IMPORTANCE OF THE PRACTICE OF GRAPHOMOTRICITY IN CHILDREN: --As is known, graphomotor skills are those set of skills and aptitudes that will allow the child to develop legible writing in the future. These skills consist of the child's ability to control the movement of the pencil to produce well-formed and precise strokes on the paper. --This is why graphomotor skills will also involve eye-hand coordination, which will allow the child to copy letters and words effectively. --Graphomotor skills bring multiple benefits because this activity stimulates and develops multiple cerebral and neuronal connections in the brain. In this way, children who exercise graphomotor skills will have greater activity in the areas of the brain related to cognition and language. -- In addition to everything, graphomotor skills will have a very positive impact on the child's self-esteem because by learning to write legibly and effectively, children will feel more capable and self-confident, which will later allow them to learn new skills and develop in different areas of life. Cut Out And Write The Story Of Hansel And Gretal (6-9 years)
ELA, Writing, Creative Writing, Grade 2, 3, 4, Worksheets & Printables, Novel Studies
Cut Out And Write The Story Of Hansel And Gretal (6-9 years) This invaluable instructional tool is meticulously designed to assist children aged 6 to 9 in developing essential language arts skills. The teaching resource crucially focuses on creative writing, centered around the intriguing tale of Hansel and Gretal. This unique product adopts a cut-and-paste format to promote tactile learning. It assigns children with the task of rearranging mixed pages into their correct order, establishing within them an elementary understanding of narrative structure comprising clear beginnings, middles, and endings. Beyond this fundamental sequencing activity lies a superior challenge. Upon organizing the story in proper sequence and reading it, students are prompted to draft their own interpretations of the story. To guide this procedure effectively without hindering creativity, they are admonished to include as much detail as feasible while remaining within the narrative boundaries of this classic fairy tale's plotline. "Using familiar narratives like 'Hansel and Gretal' or 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff', this educational material desires less emphasis on plot recognition than on thorough text comprehension." The known narratives serve as frameworks for students to inscribe their own variations without getting lost in entirely unrestricted creative writing from scratch. Pack sequences provide writing challenges that propel students beyond mere recollection or reproduction – leading learners towards crafting cohesive plans founded on brainstormed ideas all decorated by charming silhouette illustrations contained in each workbook set. Applicability Across Various Settings This indispensable teaching resource can be implemented across diverse environments—suitable for group instruction inside traditional classrooms and equally fit for individualized tasks assigned for at-home completion among homeschoolers. Specifying its target audience—children studying in Grades 2 through 4 who are dedicated to refining their creativity-laden language art skills; it comes accessible in an easy-to-use PDF file format.

O (u): Phonics Workbook Reading Made Simple
Phonics, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Kindergarten, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets
Reading Made Simple — Free O (u) Phonics Workbook These little workbooks have been a quiet favourite with families using Reading Made Simple for some time now. Each one focuses on a single sound and prints on just one sheet of A4 paper — double-sided, folded in half to make a neat A5 booklet that children can hold and work through at their own pace. They are entirely optional. The phonics programme works perfectly well without them, but many parents and teachers find them a useful companion — either as structured practice or simply as a source of ideas to dip into when needed. Tested by real children: One 5-year-old user is quoted as having said, 'The worksheet is the best bit of my lessons!' Other parents have noted that their child likes the worksheet because 'they think it is easy'. When learning is broken down into small, achievable steps, with no curve balls to throw them off track, every child can say, 'I can read!' When I hear these reviews, I know that I have succeeded in my aim to write a phonics curriculum that can help children of all abilities learn to read and spell. These little workbooks are just one small part of what there is to offer. Please do check out the website for more information. Each workbook offers a gentle mix of activities built around the target sound. Children will read short passages that practise the new sound alongside words from sounds already taught, track and identify the sound within words to support both reading and spelling, practise spelling and sentence writing, and work through simple editing exercises where they spot and correct mistakes. These small editing tasks are particularly worthwhile — they encourage children to look carefully at words rather than guessing from context. The workbooks are particularly well-suited to younger children just beginning their phonics journey, and to older children with special educational needs who are still building their foundational reading and spelling skills. That said, they will not suit every child. Some will find them too long, others too straightforward. Use your own judgement — pick the activities that fit, leave the rest, or set them aside entirely. There is no obligation and no right or wrong way to use them. To print: print double-sided, flipping on the short edge. Fold in half to create your A5 booklet. The answer page at the back is optional. One sheet of paper. One sound. Everything a child needs to practise, consolidate and grow in confidence.

Sight Word Fluency Packet - hand
ELA, Reading, Grade 1, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets
These sight word worksheets encourage all students to practice sight word reading fluency for the target sight word. There are three different fluency practice pages that all focus on learning to recognize, spell, and read the target sight word in context. Allowing students to practice the sight word in context gives students the ability to connect the sight word's meaning and grammatical usage to help gain a greater understanding of the target word. Each passage repeats the target word multiple times for extra practice with the word. Students will practice reading, writing, reading comprehension, and spelling high frequency words with these fluency pages. Included in this sight word fluency packet: * One reading fluency page that contains a single passage for students to read and find the sight word. * One write and read fluency page where students will write the target sight word and then read the passage. * One read, write, and draw fluency page where students will read a sentence, copy the sentence then draw a picture to illustrate the sentence. When can these be used? * Literacy activities * Independent Reading Practice * Small group activities * Shared or Partner reading activities * Homework * Morning Work * Emergency sub plans * Extra reading practice The reading fluency page and the write and read page include the same passage and is the perfect way to differentiate between students who need to focus on just recognizing the word while reading and those who need more practice with writing and spelling the sight word in the correct context. These sight word pages are no prep. Teachers only need to print the pages and hand them to the students to read and complete. This packet focuses on the sight word: hand.
