I love to make printable greeting cards and bookmarks. Not only are they fun for kids to do but can be used to practice and build useful and important skills. For example, these cute Valentines Day cards with matching envelope template (5 x 7 finished size): Require students to cut out the cards and envelope template in order to create a finished card with a matching envelope. Cutting with scissors builds fine motor skills. When students fold the cards correctly as well as paste the envelope template correctly, they are developing (especially with the envelope template) problem solving skills in addition to the fine motor skills practice. Deciding who to give the card, writing out a greeting to the chosen person, and addressing the envelope will not only build social skills, but life skills that will always be needed throughout adulthood. Properly addressing the card and outside envelope will require proper capitalization and grammar and will develop handwriting skills as well. Students can work on their cards as a group. Teachers can create a special center for this project. Cards are blank on the inside so that students can decide what they want to say. They can also draw pictures if they are not reading or writing letters yet. The cards are not age specific. They can be created with pre-readers all the way up to adulthood. There are six (6) different foldable, 5 x 7-inch cards with the following sayings: All you need is Jesus Jesus loves you Be my valentine I love you Two of the cards contain a picture without a saying. One envelope template is included, which can be used with any 5 x 7 card besides the cards in the Valentines Day card pack. pdf downloadable file, each card is on a separate sheet of paper. In this bundle, you will receive a variety of 5 x 7 card designs. Everything from green and lavender non-religious Christmas cards to variations of Christmas cards with old fashioned type pictures, some with Bible verses, some without Bible verses. In this super bundle, you will also receive 8 beautiful bookmarks that are full color, with the option to make eight single sided (Bible verse or no) or 4 double-sided bookmarks. In addition, there is a full page of 4 extra-large black and white bookmarks telling the Nativity story, for younger children to color and cut up. The 4 bookmarks each have a portion of the Biblical Nativity story so can also be used for sequencing of events activities. Included in this Super bundle of Christmas cards and bookmarks: 29 total 5 x 7 Christmas cards 27 of the cards are in full color 2 of the cards are black and white color your own 1 BONUS 5 x 7 Envelope template - all the 5 x 7 cards in the kit will fit perfectly into the template. You can pick your own color paper/cardstock to create your envelope to match the card color and style. Sunflowers – Factual Interview Text, Glossary & Student Profile A differentiated reading activity on Helianthus annuus for grades 3–7 🌻📚 This resource offers a creative and low-prep way to introduce your students to one of the best-known summer flowers: the sunflower (Helianthus annuus). Using an age-appropriate factual text in the form of an interview, this lesson invites students to learn more about the plant’s features, growth, and significance – all while practicing reading comprehension and working independently. The main text is written as an interview with a sunflower, which makes the content more relatable and engaging for younger learners. It’s differentiated into two versions (standard and simplified) to support mixed-ability groups. A glossary is included for both versions to support vocabulary development and help students access the content on their own. What’s included: Factual text in interview form (2 levels of difficulty) Glossary for each version of the text Printable student profile to be completed after reading Photo of a sunflower (self-taken, for classroom use) Answer key for the profile Optional extension task for early finishers All materials in both full-color and black-and-white versions Format: PDF Classroom ideas: Start the lesson with the sunflower photo as a silent impulse or discussion starter. Students will Practice hands-on craft skills (cutting, folding, pasting, problem solving with the challenge of properly creating an envelope from the template). Practice handwriting and spelling, proper grammar (including use of capitalization for proper nouns, at the beginning of sentence, proper use of commas and periods). Practice proper addressing of an envelope in preparation of sending in the mail, which is an important life skill. Greeting cards are not age specific. If the student can't read or write, they can draw pictures inside their card and get help from peers and teachers.

2025 - 2026 Back to School Snack Calendar | Pre-K- 1st Grade |EDITABLE This is a great Snack Calendar that comes in a PowerPoint form that is completely Editable! It is perfect for Preschool students, Kindergarten students, and 1st graders. It is a very helpful tool to help teachers stay organized throughout the year and is a handy handout for parents, so they are aware when it is their child's turn to bring in a group snack for the class. This product is for the entire year! Every month is featured in the year to accommodate for all school schedules, especially for those who are year-round. This product comes in a colored version or a black and white version that teachers can print out as a handout, to hang in their classroom, or to keep nearby to help them to stay organized. Included in this product is a snack list that can be printed on the back of each calendar handout. There is also a page where teachers can include their own snack list that is editable. Lastly, as mentioned, this is completely editable. Teachers only need to remove the (name) section on each calendar day and replace it with a students' name in its place. I developed this High School The History of Mother’s Day Reading Passage unit specifically to move beyond the surface-level crafts and card-making usually associated with the holiday in younger grades.
