Many of our students love learning in a variety of ways and music is one of those! We can retain information better when we hear it through songs and visual videos. This is one reason we like to incorporate music in our learning environments. We don’t have to limit music to music class only for our students. In my store, you’ll find a wide array of music resources that students will love to learn from. What You Get: This is a music video for your math students in 3rd – 4th grade. The title of this song is “Bidding on Betty.”This is a song and video that will teach students multiplication facts. This video provides explanations and many examples to support student learning. You can implement this video at the introduction of teaching this math skill. The objective is for students to correctly solve multiplication facts by 10. This would be a song that I play multiple times for my students across the course of this unit . Letter V Patterns

Students will practice completing and continuing patterns with this letter V themed patterning worksheet and center set. All the pictures in this patterning set start with the most common sound of the letter V. This worksheet and center packet uses the following pattern types: AB, AAB, ABB, AABB, and ABC. These complete the pattern activities are suitable for preschool and kindergarten students who are learning to recognize, continue and complete simple patterns. They can be placed in a file folder, attached to magnets for a baking tray activity or placed in baskets or tubs for morning activities or math center activities. The patterning center is an easy center to prep and it is also easy for students to clean up. Skills Assessed: Completing Patterns Following Directions By connecting the patterning pages to the letter sound the students is learning allows students to have further exposure to the phonic skills they are working on while doing a math concept at the same time. Students will see many pictures of words that begin with the letter V while completing the patterning worksheet and center activity .

Letter O Beginning Sound Sort

This beginning sound sort for the letter O is a great hands on activity for recognizing the beginning sound of the letter O. This is an easy and fun activity to give students who need practice with recognizing the letter I sound from amongst other letter sounds or for those students who need extra practice distinguishing between the initial sounds in words. To complete this sorting activity , students will look at an olive to determine if the picture begins with the letter O or does not begin with the letter O, and then the students will place the olive on the correct mat.
