Who Has It? β Main Group Elements Game (6 Levels of Differentiation) A chemistry card game to review the main group elements in a structured and playful way (Grades 7β10) π§ͺπ― This classroom game is based on the βI haveβ¦ who has?β format and helps students review the main group elements of the periodic table. It focuses on atomic numbers, element symbols, and β depending on the level β the correct element names. The game format encourages full-class participation, supports recall through repetition, and helps even quieter students get involved in a low-pressure way. The special feature: six levels of differentiation , so you can tailor the material to your studentsβ abilities. Whether you teach a mixed-level group or want to build in progression over time, these sets offer plenty of flexibility. Whatβs included: 3 card sets Γ 2 difficulty paths = 6 levels total Each set contains 52 cards (156 cards total) Elements included: all main group elements up to element 118 Levels range from fully labeled to no element names at all Clear instructions for printing, cutting, and gameplay Differentiation overview: Levels 1 & 2: All names included Levels 3 & 4: Only βI haveβ part includes names Levels 5 & 6: No names β only symbols and atomic numbers How to use in class: In my own lessons, Iβve used this as a review after teaching atomic structure or periodic trends. It works well as a class opener, during stations, or even in a substitute lesson. The A/B sets are helpful when students sit close together β it prevents copying but keeps everyone working on the same task. Students enjoy the rhythm of the game, and because every card depends on the one before, they naturally stay attentive. Itβs a great way to combine repetition with interaction. Low-prep, flexible, and genuinely useful for learning chemical elements in a collaborative setting. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Fall I Have, Who Has? Game β Numbers and Number Words 0β30
Holiday & Seasonal, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Math, Early Math, Numbers, Seasons, Fall, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Centers, Read Alouds
Fall I Have, Who Has? Game β Numbers and Number Words 0β30 This autumn version of βI Have, Who Has?β gives students practice with numbers and number words from 0 up to 30 . I like to use it in October, when the seasonal design adds a bit of variety to our math centers. The familiar format makes it easy for students to understand, and the game naturally gets everyone involved. The set includes two complete versions. One uses standard number words, while the other shows the words broken into syllables for students who need extra support with reading. That option has been especially helpful for children who find longer number words like βseventeenβ or βtwenty-threeβ difficult to read in one piece. You can decide how many cards to use depending on the group. For beginners, I usually stop at 0β10. As students gain confidence, I extend to 20 and then to 30. This makes the same resource usable across different levels without much extra planning. Playing is straightforward. The student with the start card begins by saying, βI have zero. Who has one?β The next student responds and the chain continues until the last card is read. Because students must listen carefully and wait for their turn, the game encourages attention, listening skills, and turn-taking alongside number practice. I have used this game in whole-class lessons, where everyone sits in a circle and plays together, and in small groups for targeted practice. It also works well for early finishers since once they know the rules, they can play independently. Preparation is simple. Print the cards, cut them apart, and laminate if you plan to reuse them. I store each set in a small envelope labeled with the range (10, 20, 30), so itβs easy to grab the version I need. This activity combines math and literacy practice with teamwork in a way that feels light and seasonal, but the skillsβnumber recognition, word reading, and listeningβare useful at any time of year. Exploring Amazing Jobs - Adaptive interactive book
Career, Life Studies, Special Education Needs (SEN), Special Resources, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Read Alouds, Activities
Exploring Amazing Jobs Interactive Flip Book introduces young learners to eight careers in a hands-on way. With real like illustrations and interactive story elements, children get to explore the tools and roles that make each profession uniqueβwhether it's the firefighter's hose, the doctor's stethoscope, the builder's hammer, or the chef's whisk. This book hopes to spark curiosity for the many different jobs that help our world work together. Learners will match picture cards to the key tools of each job. For example, when learning about a builder, they'll match the hammer card; when meeting a chef, they'll find the whisk; and when exploring an astronaut, they'll select the telescope. Other tools, such as a watering can, paintbrush, and book, encourage children to connect various professions with the equipment used in those roles. Early learning about different jobs is essential because it helps to understand the diversity of roles that contribute to society. It also introduces the idea that every job, no matter how different, is valuable. This activity book is specifically designed for early elementary students and special education learners. It promotes active participation, improves comprehension skills, and enhances their understanding of the tools and tasks associated with various professions. The simple and clean illustrations help children focus on details while engaging in the matching activities. Printing and Assembly Instructions Print the document in landscape orientation. Page 1 of the PDF provides a visual guide for the activity, while the interactive story begins on Page 2 of the download. Assembling the activity book is an easy project that results in a personalized educational tool for your students. Follow these steps to create your activity book: Download and print all pages of the activity book. Do not cut the first two pages of the document. Page 1 is a visual guide for the activity, and Page 2 is the title page of the book. These should be laminated along with the rest of the pages. Laminate all pages of the activity book to make them durable and long-lasting. You can use a laminating machine or visit a local print shop for lamination. Cut out all pages along the dotted lines, but be careful not to cut the front and back pages of the book. Cut out all individual squares and attach velcro to the areas where symbols for velcro are indicated. This will allow kids to stick and remove the squares from the book. Once all squares have velcro attached, assemble the activity book by coil binding it or hole-punching the pages and placing them in a binder. Enjoy! IFIO Girl I'll Figure It Out

SEL Presentations Boom Deck-Traffic Light Feelings With Audio
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Special Education Needs (SEN), Social Skills, Speech Therapy, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Teacher Tools, Presentations, Activities
In this SEL Boom Deck SEL presentation, there are 24 playing task cards with audio so there is no reading required. There are also 7 informational cards with audio as well. Students will learn about traffic light feelings. There are different intensity levels of feelings and each one is a certain color. For example, red means stop-this is when one is feeling angry, unsafe, really upset or scared. Yellow means slow down; feelings associated with yellow are worried, silly, excited, distracted in class and frustrated. Green means go-the feelings associated with green are happy, calm, proud, and focused. Students will click on either the red, yellow or green light image at the bottom of every page. There is a prompt to have students share what strategies can be used if someone is red or yellow and need to calm down. Some of the examples given in the Boom Deck are; Adam was nervous about the first day of school, Yani was frustrated that his friend was not playing by the rules, Sam knocked down his tower because he was upset about not having more red blocks, Julie was happy it was yoga day in P.E. today, Chase was super scared about the shadow of the cactus, Gigi felt grateful for her birthday present, Evan was super excited it was carnival day at school, Pari was feeling scared about the thunder and lightening, and many more child relatable scenarios. This lesson can be used for preschool, kindergarten, first grade and second grade. This lesson will help students self-regulate by encouraging them to identify and manage those strong feelings many students (and adults) have throughout the day. This Boom Deck is a great extension activity after my other lesson on traffic light feelings here: https://teachsimple.com/product/traffic-light-feelings-lesson-an-sel-self-regulation-tool Please visit Boom Learning for Terms of Use for their decks.

Fall Alphabet Memory Game β Uppercase ABC Cards

Fall Alphabet Memory Game β Uppercase ABC Cards ABC Picture Cards for Letter Recognition and Word Building This fall alphabet memory game is made with uppercase letters only, from A to Z. Each card shows one bold capital letter together with a simple fall picture, such as B with bat or P with pumpkin . I started using it at the beginning of the school year when my kindergarten class was just learning capital letters, and it quickly became a favorite activity. There are six complete decks of 29 cards each. I like having more than one set because I can give different groups their own deck and avoid cards getting mixed together. The most common way we use the cards is as a memory game, where children flip them over and look for pairs. But there are many other options: putting the alphabet in order on the rug, matching letters I call out, or using a single card as a starting point for a quick word game. The focus on uppercase only makes this resource useful for beginners. Students who are still getting comfortable with print can concentrate on learning one letter form at a time. English learners also benefit from the clear images, since they can connect the picture with the letter sound without feeling overwhelmed. Preparation is simple. Print, cut, and, if you want the cards to last, laminate them. I store mine in small envelopes so they are easy to grab during literacy centers, small group rotations, or as an option for early finishers. The autumn theme makes them seasonal, but the skills they reinforceβrecognizing uppercase letters, matching letters with sounds, and developing early vocabularyβare important throughout the year. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

ABC Game β Match the Letters with a Soccer Twist | Elementary & ESL Similar to Dobble / Spot it! A playful alphabet recognition game for preschool and early elementary (Pre-K to 3st grade) β½π€ This classroom game helps children explore and recognize the letters of the alphabet through play. Based on the well-known βFind the Twinβ format (similar to Dobble or Spot It!), this resource invites learners to engage visually and socially while building basic literacy skills. Each card shows six symbols or letters. The goal: find the matching symbol between two cards β as fast as you can! The game can be played in pairs or small groups and is great for active classroom moments, literacy stations, or early finisher time. What Iβve enjoyed about this kind of activity in my own teaching is that it doesnβt require much prep, but it sparks a lot of focus and excitement. Itβs also easy to adapt β whether you want to emphasize letter names, sounds, or visual scanning. Whatβs included: 62 cards total β 2 versions with 31 cards each β Round cards β Cut-out-friendly square cards Each card includes 6 images Clear visuals and simple layout for young learners Instructions included Ideas for classroom use: You can print the cards on regular paper or cardstock. Laminate them for durability if you plan to use them often. Iβve used these games during phonics lessons, as part of morning rotations, or as a βquiet movementβ activity when students needed a break from sitting. The structure helps students work on focus, comparison, and visual discrimination β all useful skills for early reading development. At the same time, they practice taking turns and cooperating, which supports classroom community. Simple, flexible, and always well received β this game adds a playful twist to everyday alphabet learning. A low-prep, high-impact way to make learning the alphabet more interactive β and fun. Fall Domino Game β Numbers and Number Words 0β30
Holiday & Seasonal, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Math, Early Math, Numbers, Seasons, Fall, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards, Centers
Fall Domino Game Numbers 0β30 and Number Words This autumn domino game is a hands-on way for students to practice both numbers and number words from 0 to 30. I introduced it during the fall term with my grade 1 class, and the students immediately understood the rules because it follows the familiar domino format. The seasonal design added a nice touch, but the main benefit was the repeated practice with connecting numbers and words. The set includes 68 cards in total, with two different versions. One version shows the standard number words, while the second version breaks the words into syllables. I noticed that the syllable version was especially helpful for younger readers or for students who still found longer number words challenging. Words such as βseventeenβ or βtwenty-fourβ became easier to read and pronounce when broken down into smaller parts. The game can be adjusted by number range, which makes it easy to differentiate. With beginners, I often start with 0β10 so that the game feels manageable. Later I expand the set to 0β20, and eventually the full 0β30 for more advanced groups. Because of this flexibility, the same set can be reused throughout the year with different levels of learners. There are several ways to play. In small groups, students take turns matching numbers with the correct number words, trying to be the first to play all their cards. In a whole-class setting, I sometimes spread the cards across the floor and let students work together to build one long domino chain. This version turns the game into a collaborative activity and gets everyone moving while still practicing number recognition. Preparation is simple. Print the cards, cut them apart, and laminate them if you want to reuse the set in future years. I keep mine in small envelopes labeled with 0β10, 0β20, and 0β30 so I can quickly pull the right range for each group. The activity works well in math centers, small group rotations, or even as a fun review during October. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? Therapy Dog - Helping Students Reflect with Therapy Dogs πΆπ

Helping Students Reflect with Therapy Dogs πΆπ Thereβs something special about the presence of a therapy dog in the classroom. Even the most restless students seem to relax. Some kids who rarely speak up suddenly open up. And for many, itβs the first time theyβve had a chance to experience the unconditional support that a dog offers. But what if we took that experience and turned it into a learning moment? Thatβs exactly what this reflection activity does. It helps students think about what kindness means, why responsibility matters, and how their actions affect othersβwhether those others have two legs or four. Why This Activity Feels Different β It gets students thinking, not just answering. Itβs not about memorizing facts. Itβs about pausing for a moment and reflecting on simple but meaningful questions. β It connects emotions with actions. Why do therapy dogs have rules? Why does kindness matter? These questions lead to unexpectedly deep discussions. β Itβs easy for any grade level. Younger kids can draw their answers, while older students might write or discuss. No one feels left out. β It works with or without a therapy dog. Even if your school doesnβt have one, this still sparks conversations about empathy and responsibility. β No prep required. Just print it out, hand it to students, and let them think. How I Use It in My Classroom π First, we talk. I ask, βHow do animals teach us about kindness?β or βWhat do therapy dogs need from us?β The answers are never what I expectβand thatβs the best part. π Then, students reflect. They complete a few simple but thoughtful prompts about their own behavior, their emotions, and what theyβve learned. π Next, we share (if they want to). I never make sharing mandatory. But Iβm always surprised by how many students want to. π Finally, we put up the poster. Itβs a small reminder that kindness and responsibility go beyond the classroom. πΆ One more idea: If you have a therapy dog visit your class, have students read their reflections to the dog. Youβd be amazed at how much more open and engaged they become! What Other Teachers Have Said β βI used this before our first therapy dog visit, and it made a huge difference in how students behaved around the dog.β β βItβs simple but powerful. The class discussions that came from this were amazing.β β βPerfect for social-emotional learning, even without a therapy dog!β Why This Activity Sticks with Students At the end of the day, this isnβt just another worksheet. Itβs a way to help students slow down, think about their actions, and reflect on what really mattersβwhether thatβs how they interact with a therapy dog, a classmate, or the world around them. π₯ Give it a tryβyou might be surprised by what your students come up with. πΆβ¨ π Warmly, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Changing Negative Self-Talk Into Positive Self-Talk SEL Presentation
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Social Skills, Special Education Needs (SEN), Elementary, Middle School, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Coloring Pages, Worksheets
In this Google Slide SEL presentation, students will learn how to change their negative thoughts into positive ones. There is a quote at the beginning of the slide show that says "Watch what you tell yourself, you're likely to believe it." by Russ Kyle. The students can share what they think this quote means to them. Then there is an educational slide on the value of changing their negative thoughts into positive ones. Then the students will have 12 slides to practice changing negative thoughts into realistic and positive ones. They can do this as a turn and talk with a partner, whole group instruction, or in their table groups. You can decide the best approach for your students. After they practice 12 different thoughts, the students will participate in an elimination game using a playing deck of cards. You will randomly pull a red or black card and students need to declare which one they think you will pull before you pull it. There are directions on the slide notes. The goal is for them to say out loud to the person next to them about which one they guess is going to get pulled for their own accountability. Ask students to pay attention to their own self-talk during this game. This game is based on luck only. You can play the game as many times as you want as time allows. Lastly, the students will get to color a mindfulness coloring sheet of a brain with their own name on it. You can make as many handouts as you have students in your class. Simply double click on the name and change it to the names of students in your class and press enter. Print off as many copies as you need. Developed with the principles of neuroscience, psychology, and the Seasonal Cyclicality Model (SCM), this social and emotional learning program for kids takes students on a series of fun, gamified, and micro-level missions aligned with Autumn (self-awareness), Winter (social observation), Spring (social skills), and Summer (responsible decision-making). This social and emotional learning program for kids, tweens, and pre-teens is perfect for parents, teachers, and counselors who want to develop the cognitive empathy, emotional intelligence, and growth mindset of middle school students. A must-have for middle school emotional intelligence development, bullying prevention, and classroom community building. Instant download. Keywords: SEL curriculum for 4th to 7th grade, empathy workbook for middle school, social and emotional learning activities, tween emotional intelligence development, neuroscience-based SEL program. Why Parents/Schools Love It: Neuroscience-Based: Fuses the power of brain science with the ease of using Micro-Missions to develop empathy as a "muscle" that grows with repetition, creating a lifelong tool for children without overwhelming them. Seasonal Format: Utilizes the power of seasonal themes and activities to eliminate social anxiety issues with a "game" approach to SEL that integrates easily into the school year or home schedule. Proven Results through Real-Life Case Studies: Includes real-life examples of how children move from isolation to connection, giving parents and educators the power to see the impact on children's social skills and decisions. Target Classes/Students : After a thorough analysis of the entire content presented in the PDF, from the introduction to the chapters, case studies, worksheets, and teacher resources, the content is clearly targeted at students from grade 4 through grade 7 (approximately 9-13 years old). This is consistent with the "middle years" concept presented throughout the content, which covers neurological developments such as prefrontal cortex restructuring, synaptic pruning, and the progression from Erik Erikson's Industry vs. Inferiority stage to the Identity vs. Role Confusion stage. For example, grade 4 community projects, grade 5 integrations into the classroom, grade 6 self-awareness interventions, and grade 7 conflict resolutions. The content is applicable for homeschoolers, classrooms in public/private schools, after-school programs, and counseling sessions for the target age group, with modifications for neurodiverse students with ASD or NVLD.
