There are three different fluency practice pages that all focus on learning to recognize, spell and read the target sight word in context. Allowing students to practice the sight word in context allows students to connect the words meaning and grammatical usage to help gain a greater understanding of the target word. Each passage repeats the target word multiple times for repeated practice with the word. Students will practice reading, writing, reading comprehension, and spelling with these fluency pages. This SM fun, Find and Color worksheet for initial blends is excellent for acquainting children orally with initial consonant blends and helping them develop the necessary phonemic awareness in preparation for more advanced blending work, involving four phonemes. What is included in the pack? One PDF sheet for the SM blend. This is a sample of our pack of 20 activities covering common initial blends which can be found here in one PDF file: less clutter on your computer! What do the worksheets involve? Pupils are instructed to combine the two letters on the worksheet and then look for objects that start with that consonant blend. Then, these items ought to be coloured, leaving the others uncoloured. Children can easily work on the sheet unaided once they have been instructed, although, with those children with special needs, it is strongly suggested that an adult works with the child for maximum benefit. How to use The introduction of the concept of initial blends needs to be done thoroughly. When I work with children, especially those with a special need, I first like to teach children to blend two consonant letters. Then I work on developing the children's phonemic awareness: that being the ability to hear two consonant letters blended at the beginning of a word, easily. This is difficult for some pupils and takes a lot of practice. These worksheets can assist by first encouraging students to blend the two consonant letters and then by helping them to hear the blend at the start of a word. As often as you can, practice blending the letters in each initial blend and encourage the students to follow suit. I find that modelling is key at this stage. Who are the initial blends Find and colour worksheets for? Young learners Those with a special need Due to their non-babyish nature , they can be successfully used with older ESL/EFL pupils. Answer keys: The answer key is included on the sheet, in small print.

We are always searching for engaging ways to teach our students new skills and review skills that they already know! This is a 1-page worksheet that will allow students enough practice to sharpen their skills. Students will practice with Multiplication and Associated Division Facts. The objective is for students to be able to understand multiplication facts with fluency and then be able to write two corresponding division facts. This worksheet is most appropriate for 4th grade students. You may have 5th grade students who need the additional practice. An advanced 3rd grade student may also enjoy it as a challenge. This is a 1-page worksheet that is divided into 2 sections. Each section has 3 rows. On the top section, students will complete multiplication facts for x2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10. The first row is complete for students. On the bottom section, students will complete multiplication facts for x7, 8, and 9. For each section, they will fill in the blank for the multiplication problem in the first row. In the following two rows, they will write two different corresponding division facts. You can easily print and laminate these pages, so they retain their durability for repeated use. Students can write answers with a dry erase marker. This will make a great math center or small group activity. This worksheet set is also great as an assessment . Answer key is not included. I hope you enjoy!
