This worksheet is for 8th grade math course 8.F.B.4. There are two types of tasks: Constructing functions from graphs and constructing functions from tables. We are always looking for the form y=mx+b. This worksheet is a printable pdf that includes answers. This worksheet doesn’t represent any new skills to the students, at this point they should be able to construct functions from graphs and tables. However, the skill of constructing functions from tables may need some more practice at this point of their 8th grade math studies. The tasks with graphs are not too hard; some of them have fractions as rate of change, but the grid is placed so that you should be able to find exact values for the rate of change.The graphs have different grids to make the students pay careful attention. As for tasks with tables, students need to find the rate of change and the initial value (y-intercept) from the tables that represent real life situations. They usually also have to do some calculations before the can construct a function. Some examples of real life situations are: prices that include pay per unit and a delivery fee or dose of a medicine. This resource has 7 task pages and 1 answer page

The Word Starts With... Worksheet

Setting the foundation for reading is a major feat for teachers because we strive to make all of our students feel successful. There are many moving pieces to this new skill for young learners. Learning letter sounds is one of the many necessary components. Another skill that we tackle is students being able to view an image and determine what sound that image begins or ends with. That is the objective of this product. On the first two pages of The Word Starts With…, students will look at the image and determine whether it starts with the letter on the left or right. On the last two pages, students will determine whether the name of the image ends with the letter on the left or right. There are 60 problems for students to complete – 30 for beginning sounds and 30 for ending sounds. This worksheet is most appropriate for students being introduced to or reviewing sounds: preschool – 1st grade students. You can implement this activity in a few ways: 1. Independent work 2. Early finishers 3. Small group 4. Literacy centers If you want them to use these over and over again, you can laminate each page and have students use dry erase markers. I hope you enjoy! Then, test their sight word knowledge by opening up the digital fill in the blanks exercise. It works in the same way. Look at each question and press the right arrow key to reveal the answer. Do this for the entire quiz. Again, students can do this by themselves as well. If you would prefer to do this test on paper, no problem! There is a printable version as well, that comes with an answer key. Finally, there are two vocabulary lists, one in order of frequency and the other in alphabetical order. Let's do this!

If you want to give students extra practice with place value, I have just the resource for you. What You Get: This is aRounding to the Nearest 10 Worksheetthat was designed for 2nd grade students who are working on or have mastered this skill. It also works well as a review for students. It is a 2-page printable. Each page has a combination of 2-digit and 3-digit numbers. This provides an increase in complexity and differentiation for students. How To Implement This Resource: You can print off enough copies of this worksheet for each student to have. You may also choose to print only a few copies and laminate those. If you choose to laminate them, students can use dry erase markers to write answers. This is a great way to turn this into a math center or small group activity. Students will begin with practice for rounding to the nearest 10 and will move to rounding to the nearest 10 with 3-digit numbers. This is great for an independent assignment or homework. It also works well as a math quiz or assessment that could be scored for a grade. If you choose to have students complete it independently, allowing them to work with a partner or in small groups is also a great idea. An answer key is included. I hope you enjoy! These simple alphabet worksheets allow students to practice writing entire words that use the letter they are learning. There is one worksheet per letter of the alphabet. I love how these worksheets allow each students to open up and get so creative! I love peeking inside their little minds! How to Use This: When you're teaching a new letter, these worksheets can make that letter more personalized. Help each student brainstorm a word that they like that starts with that letter. Have them draw a picture of the word in the box and then write the word or a sentence with the word below it in the guided reading lines. These worksheets are great independent work, center fillers, homework, or just additions to your letter lessons. They would also be fun to display on a bulletin board or in the hallway. If you are using a letter of the week type of approach, these worksheets would fit right in!
