Grade 6 English Grammar Error Correction Worksheets
Writing, ELA, Grade 6, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets
I made this pack because I got tired of seeing the same grammar mistakes in my students' writing week after week. Same capitalization errors. Same punctuation problems. Same sentence fragments. At some point I thought — they just need more practice noticing these things. So that's what these 20 worksheets are. Each one has a set of sentences with real mistakes in them — the kind my Grade 6 students actually make. They read the sentence, spot what's wrong, and fix it. Simple as that. What I like about this format is that it makes students slow down. They can't just skim and move on. They have to actually look at how the sentence is built. I use these whenever I have a spare ten minutes — before a writing task, as homework, at a literacy center, or just as a quick Friday review. No prep needed. Print and go. The results aren't overnight, but after a few weeks of regular practice, students genuinely start catching their own mistakes. That's the whole reason I put this together.

ELA, Literature, Reading, Writing, Research, High School, Homeschool Resources, Teacher Tools, Assessments, Graphic Organizers, Lesson Plans, Outlines, Presentations, Quizzes and Tests, Rubrics, Worksheets & Printables, Writing Prompts
Homeschooling a high schooler is a completely different ballgame, isn’t it? I quickly realized that my teenager could spot pointless busywork a mile away—and honestly, they just do not tolerate it. I needed something that fulfilled those necessary high school academic requirements but actually got my teen talking. That frustration is exactly why I built this f our-week unit study for The Outsiders . I originally designed it to take the planning pressure off my own shoulders while offering the kind of mature, respectful academic challenge that older kids appreciate. We skip the repetitive, surface-level comprehension questions here. Instead, this unit targets the messy, real-world themes that high schoolers actually care about: class divides, identity, and the intense pressure to belong. Because the daily layout is already completely organized for you, you can stop stressing over Sunday night lesson planning. Instead, you get to just sit down at the table and dive into great book discussions with your student. This High School The Outsiders Unit Study study was a genuine labor of love in our own home. My hope is that it gives you back your prep time and turns your literature hours into something you both actually look forward to each day. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: Daily roadmap for structured learning. 6-part test, rubrics, and grading keys. 20 deep-thinking prompts and essay topics. Note-taking sheets, projects, and progress trackers. TOPICS COVERED: Greasers vs. Socs class analysis. Exploring adolescent pressure and growth. Symbolism, narrative voice, and theme. Investigating self-concept and belonging. Whether you need a solid foundation for a high school literature credit or a meaningful supplemental deep dive, this growing bundle bridges the gap between academic rigor and true heart. It challenges older students/homeschoolers to think critically and dissect the complexities of Hinton’s iconic narrative, while giving you back hours of your precious weekly prep time. If you and your students/homeschoolers enjoyed this unit study, please leave a review. Thank you for your continued support! Tina - Big Easy Homeschooling Mom

Bring the Chills to Your High School Literature Study As a homeschool mom, I know firsthand how tough it is to find high school English curriculum that is both truly rigorous and actually interesting to teenagers. That is exactly why I created this High School Edgar Allan Poe 2-Week Unit Study . I wanted to bridge the atmospheric, classic dread of Poe with the sharp, modern psychological tension of authors like Shirley Jackson. This is not just about reading spooky stories for fun—we are digging into the actual mechanics of how authors craft fear across different literary eras. It is a completely no-prep unit that keeps my own daughter excited to open her books every single morning! What You Get in This Resource: Detailed 2-week lesson plans Comprehensive student handouts Complete grading rubrics and answer keys A ready-to-use PowerPoint presentation Core Skills & Topics Covered: Foundations of Gothic horror vs. modern psychological suspense Comparative literary analysis Formal essay writing By the end of these two weeks, your students/homeschoolers will have tackled complex, eerie texts, constructed a strong thesis statement, and learned how to back up their arguments with evidence. I have also included a built-in peer review process to help them learn how to give and receive constructive feedback in a supportive way. You will be amazed at the deep, thoughtful conversations this unit sparks—taking your high schooler way beyond simple plot summaries and right into higher-order critical thinking. Target Classes of Attendees (Students): The target audience for the worksheets can be classified as follows: 1. Primary Target: High School Students (Grades 10-12). The worksheets contain advanced vocabulary and concepts presented in detailed scenarios appropriate for Grade 10-12 students who are preparing for or currently enrolled in AP, IB, Honors, or Gifted/Talented programs. The content, therefore, would be too complex for younger students (Grades 9 and below) or students in Special Education; whereas, the content is sufficiently challenging for 8+, 12+ grade-level of students but the activities/situations are not directly related to those students. 2. Secondary Target: First-Year College/University Students. The worksheets could be used as supplemental materials for freshman seminar courses, introductory business/engineering courses, and any program that emphasizes group projects. 3. Niche Target: Teacher Professional Development. The frameworks included in this document are designed specifically for teachers who want to improve their own collaborative working practices with their own departments or other collaborative groups via Professional Learning Communities (PLC). Let’s be honest: finding high school curriculum that is genuinely tough but actually keeps a teenager’s attention is a massive challenge. When my daughter and I hit this stage, I knew I did not want another textbook that just asked her to memorize basic biology facts. I wanted something that would challenge her to think and question like a real scientist. That is exactly why I put together this High School Tardigrade Extremotolerance Unit . I wanted to create something that could easily turn a kitchen table or a standard classroom into a hands-on research lab. Instead of just another dry nature study, this unit dives deep into how these tiny creatures impact modern medicine. It is a fantastic, stress-free way to build your teen's confidence and get them completely ready for college-level science. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: 10-Day comprehensive lesson plan. 30-slide presentation deck with notes. 25-question test with answer key. Research project rubric and grading scale. TOPICS COVERED: Tardigrade anatomy and phylum. Cryptobiosis and vitrification. Dsup protein and DNA repair. Biomedical and medical technology. I also made sure this unit is completely open-and-go, focusing entirely on big-picture understanding instead of mind-numbing memorization. Whether you are working one-on-one at home or leading a busy co-op group, I have done the heavy lifting for you. The included instructor notes break down complex biological concepts into easy-to-explain talking points, while the open-ended project options let your teen lean into what they care about most. You are not just downloading another digital file to clog up your hard drive; you are getting a reliable, stress-free roadmap to help your student/homeschooler truly thrive. Grade 6 English Grammar Error Correction Worksheets 20 Pages
ELA, Grade 6, Worksheets & Printables
My Grade 6 students used to hand in writing full of the same mistakes over and over — missing capitals, run-on sentences, words they'd spelled a dozen times before. That's honestly why I made this pack. These 20 worksheets give students short sentences to read and fix. The errors are the ones that actually show up in real student writing: capitalization slips, punctuation gaps, spelling mistakes, and sentences that just don't quite hang together. Nothing abstract — just the stuff they need to notice and fix. I've used these in so many different ways over the years: as a warm-up at the start of class, something to finish early with, a homework sheet, a quick review before a writing task. They work equally well for the whole class or for a student who needs a bit of extra practice without feeling singled out. No prep involved — just print and hand out. Students can work through them on their own or you can go over them together. Either way, the repetition builds good habits, and after a while you really do start seeing fewer of those familiar errors in their writing.

True scientific literacy—being able to evaluate evidence critically—has become the most important skill of our time due to the overwhelming amount of information and misinformation in today’s society. This unit is a complete, no-prep 5-day lesson plan that will help students in middle and high school understand how to break down scientific articles. With this unit’s help, students will learn how to look at methodological procedures; how to find biases; how to tell the difference between correlation and causation; and how to develop evidence-based arguments—all of which are necessary for success in AP classes, as well as in college! This unit is appropriate for the following classes: Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics and as a cross-curricular project with ELA. This resource also correlates with the NGSS Science and Engineering Practices (Engaging in Argument Based on Evidence) and other Common Core Literacy standards. Included in this unit: 1. Educator & Student Master Guide (47 pgs) : Part 1 consists of an in-depth detailed core instructional guide for teachers on Scientific Reading Theory. Core principles and concepts included: IMRAD (scientific structure) ; Hierarchy of Evidence ; Identifying Fallacies Part 2 consists of constructing 10 scaffolded, grade level appropriate worksheets using High-Interest/Relevant scientific reading materials. Examples include: Anatomy of an Abstract Isolation of Variable and Control Critique Methodology Interpret Data & Statistical Literacy Correlation vs. Causation Identify Bias/Conflict of Interest Synthesize Competing Hypotheses Peer Review Simulation Part 3 consists of teacher support systems: 3 Visual Professional Anchor Charts/Posters (anatomy of a scientific argument, source credibility matrix, interrogating empirical graphics) Comprehensive Answer Key (all 10 worksheets) 5-Day Implementation/Teaching Plan: step-by-step plan to facilitate complete unit implementation successfully Will enable your students to read as scientists, question as reporters, and think as researchers; providing the necessary tools to assist in developing their confidence/skepticism towards the scientific world. How Parents and Schools Appreciate It: Teaches Skills for the 21st Century: Instead of teaching through rote memorization, this unit prepares students to learn to think critically. Students learn to use the problem-solving skills needed for success in college and their future career paths. Teaches Digital and Media Literacy: In this age of "fake news" and false claims, the unit provides students with tools to evaluate the credibility of scientific information they see online, including news headlines and social media posts. Prepares Students for Academic Challenge: The analytical skills that students develop (being able to analyze dense texts, understand research design, and base their opinion on credible evidence) give students a solid head-start into AP science classes and university studies. Comprehensive Teaching Tools for Teachers: The unit is a complete unit, and includes everything that teachers need to implement student learning. Each teacher will find all of the information and teaching materials necessary, along with a comprehensive teacher guide, ready-to-publish worksheets, visual aids, and answer key; which will save every teacher dozens of hours on the preparation and planning of each lesson. Audience: The Target Audience includes: Primary: Grades 8-12 Science (On Level); High School AP or Honors Biology; Chemistry; Environmental Science; Physics Secondary: Gifted or Advanced (Grades 6-7-Science), as the concepts may be difficult for Sixth-grade students who are not Advanced or Gifted; nevertheless, students classified as Advanced will do well. Cross-Curricular: High School ELA/ELA or Media Literacy planer interested in adding analysis of non-fictional/informational text to their plan. Feelings Conversation Cards | 16 Sentence Starters for Speaking
Language Development, ELA, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Special Resources, Social Skills, Not Grade Specific, Task Cards, Worksheets & Printables, Flashcards
I made these Feelings Conversation Cards for simple speaking activities about feelings and emotions. Each card gives students an easy sentence to continue, so even quieter learners usually have something they can say. The prompts are open enough for different answers, but still simple for different ages and levels. Some examples of how the cards can be used: • I’m happy when … “…when I have my birthday.” “…when I get what I want.” • I’m tired when … “…when I go to bed late.” “…when I work too much.” I mostly use cards like these for pair work, warm-up discussions, morning meetings, and small speaking groups. They also work well as quiet conversation prompts during SEL lessons. What’s inside: • 16 conversation cards • 5 printable pages • card backs included Just print the pages, cut the cards, laminate them if you’d like to use them more than once and they’re ready to use. The illustrations and soft colors were designed to keep the activity calm and welcoming, especially for students who may need a little more time or confidence to share their thoughts.

Tutoring Business Plan Templates: Tutoring Session Graphic Organizers
Resources for Teachers, Not Grade Specific, Teacher Tools, Graphic Organizers, Templates
Are you thinking of starting your own tutoring business or getting some tutoring students in elementary school or high school to supplement your teaching income? Here are ready-to-go, editable tutoring templates that you can use to plan your sessions, record what you accomplish, and report back to your students’ parents. This will give your business a professional look while saving you time: the templates have all the information you need and nothing you don’t! How to Use: a) Tutoring Plan: Create a tutoring plan for each student. This can be done when a student starts working with you and should last for at least 3-6 months. This one-page sheet highlights the student’s strengths and the skills they need to work on. It has room for you to plan routines (warm-up and rewards) and three key areas that you will work on with the student- including the resources you will use. You can gather information from the parents, the student’s teacher, and report cards or previous assessments for developing this plan. You can share the completed plan with the parents (and the student if it is age-appropriate). You can print a copy or type into the slide. Check out a completed sample to see how to use this page. b) Tutoring Sessions: Print a tutoring sessions sheet for each of your students. One sheet will last ten sessions. You can record the date and time of the session and all the activities you complete along with the resources you use. This will make prepping for the next session much easier- using your tutoring plan and this record sheet will allow you to always know what comes next. You can also record your payments here. Check out a completed sample to see how to use this page. What activities would you prep for Gabriel’s third session? c) Tutoring Reports: Write a simple, one-paragraph report each term you tutor (every 3-4 months). You can describe work habits, skills you have worked on, and areas of growth you have noticed. Share with the parents. I have included a version with lines (for printing and writing on) and a version with no lines (for typing into and emailing). These three templates will ensure you are prepared and professional as you embark on your tutoring journey!
