Cross-Sections of 3D Figures MATCHING ACTIVITIES

Cross-Sections of 3D Figures MATCHING ACTIVITIES
Math, Geometry, Grade 7, Activities

Cross-Sections of 3D Figures MATCHING ACTIVITIES Cross-Sections of 3D Figures MATCHING ACTIVITIES is a unique educational resource created for Grade 7 math educators, focusing on their geometry curriculum. Designed to promote comprehension and visualization of three-dimensional objects, this tool aligns with the CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.G.A.3. This comprehensive package includes two engaging matching activities: Matching Directional Terms: In this activity , learners are given various drawings that depict a plane section slicing through a 3D figure. They're tasked with naming which directional term best describes the slice (options include horizontal, vertical, and diagonal cuts as well as slices that are perpendicular or parallel to the base). Matching Cross-Sections: Herein students are assigned three-dimensional figures alongside descriptions of how these figures would be sliced by a plane section; they must then determine what shape would emerge from such an act. The digital download for each activity features an optional linkage to Google Forms implementations for easy access flexibility and come complete with answer keys for swift progress verification by teachers. Note: Due to specific standard guidelines excluding circles from this particular segment in geometry study - circular figures aren't covered within these activities. Purposeful Application The Cross-Sections of 3D Figures matching games POSSESS versatility in application types and can function effectively when utilized either during whole-group classroom sessions or even individually-assigned tasks handled at home. Additionally these resources can be especially beneficial when splitting classes into smaller units during breakout room sessions; offering an interactive aspect whilst maintaining adherence to core curriculum standards.

Ugly Duckling Puppets

Ugly Duckling Puppets
ELA, Reading, Reading Comprehension, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities

This set of popsicle stick puppets is for the classic fairy tales The Ugly Duckling Story. My favorite version is the Walt Disney's The Ugly Duckling (Little Golden Book) written by Annie North Bedford and illustrated by The Walt Disney Studio. This puppet set is a great and fun activity for pre school, kindergarten, and first grade students in class or at home. This set can help your students to connect, remember and retell the story to others. I hope these puppets are useful in your future story adventures at home or in the classroom. Materials for 1 set: 3 to 5 popsicle sticks crayons or color pencils 1 puppet page Instructions: Color puppets, cut on doted line or outer edge, glue each to a popsicle stick. For the 3 Duckling I would put the 3 Duckling on one side and the 3 Adult Ducks on the other side. It would be the same idea with the Ugly Duckling and Adult Ugly Duckling or Swan. On the downloadable and printable page there is 5 puppets. Which are 1 Ugly Duckling, 1 Adult Ugly Duckling, 1 Mama Duck, 1 group of 3 Ducklings, and 1 group of 3 Adult Ducklings.

Simply look at the answer key to see what the pictures are and choose an appropriate substitute colour. Colour by number You will only need to print the worksheets and allow the students to colour the squares themselves. Preparation: Worksheets 3 printing options: 1. Full colour - best if you will be able to use all the same colours that I have used. 2. Partial colour – I have left the colours blank. You will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity . This is best if you need to make some substitutions because you are printing on colour paper and cannot find all the correct colours. 3. Black and white - like with the partial colour version, you will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity . Squares Pages If you are using this resource as a cut and paste activity . 2 printing options: 1 .Colour squares pages (Print on white paper.
