Setting the foundation for reading is a major feat for teachers because we strive to make all of our students feel successful. There are many moving pieces to this new skill for young learners. Learning letter sounds is one of the many necessary components. Another skill that we tackle is identifying and applying beginning letter sounds. That is the objective of this product. This is a Learning Beginning Letter Sounds Worksheet packed with 10 pages of practice for students. From page to page, students will be prompted with the question: What starts with the letter ___? There will be 26 problems, one for each letter of the alphabet. There are 8 options for students to choose from for each problem. This worksheet is most appropriate for students being introduced to or reviewing beginning letter sounds: preschool – 1st grade students. You can implement this activity in a few ways: 1. These train themed number cards are perfect for students who are learning with a transportation theme. They make the perfect tool for students to learn numbers up to 20. What is Included: This set includes one number card and one number word card for all numbers up to 20. Ideas for Using the Number Cards: Invite students to play a matching activity by pairing each number with its corresponding number word. Turn the cards into a hands on fishing game by attaching paper clips and using a magnetic fishing rod for students to “catch” the numbers. Place the cards in a sand or salt tray so students can trace or write the numbers and number words for tactile practice. Hide the cards around the classroom and have students go on a number scavenger hunt to find and identify each one. Challenge students to arrange the cards in correct numerical order, working independently or as a group.
