Math Worksheet for Addition and Subtraction
Math, Addition and Subtraction, Addition, Subtraction, Grade 2, 3, 4, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets
This worksheet is a good practice for addition and subtraction. There are 16 problems for students to complete. Eight problems are addition, with three and four digit numbers. There are also eight problems for subtraction. These problems have three and four digits. There are a few problems where students will need to understand how to subtract with a 0 in the top number. This is usually a 3rd grade concept, but you could use it as a teachable moment with 2nd graders as well. There is a second part to this worksheet to help add depth. After students have completed all of the problems, they need to look at the digit in the tens place. If the digit in the tens place is even, students will circle their answer. If the digit in the tens place is odd, students will underline their answer. This product can be used a few different ways. You could use it as a guided practice worksheet in your lesson. You could do some problems together and have students finish on their own. It can be review for students who have been taught all of the concepts. It could also be a good assessment. For fourth graders you could even use it as a beginning of school assessment to make sure students are understanding basic math skills before you jump into harder math.
