UEFA European Championship 2024 -Football Jerseys Euro 2024 This material includes jerseys featuring national flags in the shape of hearts for all 24 participants of the UEFA European Football Championship 2024. Each jersey comes in both color and black-and-white versions for coloring. Euro 2024 - Decoration: Themed Wall or Board Material: Decorate your themed wall for Euro 24 with the jerseys. You can use them, for example, to visualize the current match schedule or the current rankings of the countries. Simply cut off the flap at the neckline. Pennant Banner: Hang the jerseys as a pennant banner in the classroom. Fold the small flap at the neckline over the string and attach it to the bottom edge. Euro 2024 - Creating Profiles: Attach the front sides of the jerseys with flags to the back of profile templates using the neckline flap to create foldable cards. Football Team: Students can select their favorite team or introduce the team opponents in the tournament groups. Coelacanth is one of the most popular pieces of evidence that evolutionary scientists use to prove their theory about the age of the earth. But Coelacanth was discovered living in the early 20th century. Not only was this “extinct” fish discovered alive and well, but it was also apparently the same with no major changes compared to the original fossil discovered and dated 65 million years. So, if macroevolution is true, should the coelacanth still be used as evidence of evolution or old age. If so, why are there no apparent changes in this specific animal? These are questions to be pondered by students who read the short article and answer the questions included in the activity. This reading comprehension activity includes the link to the article discussing the discovery and what this might mean to the overall picture painted for the public regarding the evidence. This activity can be used for guided reading as well as increasing vocabulary and practice critically evaluating both sides of a controversial topic: Creation vs Evolution. This is an Ocean Animal Report utilizing the TIDE format. Included in this file you will find a parent letter about the project, prompts for each paragraph, TIDE graphic organizers for three paragraphs of informative writing along with writing paper for the first drafts of each, a blank page for them to create a cover for the report, a page for pictures of the ocean animal, final draft paper, an example of completed organizers and a final draft to match, and a couple of rubric options for both writing and/or oral presentation. The three paragraphs will address: • Why students chose the ocean animal they chose • A few basic facts about the ocean animal (e.g., habitat, diet, physical description) • A few cool or unique facts about the ocean animal Generally, this project takes my students about 4-5 days to complete. The oral presentation takes another day or two. I send home the parent letter a week in advance. I’ve done this with both second and third graders and found it to work well for both. Here’s a further breakdown of the paragraphs: Paragraph One Writing Prompt: Write an informative paragraph explaining why you chose the ocean animal you chose for your report. Paragraph Two Writing Prompt: Write an informative paragraph explaining three basic facts about your ocean animal (e.g., diet, habitat, physical characteristics). Paragraph Three Writing Prompt: Write an informative paragraph explaining three unique facts about your ocean animal (e.g., speed, communication, lifestyle). This resource is a thorough and engaging way to build research and writing skills.
