3D Shapes Flash Cards (Anchor Charts) & Posters with Real-Life Examples for Preschool, Montessori, and Kindergarten I made these 3D shape cards visuals with young children in my mind. Many kids can name flat shapes, but it takes more time to understand the concept of 3D Shapes. In this resource, I have also included the visuals of real life examples to make the students understand the concept of solid shapes easily. This set includes flash cards that show common 3D shapes along with objects children realize they already know. Seeing the shapes connected to real things helps the idea click much faster. You may use these cards during circle time, small groups, and math centers. These cards can be used in different ways. Some teachers like to display them as posters or anchor charts, while others may use them as flash cards or sorting cards. I have included both the color as well as the black and white version of this resource, so you can print what works best for you. The shapes included inside are cone, cube, cuboid (rectangular prism), sphere, cylinder, and pyramid. Phonics Chart: Alphabet chart A Bright, colourful, phonetically correct alphabet chart ! A colourful A4-size alphabet picture chart to help children learn to recognise the upper and lower case letters of the alphabet. Each letter has a picture of an object that begins with that sound. 2 font styles are included. When children are first starting to learn letter shapes and sounds, it is helpful to have a handy reference chart that the children can use to aid recall or letter shapes and a picture cue to the sound each letter stands for. There are many ways to use these charts: Wall reference Desk reference - give one to each child; special needs children especially find them helpful. Wall reference: a wall chart Play quick games: Put a counter on the letter that says /t/, for example, and play until all letters are covered. Cut up the squares and ask the children to lay the letters in alphabetical order. Activities: Write me the sound that ...teddy... begins with: can the child write the letter straight away without looking? Does the child look for the picture of the teddy? Use to assess. Can you tell me which object begins with the sound ...../h/, for example. The child looks for 'h' and says 'house'. Let the children use their charts as they complete worksheets/write/spell. Who is the phonetic alphabet picture chart for? All ages and abilities special needs children ESL, EFL learners, Who can use the phonetic alphabet picture chart ? I originally made this chart for a special needs kindergarten child with cerebral palsy; although he knew his letters and the associated phonic sounds, his recall was poor - he could know them one minute and they had gone the next. He loves using his chart and has made rapid progress since I made it. It gave him security.

These are reading genre posters covering some common genres encountered by elementary students. Here is a handy Doubling Rule A4-size poster. Do you need a simple way to help pupils know when to double and when not? Either give each table a poster to keep handy while the pupils write, or pin it at strategic points around the classroom for easy reference. Doubling can be made complicated, with more rules added, all of which add extra steps for a child to remember. This makes spelling a nightmare for a child with a processing difficulty. Here at Lilibette's Resources, I like to make reading and spelling as easy as possible, with as few rules as possible, helping the children to internalise the rules without the need to learn them parrot fashion. Here is the doubling rule simply explained with worked examples. The key rule is: We double to keep the vowel short. Many parents struggle with this rule, too! So why not send the poster home with your pupils? Teachers often teach parents unaware!! Reading Made Simple by Lilibette's Resources can help any child who needs a slower pace and is struggling to learn to read and write.
