This 2-page worksheet will certainly provide your students with the practice they need to deepen their understanding. Students will practice with More Than, Less Than, or Equal To with this printable. The objective is for students to be able to understand and use the symbols < > and =. This worksheet is most appropriate for 2nd grade students. You may have 3rd grade students who need the additional practice. There are 2 pages included and each page has 3 boxes of problems on it. On the first page, students will: 1. Put the correct symbols ( < > or = ) between each pair of numbers. 2. Put in the missing numbers to make the number sentence correct. 3. Find and mark the mistakes in the completed number sentences. On the second page, students will: 1. Put the symbols in to make the number sentences correct. They will have to solve the addition or subtraction problems first to decide which symbol they need to use. 2. Complete these number sentences. There is an addition sentence on the left side of the symbol. 3. Write number sentences of their own using the symbols. You can easily print and laminate these pages, so they retain their durability for repeated use. Students can write answers with a dry erase marker. About the American States and their Capitals: The United States of America is separated into 50 geographic locations known as states. 48 of the states are located between Canada and Mexico. The United States of America was born when 13 colonies won their independence from Great Britain during the American Revolutionary War. These 13 colonies were Virginia, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, North and South Carolina, and Georgia. From 1791 to 1912, the remaining 35 states joined the Union, from Vermont to Arizona. In 1959, Alaska and Hawaii were the last two states to join. About the Canadian Provinces and Territories and their Capitals: The country of Canada is separated into 13 geographic locations known as provinces and territories. During the Confederation of 1867, three provinces were united to form a federated colony. These provinces were New Brunswick (British North America), Nova Scotia and the Province of Canada, which was divided into Ontario and Quebec. From 1870 to 1949, Canada saw the rest of its provinces and territories join, the last being Nunavut in 1999. The provinces receive their power and authority from the Constitution Act of 1867. The territories receive their power from the Parliament of Canada.
