I created this water cycle science activity for young students who are beginning to learn how water moves through Earth’s systems. Each page focuses on a simple part of the water cycle, including evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. The worksheets include clear diagrams, short explanations, and guided activities so students can understand the concept without feeling overwhelmed. This type of activity works well during science lessons, especially when students are being introduced to Earth science topics. It can be used as a whole-class activity, a science center, morning work, or extra practice after a lesson. I’ve used similar worksheets before, and students enjoy labeling diagrams and following the steps of the water cycle from start to finish. The pack is easy to print and works well in both color and black-and-white. It fits nicely into classroom routines and can also be used at home for review or reinforcement. Students come up with basic nouns and adjectives to complete the simple sentences to give students basic sentences to form their report around. Jaguar important fact cards - These cards are miniature forms of the informational poster that students can use as reference for their report. Jaguar informational reading - This is a short reading passage that students can read to learn more about their animal. Comprehension questions for the comprehension passage - These are questions to check for understanding of the informational passage. Special Adaptation Cards - These cards highlight special adaptations and traits that this animal has that help it live and thrive in its environment. Animal Research Recording Page - This is a single page report recording page that students can use to create their animal report. Animal Research Flip Book Template - This flip book is a great place for students to record their research on their animal, or this can be used as the report itself. History Timeline Templates | Color and Black & White PDF

Timelines are one of those history tools that seem simple until you try to find one that fits the lesson you are teaching. Sometimes students only need to organize five major events. A longer unit, biography, or research project may require space for ten, twelve, or even sixteen events. I created this collection so teachers can choose the timeline that makes the most sense for their students and the topic being studied. You will not need to squeeze a long unit onto a page that is too small or give students a large, complicated timeline when only a few events are needed. This printable PDF includes timeline templates for 5, 8, 10, 12, and 16 events. Each layout comes in a colorful version and a matching black-and-white version. The black-and-white pages are helpful when you want to conserve colored ink or let students add their own color. Each numbered event box contains: A blank line for the event name A labeled line for the date or year An additional line for a short fact or explanation The numbered boxes help students keep their events in chronological order. I intentionally left the circles and connecting lines off the student templates. After students complete their event boxes, they decide where each event belongs on the central timeline and draw their own connections. This gives them an opportunity to think about sequence and placement instead of simply copying a timeline that has already been arranged for them. A directions page is included to walk students through the process. I also included a completed five-event example based on the American Revolution. The example shows students how to add event names, dates, brief details, and connecting lines without limiting the blank templates to one particular historical period. Teachers can use these pages during a history or social studies unit, as part of a research project, for biography studies, in an interactive notebook, or as an end-of-unit review. They can also work well for independent practice, small groups, homework, substitute plans, or homeschool lessons. For younger students or shorter lessons, the five-event template provides a manageable starting point. Older students can use the versions with more events for detailed units, longer historical periods, and multi-step research projects. Since the pages are not labeled by grade, the same collection can be used with upper elementary, middle school, and high school students. There is no traditional answer key because the completed timelines will depend on the topic selected by the teacher or student. The completed American Revolution page serves as a model. This resource is provided as one 13-page, landscape-oriented PDF. Teachers can print only the pages they need rather than printing the entire collection.

This Grade 5-8 Math: Student Self-Assessment Tool works with ANY math unit or chapter in the intermediate grades and can be used over and over again all year to help your students practice the vital art of self assessment. How to Use: 1. Start this routine at the beginning of the year, near the end of your first math unit! 2. Go through the sample template with your students so they understand each part of it. 3. Then have your students fill in the template for their own learning in the current math unit to prepare for the upcoming test. 4. They start by filling in the unit name & chapter number. 5. You can provide the learning skills or outcomes that you have covered in the math unit, or you can ask your students to help figure them out. 6 Students then rate their knowledge from 1-5 on each skill or learning outcome. Remind students it is normal that they may be very good at some skills while needing more practice on others. 7.
