Autumn Number Match Game β Spot the Number 0β30 Fall
Holiday & Seasonal, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Math, Early Math, Numbers, Seasons, Fall, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Projects, Flashcards, Centers
Autumn Number Match Game Spot It Style Cards for Numbers 0β30 This autumn number game is built on the idea of the classic βSpot Itβ style, but instead of pictures, the focus here is on numbers. Students practice recognizing numbers from 0 up to 30 while playing against each other in a quick, visual matching activity. I first used it in my math centers in October, when the fall theme felt right, and it has been easy to bring out again each year. The resource includes 93 cards in total. There are three full decks of 31 cards each, and every two cards always share exactly one number in common. The decks come in three shapesβround, square, and hexagonβso you can choose what works best for your classroom. I usually cut one set of square cards for daily use because they are fastest to prepare, and then I keep the round set laminated for special occasions. The rules are simple. Each student gets a card. A card from the pile is placed in the middle, and everyone searches for the one number that appears on both. The first student to spot it calls it out and collects the card. The winner is the one with the most cards at the end. The pace keeps the game lively, and students naturally want to play more than once. What I like about this game is the flexibility. For beginners, I often reduce the range to numbers 0β10 so it feels manageable. Later I expand to 0β20 or the full 0β30. Some groups add their own rules, like playing in teams or keeping tally marks on a score sheet, which gives them extra practice with recording numbers. It works well as a math center, a partner game, or as an activity for early finishers. Because it takes only a few minutes to explain, I sometimes use it at the end of class when we have a little extra time. The autumn design makes it seasonal, but the math practiceβrecognizing and saying numbersβfits into any unit on counting and number sense. Preparation is easy: print the cards, cut them out, and laminate if you want them to last longer. I store mine in small envelopes so they are ready whenever I need them. Fall Alphabet Memory Game β Uppercase ABC Cards
Holiday & Seasonal, ESL, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Pre-Reading, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Seasons, Fall, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards, Word Problems
Fall Alphabet Memory Game β Uppercase ABC Cards ABC Picture Cards for Letter Recognition and Word Building This fall alphabet memory game is made with uppercase letters only, from A to Z. Each card shows one bold capital letter together with a simple fall picture, such as B with bat or P with pumpkin . I started using it at the beginning of the school year when my kindergarten class was just learning capital letters, and it quickly became a favorite activity. There are six complete decks of 29 cards each. I like having more than one set because I can give different groups their own deck and avoid cards getting mixed together. The most common way we use the cards is as a memory game, where children flip them over and look for pairs. But there are many other options: putting the alphabet in order on the rug, matching letters I call out, or using a single card as a starting point for a quick word game. The focus on uppercase only makes this resource useful for beginners. Students who are still getting comfortable with print can concentrate on learning one letter form at a time. English learners also benefit from the clear images, since they can connect the picture with the letter sound without feeling overwhelmed. Preparation is simple. Print, cut, and, if you want the cards to last, laminate them. I store mine in small envelopes so they are easy to grab during literacy centers, small group rotations, or as an option for early finishers. The autumn theme makes them seasonal, but the skills they reinforceβrecognizing uppercase letters, matching letters with sounds, and developing early vocabularyβare important throughout the year. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Fall Alphabet Match Game β Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Center
Holiday & Seasonal, ESL, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Childrenβs Literature, Literature, Seasons, Fall, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards, Word Problems
Fall Alphabet Match Game Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Center Spot It Style Cards for Early Literacy This fall-themed alphabet game is a playful way for students to practice uppercase and lowercase letters. The activity is based on a βfind the matchβ system: each card has exactly one letter in common with another card, and students have to be the first to spot it. I have used this kind of game format with kindergarten and first grade, and it usually gets the whole group involved quickly. The set includes 93 cards in total, divided into three different versions of 31 cards each. There are round cards, hexagons, and squares. I usually prepare the square version when I need something quick to cut, but the round cards feel more like a traditional game and always catch studentsβ attention. The hexagons are a nice option if you want a different look. Each card shows six pictures, with the letters hidden among them, so students have to focus closely to find the match. This type of activity works well for building letter recognition, both uppercase and lowercase. It also helps with visual perception, concentration, and taking turns in a group setting. In my classroom, I sometimes keep the game in a literacy center, and other times I use it as a quick warm-up before a reading lesson. It is flexible enough to use in small groups, partner work, or even as an early finisher option. The set also comes with tally sheets, which give students an extra chance to record their letters and practice writing. Some of my students liked keeping track of their matches this way, which turned the game into a mix of play and writing practice. Preparation is simple: print the cards, cut them apart, and laminate if you want them to last longer. Once made, they store easily in a small envelope or box and can be used again each fall. This resource is designed for kindergarten and the early grades, but older students sometimes enjoy it as a quick challenge too. The fall theme makes it seasonal, without being too spooky, so it works well throughout September, October, and November . Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? In this SEL Boom Deck SEL presentation, there are 24 playing task cards with audio so there is no reading required. There are also 7 informational cards with audio as well. Students will learn about traffic light feelings. There are different intensity levels of feelings and each one is a certain color. For example, red means stop-this is when one is feeling angry, unsafe, really upset or scared. Yellow means slow down; feelings associated with yellow are worried, silly, excited, distracted in class and frustrated. Green means go-the feelings associated with green are happy, calm, proud, and focused. Students will click on either the red, yellow or green light image at the bottom of every page. There is a prompt to have students share what strategies can be used if someone is red or yellow and need to calm down. Some of the examples given in the Boom Deck are; Adam was nervous about the first day of school, Yani was frustrated that his friend was not playing by the rules, Sam knocked down his tower because he was upset about not having more red blocks, Julie was happy it was yoga day in P.E. today, Chase was super scared about the shadow of the cactus, Gigi felt grateful for her birthday present, Evan was super excited it was carnival day at school, Pari was feeling scared about the thunder and lightening, and many more child relatable scenarios. SEL Stress Management Game + Coloring Pages
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Special Education Needs (SEN), Social Skills, Life Skills, Grade 3, 4, 5, 6, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Coloring Pages
In this resource, you will get an engaging game like Apples To Apples. There are 36 strategy cards and 18 situation cards. This is an SEL game. Each person takes a turn with being the judge like Apples to Apples. It is important to make enough sets for the number of groups who will be playing. for example, I recommend at least 3-5 people playing together for each group. So if there are 20 students, then create at least 5 different sets of the cards, Then follow the directions for the game below: First, everyone gets 5 strategy cards. There is no revealing the cards to other players. Then one person is chosen to be the "judge" for the first round. I usually pick the oldest person to make it fair. The judge reveals the card to all and even can read the card out loud. The the other players choose one of their strategy cards to handle that particular situation. Then the judge decides which one they would use. Important; there is not right or wrong here, just what one person would do in that situation. Next the next player goes (usually counter clockwise) to who will be the judge. The person will reveal the situation and the other players will play their strategy card. Play as long as time allows. Next, you can print off the mindfulness coloring sheets for students to color and reinforce the idea or coloring mindfully when they are upset, frustrate, need some time alone, etc. There is a way to change the word and position of the word in the mindfulness coloring sheet. These are SEL coloring pages. Find the Match β Chemistry Elements Matching Game A fast-paced visual review of atomic numbers and chemical symbols β inspired by the Spot It!β’ game concept π§ͺπ§ This printable chemistry card game offers a playful and challenging way for students to review the chemical elements. Designed to support symbol recognition, visual attention, and focus, itβs ideal for middle and high school science classes. Inspired by the Spot It!β’ game concept (matching symbols) , the game is based on a simple idea: any two cards share exactly one matching chemical symbol β and players race to find it. Each card shows six element symbols (without names), so the game is especially suitable for students who already know the basics and want to strengthen their fluency. Whatβs included: 93 total cards (3 versions with 31 cards each) Card shapes: round, square (cut-friendly), and hexagonal Elements included: main group elements up to Period 5 + Cs Symbols and atomic numbers only β no element names Hand-drawn visuals created specifically for this resource Instructions included (PDF for print and laminate) How to use in class: This game works well as a review activity, brain break, or warm-up. Iβve used it at the end of a unit on the periodic table or to reinforce visual recall before a quiz. It can be played in pairs, small groups, or even as a whole-class team competition. To support deeper learning, you can also add color-coding tasks β for example, have students group elements by family or period after each round. The game naturally encourages cooperation, observation, and concentration. Because itβs printable and easy to prep, itβs also well-suited for substitute lessons or station work. Students enjoy the fast pace and competition β and they often donβt realize how much theyβre reviewing in the process. A simple and flexible way to bring variety and engagement into chemistry class. π° Print it, play it, and bring science to life! π Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Final or Ending Sounds Phonic Game Phonemic Awareness Activity
Special Resources, ELA, Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech Therapy, Language Development, Phonics, Spelling, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, Activities, Games
Final or Ending Sounds Phonic Game Phonemic Awareness Activity A fun pack of two games to help children develop the important phonic skill of hearing the final (or ending) sound of a word. It covers the final sounds: t, d, k, g, p, b, m, s, n. Choose from: Build A Castle or Win the Race. The games are the same whichever you choose and use the same picture cards, but the choice of the game board means that children will not get bored playing the game again and again, plus the fact that you can increase the fun level to keep the children playing! (see below). Objectives This game pack has been designed to give children practice hearing the final sound of a word, something many children struggle with, especially those with a speech delay. It is hoped that, as the child has fun playing the game that the child's phonemic awareness can be developed. The game can also be used within speech therapy to help children distinguish between sounds which are produced in a like manner: k/g; p/b; t/d. Many children have difficulty with sounds that are produced using the same part of the mouth/voice/tongue. If this is true of your pupil, then I suggest that you start by playing the game with two sounds which are not at all similar. Once the child can confidently hear the final sound of a word, then the game can be played with sounds which are similar to help the childβs speech development and the ability to carefully discriminate between like sounds. Grade/ages These games are suitable for children of any age who need to learn to hear the final sound of a word. Games make learning easy, and children learn without knowing they are! Pre-K to teens with special needs will all love these games . The fact that the games allow for an increased challenge level is an added factor, making them games that children and young people will want to play again and againβall good practice for securing the skill of hearing that final sound! How many players? It is suggested that at first, each child plays alone with an adult until they hear the final sound. Then, up to 4 children can be invited to play together. Simply print out the number of game boards you need. Increase the fun level! Begin by playing the game simply. Once the child gains confidence and you wish to play again with sounds that are produced in a similar way or to give further practice, then add in some fun. Flag or wheel cards can be scattered amongst the pictures, and the teacher can choose what these mean - either extra turns or 'miss a go'. I made this game for a ten-year-old reluctant pupil. It worked, and now he can hear the final sound! Win Win!! What is included? 1 PDF File 2 versions of a game 63 picture cards Full instructions Picture Key

Who Has It? β Main Group Elements Game (6 Levels of Differentiation) A chemistry card game to review the main group elements in a structured and playful way (Grades 7β10) π§ͺπ― This classroom game is based on the βI haveβ¦ who has?β format and helps students review the main group elements of the periodic table. It focuses on atomic numbers, element symbols, and β depending on the level β the correct element names. The game format encourages full-class participation, supports recall through repetition, and helps even quieter students get involved in a low-pressure way. The special feature: six levels of differentiation , so you can tailor the material to your studentsβ abilities. Whether you teach a mixed-level group or want to build in progression over time, these sets offer plenty of flexibility. Whatβs included: 3 card sets Γ 2 difficulty paths = 6 levels total Each set contains 52 cards (156 cards total) Elements included: all main group elements up to element 118 Levels range from fully labeled to no element names at all Clear instructions for printing, cutting, and gameplay Differentiation overview: Levels 1 & 2: All names included Levels 3 & 4: Only βI haveβ part includes names Levels 5 & 6: No names β only symbols and atomic numbers How to use in class: In my own lessons, Iβve used this as a review after teaching atomic structure or periodic trends. It works well as a class opener, during stations, or even in a substitute lesson. The A/B sets are helpful when students sit close together β it prevents copying but keeps everyone working on the same task. Students enjoy the rhythm of the game, and because every card depends on the one before, they naturally stay attentive. Itβs a great way to combine repetition with interaction. Low-prep, flexible, and genuinely useful for learning chemical elements in a collaborative setting. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? SEL Boom Deck-Grateful or Disappointed? With Audio Plus Handout!
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Social Skills, Special Education Needs (SEN), Elementary, Middle School, Activities, Worksheets & Printables
In this resource, students will learn the differences between feeling grateful and disappointed. These two feelings are essentially opposite one another. The 28 slide Boom Deck has 3 educational/introduction cards and 25 task playing cards. There is audio on each card so no reading is required. This can be done as a whole class group whereas each student can take a turn coming up to a interactive board and deciding which situation is being presented. Then the directions for the deck ask students to think of things the person in the situation could be grateful for in a disappointing situation. There are many examples of disappointing situations such as; not being able to play a volleyball game because a coach is out of town, not being able to have outdoor recess, a volcano not erupting, having to do homework instead of play with friends, a dog ruining a pair of shoes, a teacher asking a student to rewrite a paragraph, a special art class is being canceled, and not getting to go on a roller coaster at an amusement park, among others. There is a handout to print off for each student and have them reflect on a time they were disappointed and now looking back, what were they grateful for in that situation. This is a great Boom Deck to do during Thanksgiving but also throughout the entire year. This is great for grades two, three, four, five, and six. This will create some good conversations with students on looking for those grateful moments. Please review the Boom Deck terms of use and the ability to get a free trial. The explanation is on their website and I cannot insert it here due to the AI system recognizing it as duplicate information. SEL Boom Deck-Soda Pop Head With Audio
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Social Skills, Special Education Needs (SEN), Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Activities
This is an SEL Boom Deck to teach students how to manage anger in a healthy way. This is a companion Boom Deck based on Julia Cook's book, Soda Pop Head. However, you do not need to read the book in order to enjoy this Boom Deck. Students will still learn some great self-regulation skills. There are 25 task cards and 5 introduction/education cards. There is audio on every single card so there is no need for reading skills. The analogy used in this deck is a soda can that explodes when anger is not handled in a healthy way. The other soda can is pointing to a light bulb to respresent thinking of a strategy to calm down. This is a child friendly image that kids can relate to. There are enough task cards to use as a whole SEL class lesson. You can also use this Boom Deck by assigning to individuals, partners and groups. Some of the strategies mentioned in this deck are; belly breathing, blowing bubbles, talking to a friend, asking for help from an adult, taking a break, walking and counting, drinking a cool glass of water, reading, using a thinking strategy and more. some of the scenarios that cause a child to be angry are; having to go to bed, fun plans get canceled, getting teased, not being able to pick out the restaurant for dinner, someone took something and is not giving it back, someone lost a special toy, and other child relatable scenarios. Please review Boom Deck's terms of use as this format does not allow me to post this. To access the Boom deck, you will download the PDF that has the Boom Deck link embedded in the image on the PDF. From there you will be directed to this Boom Deck. Enjoy!! For a related resource, check out: https://teachsimple.com/product/soda-pop-head-by-julia-cook-extension-sel-lesson-and-worksheet
