GHS Pictogram Cliparts Glitter Design for Chemistry Classrooms, Crafts and Materials PNG If you’ve ever found the standard GHS (Globally Harmonized System) pictograms a bit too plain or uninspiring for your teaching materials, you’re not alone. That’s exactly why I decided to redesign them with a fresh twist. These 18 cliparts—9 in portrait and 9 in landscape format—combine the clarity of the official hazard symbols with a visually striking glitter effect. The colors remain true to the original system (red border, black symbol), but the glitter gives them a unique and eye-catching feel. I created each of these cliparts by hand in Procreate, with the classroom in mind. They’re still clearly recognizable as hazard pictograms, but they add a touch of design that fits beautifully into worksheets, posters, or digital resources. Ways you might use these in your classroom or materials: – Labeling chemical containers in a more engaging way – Gluing into student chemistry notebooks to support safety topics – Decorating posters or bulletin boards about lab safety rules – Enhancing worksheets or lab instructions visually – Adding to PowerPoint, Keynote, or Genially presentations – Integrating into digital learning platforms or safety training resources – Using them in flashcards for visual reinforcement Since you’ll receive both portrait and landscape versions (in PNG format with transparent backgrounds), you can easily adjust them to your layout or format. Chemical Elements – Matching Pairs Game & Flashcards (1–118) 118 cards for learning the periodic table A visual and interactive way to explore the periodic table 🧪🧠 This printable card set includes all 118 chemical elements and can be used either as a classic memory game or as flashcards for independent practice. Each card features the element’s symbol, atomic number, and name – providing a clear and accessible entry point into the world of chemistry. The cards are designed to be used flexibly. You can print them twice to play Matching Pairs (also known as Memory®), where students turn over cards and try to find identical pairs. This helps improve concentration and recall while reinforcing students’ familiarity with element symbols and atomic numbers. What’s included: 118 cards (PDF format) – one for each chemical element Each card includes: element symbol, name, and atomic number Use them as a memory game (print twice) or flashcards for review Black-and-white format allows for optional color coding (e.g. element groups or states of matter) In my classroom: I’ve used this resource with grades 7–10, both during our unit on the periodic table and as a review activity. Some groups like to sort the cards by group or period before playing. Others enjoy using them competitively, seeing who can name the most elements based on symbol alone. There’s also room for differentiation: stronger students can work without a periodic table for support, while others use it alongside. The black-and-white version is copy-friendly and works well if you want students to color-code elements (e.g. metals vs. non-metals). You can also adapt the game for faster learners by having them group elements or research additional properties. This is a low-prep activity you can use again and again – whether as a center activity, partner task, or quick review before a test. Multiplication Facts: Number Sense Posters: How many ways can you represent a value? o This open-ended activity is a great way for students to stretch their thinking, develop number sense, connect the math concepts they have recently learned, and strengthen their multiplication facts. o It is easily differentiated: assign simpler values (12, 20) to students with emerging understanding and more difficult values (56, 80, 144) to students who need a challenge. o The completed posters make a fabulous art walk, a bright bulletin board display, or a meaningful piece for student portfolios/parent conferences. o This product includes a sample poster that you can show your students step-by-step and 20 different posters for you to print for your students. How to Use: Show your students the instructions: Each of you will be assigned a number. This lesson is a fun way to teach your students about different political systems around the world throughout history and in modern times. Students can work independently or in small groups to research four different kinds of political leadership: dictatorship, monarchy, theocracy, and democracy. They need to complete independent research to find information about the following topics: Rise to power: How does this type of leader get chosen (are there fair elections, do they take power by force, or are they chosen at birth, etc.)? Actions: What does this type of leader do when in power (do they make laws, use censorship, create propaganda, make trade deals with other countries, provide spiritual guidance, listen to their constituents, etc.)? Known associates: Who does this type of leader work with (do they collaborate with members of parliament, advisors, nobles, priests, their relatives, etc.) or do they work alone? Ancient examples: What ancient civilizations had this type of leader? What was the leader’s name and what did they do? Current examples: What current countries have this type of leader? What is the leader’s name and what do they do? Pros: What is good about having this kind of leader? Cons: What is bad about having this kind of leader? They will present their information on a Wanted Poster to add a bit of humour and fun to the lesson. These posters are designed to be printed on 11x17 paper and can be hung around your classroom! Groups can present to the rest of the class, so every student learns about each kind of political system.
