I love to make printable greeting cards and bookmarks. Not only are they fun for kids to do but can be used to practice and build useful and important skills. For example, these cute Valentines Day cards with matching envelope template (5 x 7 finished size): Require students to cut out the cards and envelope template in order to create a finished card with a matching envelope. Cutting with scissors builds fine motor skills. When students fold the cards correctly as well as paste the envelope template correctly, they are developing (especially with the envelope template) problem solving skills in addition to the fine motor skills practice. Deciding who to give the card, writing out a greeting to the chosen person, and addressing the envelope will not only build social skills, but life skills that will always be needed throughout adulthood. Properly addressing the card and outside envelope will require proper capitalization and grammar and will develop handwriting skills as well. Students can work on their cards as a group. Teachers can create a special center for this project. Cards are blank on the inside so that students can decide what they want to say. They can also draw pictures if they are not reading or writing letters yet. The cards are not age specific. They can be created with pre-readers all the way up to adulthood. There are six (6) different foldable, 5 x 7-inch cards with the following sayings: All you need is Jesus Jesus loves you Be my valentine I love you Two of the cards contain a picture without a saying. One envelope template is included, which can be used with any 5 x 7 card besides the cards in the Valentines Day card pack. pdf downloadable file, each card is on a separate sheet of paper. Also included is a coloring sheet with a colored sheet students can use to match the colors or color their own way using their own chosen color scheme.

Homeschooling high school is a whole different ball game. As a mom currently navigating 9th grade with my own daughter, I know the struggle: finding resources that are not 'childish' but also don't read like a dry college dissertation is tough. We want our teens to think critically about the world without being bored to tears. That is exactly why I created this High School Evolution of Earth Day Reading Passage. It actually started with my daughter asking how a simple protest turned into a global mandate—and honestly, I could not find a deep-dive rigorous enough for her curiosity. This is notjust another basic history worksheet. It is a comprehensive study built to sharpen paragraph-style writing and spark a real sense of environmental stewardship in our young adults. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: A rigorous text exploring Earth Day’s evolution from 1970 to today. Complex prompts requiring deep critical thinking and synthesis from the homeschooler. Model answers in paragraph-style format for academic benchmarking. 10 note-taking sheets to support various learning and retention styles.
