Who Has It? – Chemical Elements Game (1–118) – 3 Levels of Differentiation A cooperative chemistry card game for grades 7–10 to review atomic numbers, element names, and symbols 🧪🎯 This resource is a classroom game that helps students become more confident with the chemical elements – from hydrogen to oganesson. The game follows the well-known “I have… who has?” format and is designed to reinforce students’ understanding of element names, symbols, and atomic numbers in a playful and interactive way. To support different learning levels, the material includes three differentiated versions of the full game, each with 118 element cards: With element names for both question and answer (beginner level) Only the “I have…” part includes the name , the question uses the symbol/number (intermediate level) Without element names – players must match based on symbol and atomic number alone (advanced level) Each version builds on the last and can be used flexibly depending on students' prior knowledge. The game works best with medium to large groups and encourages students to listen carefully, stay engaged, and support one another. What’s included: 3 full card sets (118 cards per set = 354 total) Differentiated by content and level of language support Clear instructions for printing, laminating, and use Ideal for individual, pair, or group work How I use it in class: I’ve played this game both at the end of a chemistry unit and as a fun opener when starting the periodic table. It’s also perfect for substitute lessons or for classes with mixed ability levels. Since each student needs to be ready when their card comes up, it fosters attention and collaboration. This is one of those games where learning happens almost by accident – students are so focused on playing that they internalize atomic numbers and symbols without even noticing. A simple, engaging way to bring structure, repetition, and movement into chemistry class – no extra prep needed. If you're looking for an easy way to help students become more confident with the periodic table, this might be worth trying in your classroom. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? SEL Presentations Boom Deck-Traffic Light Feelings With Audio
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Special Education Needs (SEN), Social Skills, Speech Therapy, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Teacher Tools, Presentations, Activities
In this SEL Boom Deck SEL presentation, there are 24 playing task cards with audio so there is no reading required. There are also 7 informational cards with audio as well. Students will learn about traffic light feelings. There are different intensity levels of feelings and each one is a certain color. For example, red means stop-this is when one is feeling angry, unsafe, really upset or scared. Yellow means slow down; feelings associated with yellow are worried, silly, excited, distracted in class and frustrated. Green means go-the feelings associated with green are happy, calm, proud, and focused. Students will click on either the red, yellow or green light image at the bottom of every page. There is a prompt to have students share what strategies can be used if someone is red or yellow and need to calm down. Some of the examples given in the Boom Deck are; Adam was nervous about the first day of school, Yani was frustrated that his friend was not playing by the rules, Sam knocked down his tower because he was upset about not having more red blocks, Julie was happy it was yoga day in P.E. today, Chase was super scared about the shadow of the cactus, Gigi felt grateful for her birthday present, Evan was super excited it was carnival day at school, Pari was feeling scared about the thunder and lightening, and many more child relatable scenarios. This lesson can be used for preschool, kindergarten, first grade and second grade. This lesson will help students self-regulate by encouraging them to identify and manage those strong feelings many students (and adults) have throughout the day. This Boom Deck is a great extension activity after my other lesson on traffic light feelings here: https://teachsimple.com/product/traffic-light-feelings-lesson-an-sel-self-regulation-tool Please visit Boom Learning for Terms of Use for their decks.

That’s why I created these 60 background cliparts in a fun, blob-inspired style. Learning Numbers with Vikings – Creative Pennant Banner - Bunting
Holiday & Seasonal, Math, Early Math, Counting, Numbers, Montessori, Special Education Needs (SEN), Special Resources, History, Social Studies, Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Teacher Tools, Projects, Templates, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Posters, Bulletin Boards, Banners
Learning Numbers with Vikings – Creative Pennant Chain Creative Pennant Banner - Bunting A playful number line for early math skills with a Viking theme ⚔️🔢 This printable number pennant chain helps students in early grades (K–2 or 1–3) practice counting from 0 to 20 – all within a fun and imaginative Viking setting. Each pennant features a number, a matching number of Viking-themed illustrations, and a rustic wood-frame design that gives the entire chain a cohesive and storybook-like look. What makes this material stand out is the thoughtful visual support: for every number, students see a set of hand-drawn Viking clipart items (e.g., shields, helmets, swords), clearly corresponding to the number shown. This helps learners make the connection between numerals and quantity – an essential early math skill. What’s included: Numbers 0–20 as printable pennants (PDF) Each number illustrated with a matching number of Viking-themed images Two versions: full-color and black-and-white for coloring activities Wooden-look frames and connectors to complete the Viking design Tips for classroom use included Ideas for classroom use: You can hang the pennant chain across the classroom as a number line or let students help assemble it during a math lesson. The black-and-white version works well for individual coloring tasks, giving students ownership over their learning space. Some teachers use it in math centers, others during Viking-themed project weeks. The visual repetition supports number sense and makes abstract numbers feel more concrete. I’ve found that students who usually struggle with counting feel more confident when they can match numbers to something they can see and count. The resource is easy to print and use, and no extra materials are needed beyond scissors and string. Laminating the pennants will help them last across multiple school years. This is more than just a decoration – it’s a tool for early math learning wrapped in a bit of adventure. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Fall I Have, Who Has? Game – Numbers and Number Words 0–30
Holiday & Seasonal, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Math, Early Math, Numbers, Seasons, Fall, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Centers, Read Alouds
Fall I Have, Who Has? Game – Numbers and Number Words 0–30 This autumn version of “I Have, Who Has?” gives students practice with numbers and number words from 0 up to 30 . I like to use it in October, when the seasonal design adds a bit of variety to our math centers. The familiar format makes it easy for students to understand, and the game naturally gets everyone involved. The set includes two complete versions. One uses standard number words, while the other shows the words broken into syllables for students who need extra support with reading. That option has been especially helpful for children who find longer number words like “seventeen” or “twenty-three” difficult to read in one piece. You can decide how many cards to use depending on the group. For beginners, I usually stop at 0–10. As students gain confidence, I extend to 20 and then to 30. This makes the same resource usable across different levels without much extra planning. Playing is straightforward. The student with the start card begins by saying, “I have zero. Who has one?” The next student responds and the chain continues until the last card is read. Because students must listen carefully and wait for their turn, the game encourages attention, listening skills, and turn-taking alongside number practice. I have used this game in whole-class lessons, where everyone sits in a circle and plays together, and in small groups for targeted practice. It also works well for early finishers since once they know the rules, they can play independently. Preparation is simple. Print the cards, cut them apart, and laminate if you plan to reuse them. I store each set in a small envelope labeled with the range (10, 20, 30), so it’s easy to grab the version I need. This activity combines math and literacy practice with teamwork in a way that feels light and seasonal, but the skills—number recognition, word reading, and listening—are useful at any time of year. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Fall Alphabet Memory Game – Uppercase ABC Cards
Holiday & Seasonal, ESL, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Pre-Reading, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Seasons, Fall, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards, Word Problems
Fall Alphabet Memory Game – Uppercase ABC Cards ABC Picture Cards for Letter Recognition and Word Building This fall alphabet memory game is made with uppercase letters only, from A to Z. Each card shows one bold capital letter together with a simple fall picture, such as B with bat or P with pumpkin . I started using it at the beginning of the school year when my kindergarten class was just learning capital letters, and it quickly became a favorite activity. There are six complete decks of 29 cards each. I like having more than one set because I can give different groups their own deck and avoid cards getting mixed together. The most common way we use the cards is as a memory game, where children flip them over and look for pairs. But there are many other options: putting the alphabet in order on the rug, matching letters I call out, or using a single card as a starting point for a quick word game. The focus on uppercase only makes this resource useful for beginners. Students who are still getting comfortable with print can concentrate on learning one letter form at a time. English learners also benefit from the clear images, since they can connect the picture with the letter sound without feeling overwhelmed. Preparation is simple. Print, cut, and, if you want the cards to last, laminate them. I store mine in small envelopes so they are easy to grab during literacy centers, small group rotations, or as an option for early finishers. The autumn theme makes them seasonal, but the skills they reinforce—recognizing uppercase letters, matching letters with sounds, and developing early vocabulary—are important throughout the year. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Phonic Worksheets for Early Years/Intervention - Growing Bundle
Special Resources, ELA, Special Education Needs (SEN), Language Development, Pre-Reading, Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Teacher Tools, Lesson Plans, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Activities, Games
This is a pack of Bumper Pack of 14 (to date) books of phonic worksheets for the digraphs: L blends, CK, SH, CH, TH, OO, EE, OR, AR, A-E, I-E, O-E, U-E, AI and EA especially designed for those with special needs, including those with dyslexia or who may be suspected of being dyslexic but will work equally well with young learners in Kindergarten/EYFS/Y1. These sheets are LETRS and UK GOV requirements aligned. These worksheets also align with the most popular phonic programmes, including RWI and Letters and Sounds. What is included? PDF's of worksheets each covering the sounds: L Blends. CK, SH, CH, TH, OO, EE, OR, AR, A-E, I-E, O-E, U-E, AI and EA, all following my special method devised as I privately tutor children of all ages with profound special needs. Over 180+ Worksheets: Your phonics lessons covered! Tracking, fluency triangles, spelling, reading, games, comprehension exercises....and more! Some sounds contain print-and-go games to make learning fun. AR and A-E each contain a board game. Who are these worksheets for? I have written them for pupils who struggle with processing information - especially sounds. This includes children who are DYSLEXIC or have ANY other kind of processing disorder. Such children may have failed with other methods of teaching phonics. Such pupils need activities that: ·are highly structured - one tiny step at a time building on the one before using only a limited number of words to start with and only using words that the child has already learnt to sound out, with no nasty surprises. ·Have only a little on each pageas these pupils tire easily. What makes these worksheets special? I have a powerful three-step process which I use with my special needs pupils, which is worked out over the course of the 12 worksheets: 1. See it!where we focus on becoming aware of the new sound in words. This involves first hearing the new sound in words and then seeing it in words (tracking). 2. Sound-it-out!Having learnt to see the new sound in words, we learn to sound out these words to read and write them. We begin by usingsound-it-out boxesfor reading and spelling which help the child to segment the word prior to blending the sounds together. Once the child can read and write individual words, we work on fluency by building familiarity with the common words in the new sound family. Once the child can sound the words out to read and spell confidently, we move on to recognising them/using them in longer reading and dictation passages, as soon as the child is able. I provide 2 reading passages with comprehension exercises and one dictation passage, with a page in the workbook dedicated to it, with room for a picture, which again cements understanding. 3. Write it! Incorporated into the above two steps, we constantly write the new sound. This adds a multi-sensory dimension to our work - we see with our eyes, we sound it with our mouth parts and voice, and then we move by writing. All three steps work together to help the child feel in control of his/her learning and to become a successful, confident learner. We finish each sound (except the Consonant L-Blends) with a dictation which culminates our work before we move on to the next sound. I try to give this a week after we finish the book, to act as revision. The dictation: Read this passage to your pupil, who should write it. Have the child read his/her work and check for errors. Make sure the writing is completely accurate before saying the child has finished, including full stops and capital letters correctly used. Flashcards are included in most books. Phonic Games are also included for AR and A-E to make learning more fun! What is included? 10 PDFs totalling 150 + worksheets each covering the sounds: CK, SH, CH, TH, OO, EE, OR, AR, A-E, I-E, O-E, U-E, AI and EA, 2 PDF games for AR and A-E in full colour and black and white

Beginning and Final Blends Flashcards
ELA, Phonics, Language Development, Pre-Reading, Special Education Needs (SEN), Special Resources, Grade 1, Flashcards, Worksheets & Printables, Games, Activities
Beginning and Final Blends Flashcards with pictures A set of beginning and final blends with both letters and matching pictures. This set covers the following beginning blends: sw, sk, st, sp, sl, sn, sm, bl, be, cl, cr, dr, fr, fl, gr, gl, pl, pr, tr, tw And the following final blends: ft, lk, nd , nt, mp, st, lt, sk, nk This set of consonant blends flashcards contains the blends a child will most likely need for their current reading/spelling level, if they are just learning to hear four sounds in a word with a short vowel sound. Once a child meets more advanced vocabulary, the child’s ability to decode will be such that they will no longer need consonant blends flashcards - the skill will be more or less automatic. A child does not need to know every consonant blend by heart. What is needed is the ability to hear the two sounds in a blend to spell and to blend two consonants to read. Phonemic awareness of the blends is a good place to start. How to use the Beginning and Final Blends Flashcards with pictures: ·If you print the letters and their matching pictures back to back, you will have a set of self-correcting cards with which a child can practice reading the consonant blends. ·If you print the letters and pictures separately, then you can let the child match letters to pictures, selecting just as many as the child can cope with, at a given time. For some children, learning the consonant blends is not an easy skill, so it may be advisable, once the child has an idea of what is needed, to move on to the next skill, as there will be plenty of opportunities to practice the blends as the child progresses through a phonic programme.
