AGE Words Fluency Practice

Kindergartners and first graders will get a ton of practice reading AGE words with these fluency activities. All target words follow the magic e or silent e phonics rule. Students wil practice reading these CVCe words in isolation as well as in context of a simple sentence or passage. What is Included: Word Fluency Strips - These three strips only contain AGE words in isolation. Students will practice reading the words on the strips until words are mastered. Sentence Strips - The sentence strips contain AGE words in the context of simple sentences. Sentence Fluency Worksheet - Students will read the simple sentences then pick one sentence to illustrate in the box at the bottom of the worksheet. Reading Comprehension Passage - Students will read the story containing AGE words three times then answer two comprehension questions and draw a picture to illustrate the story. Sentence Pyramids - There are eight sentence pyramids where students will read each sentence, adding a new word on each line. How to Use: These activities word very well in a reading or phonics center for students to work on independently or with a partner. They make great small group activities. Teachers can pull aside small groups of students who need extra practice reading AGE words with fluency. The sentence fluency worksheets and reading comprehension page can be utilized as homework to send home for students to complete. Skills Assessed: These fluency worksheets and activities assess students' ability to read AGE words in isolation or in the context of sentences. Students will practice reading comprehension skills with the reading passage page. The worksheets are print and go, no prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. They just need to be printed out and given to students to complete. The sentence strips and pyramid cards need to be printed and cut apart. These low prep cards can also be laminated for durability if desired.

This letter S emergent reader is a great book for practicing beginning sounds. This book is a low prep activity for students to make and take home to practice the initial sound of the letter S. These beginning readers are perfect for any preschool or kindergarten classroom where students are learning about the letter S and its most common initial sound. This emergent reader includes a cover page and seven different "S is for..." pages that all focus on the most common sound of the letter S in the initial position of the word. What is Included: Letter S emergent reader cover page. S is for sad. S is for sailboat. S is for six. S is for saw. S is for seahorse. S is for sock. S is for sun. Students can be guided to color each picture first and then cut the pages apart. There are two emergent reader pages for each printed page. The pages will then be stapled together in a book for students to read over and over to practice the letter R sound. All pictures in this book focus on the initial /s/ sound. The pages can be stapled together in any order as long as the cover page is on top. This letter F emergent reader is a great book for practicing beginning sounds. This book is a low prep activity for students to make and take home to practice the initial sound of the letter F. With these sight word foldable book, students will practice sight word recognition. Students will use these books to find, write, and read the target sight word! This resource contains foldable books for the sight word: come The pages included in this product are: There are 2 sight word activity foldable books. Both books have a cover page to color, a seek and find activity where students color or dab the sight word, and an area where students will trace the sight word. One book has a page where students will simply read sentences containing the sight word, while the other contains sentences for students to first write the sight word, then read the sentences. There are 2 sight word emergent readers. One reader has students simply color an image and read the sentence containing the target sight word. The second reader contains the same sentences with the sight word missing. Students will write the sight word, then read the sentences on these books. How to Make: Students can either fold the books first or complete the activities before folding the book. The order is not important. To create the books, students will first fold the book along the horizontal line, then they will fold along the vertical line.
