One more idea: If you have a therapy dog visit your class, have students read their reflections to the dog. Youโ€™d be amazed at how much more open and engaged they become! What Other Teachers Have Said โœ” โ€œI used this before our first therapy dog visit, and it made a huge difference in how students behaved around the dog.โ€ โœ” โ€œItโ€™s simple but powerful. The class discussions that came from this were amazing.โ€ โœ” โ€œPerfect for social-emotional learning, even without a therapy dog!โ€ Why This Activity Sticks with Students At the end of the day, this isnโ€™t just another worksheet. Itโ€™s a way to help students slow down, think about their actions, and reflect on what really mattersโ€”whether thatโ€™s how they interact with a therapy dog, a classmate, or the world around them. ๐Ÿ“ฅ Give it a tryโ€”you might be surprised by what your students come up with. ๐Ÿถโœจ ๐Ÿ“ Warmly, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we create a positive and inspiring learning environment. ๐Ÿถโœจ

What makes it practical for teachers: Iโ€™ve used these door hangers when starting a new school year, during transition phases, or when I wanted to quietly support studentsโ€™ confidence. They also work well in substitute lessons or as a calming station activity. The Viking theme adds just the right amount of playfulness without feeling too childish. Easy prep, lots of uses: Print, cut, and let students decorate their door hangers with drawings or personal messages. You can hang them on lockers, desks, or classroom walls. Some teachers also use them for class community projects or parent nights. This activity encourages self-reflection in a gentle and creative way โ€“ and reminds students that recognizing their own strengths is part of learning too. This is more than just a decoration โ€“ itโ€™s a tool for early math learning wrapped in a bit of adventure. ๐Ÿ“ Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Dinosaur Fossils Poster

A fun hand-painted watercolor game where you can find your fossils. To create a tactile finished item, I highly recommend printing onto high-quality paper. I like to use watercolor paper because every piece looks and feels like an original painting. To make a reusable version of the game, laminate the game boards and uses wipe clean markers.
