Sunflowers – Factual Interview Text, Glossary & Student Profile A differentiated reading activity on Helianthus annuus for grades 3–7 🌻📚 This resource offers a creative and low-prep way to introduce your students to one of the best-known summer flowers: the sunflower (Helianthus annuus). Using an age-appropriate factual text in the form of an interview, this lesson invites students to learn more about the plant’s features, growth, and significance – all while practicing reading comprehension and working independently. The main text is written as an interview with a sunflower, which makes the content more relatable and engaging for younger learners. It’s differentiated into two versions (standard and simplified) to support mixed-ability groups. A glossary is included for both versions to support vocabulary development and help students access the content on their own. I created this winter-themed telling time activity for young learners who are practicing how to read clocks and match daily routines with specific times. The worksheets use simple winter illustrations and clear clock faces, making it easy for students to work independently without feeling overwhelmed. This resource works especially well during the winter months when students enjoy seasonal activities that are still academically meaningful. It can be used as a warm-up, a math center, a review activity, or a quiet task for early finishers. I’ve used similar time-telling sheets with my own students, and they always enjoy seeing the winter images while practicing an important math skill. Sunflowers – Coloring Sheet | Helianthus annuus A simple activity to accompany science or seasonal lessons 🌻🖍️ This printable coloring sheet focuses on the sunflower ( Helianthus annuus ) and can be used to support lessons on plants, summer flowers, or as a quiet creative task in between more content-heavy subjects. It’s easy to integrate into primary classroom routines and works well as a one-lesson activity – no prep needed. The download includes two versions: one with a cheerful color frame and one in classic black and white, perfect for photocopying. Students can color the sunflower while reviewing what they’ve learned or as part of an introduction to summer plants and flower species. What’s included: One sunflower coloring page with decorative frame (PDF) Color version for digital or presentation use Black and white version for classroom copying I’ve used this sheet alongside our lesson on plant parts or after reading a short informational text about sunflowers. Some students like to label the parts of the flower directly on the page or write a short description on the back. 2025 Calendar (PDF & on Google Slides editable)

This is a simple, cute, and colorful calendar for 2025. It comes in two formats: a ready to print and go PDF and Google Slides (that can be edited as you wish). This can be used for various purposes such as a classroom calendar, homework calendar, teacher or personal home calendar. The nice thing about the "special dates" section is that you can type in all your special dates/birthdays/anniversaries and reuse the list year after year. Just change the dates and year. I print out a paper version to display on my fridge. It is very easy to print and ready for use. It includes Dec. 2024 and the new year months, January-December 2025. Each month has a cute and colorful picture associated to a holiday celebrated that month. Since I personally use this calendar I will be updating the calendar dates and updating this product as I update my calendar. If you wish, this calendar can also be used digitally on Google Slides so you can type in all the information you need on it. You can also change the font size, color, and styles.
