Bridging through 100s helps students in a number of ways: It makes addition with large numbers feel much easier because they are broken down into smaller numbers according to their place value and dealt with one step at a time. It helps in the understanding of place value as students think about tens and ones separately. It's excellent for developing mental math skills It provides an alternative strategy to using the standard method or algorithm. You have a choice of four sets of worksheets. The first set contains addition questions where the first and second addends are multiples of 10, so the focus here is on the bridging of a multiple of 100 in the simplest form. The second set has the first addend a multiple of 10, whilst the second addend is a number between 11 and 99. Both of the above sets have the questions laid out in a visual format that emphasizes the bridging through 100. The third and fourth sets contain the same range of numbers for both addends as above. but now the worksheets are presented in a way that students can either continue with the visual format of the previous two sets or choose how to present their workings demonstrating their understanding of addition through bridging. How many worksheets in each set ? A standout feature is the worksheet randomization. Almost every student in our class is using social media on a daily basis. Cyberbullying is one of those problems that is rarely addressed at schools. I created this product to help my students learn about the causes and devastating effects of cyberbullying. The movie follows a teenage girl named Taylor Hillridge, played by actress Emily Osment, who is excited to receive a new laptop for her birthday. She creates a profile on a social media site called "Cliquester" and quickly gains popularity among her classmates.However, things take a turn for the worse when Taylor becomes the target of cyberbullying. She receives hurtful messages and comments on her profile, and her classmates start to turn against her. Taylor's best friend, Samantha, helps her to try and identify the cyberbully, but they are unsuccessful. The situation escalates, and Taylor's mental health begins to suffer as a result of the constant harassment. Throughout the movie, we see the devastating effects of cyberbullying on Taylor's life, including her relationships with her family and friends. The movie aims to raise awareness about the dangers of cyberbullying and the importance of seeking help if you or someone you know is experiencing it. In the end, Taylor reaches out to a support group for victims of cyberbullying and begins to heal from the trauma she has experienced. The movie ends on a hopeful note, as Taylor starts to rebuild her life and realizes the importance of standing up against cyberbullying. This product comes with 20 movie questions that go along with ABC Family's movie called "Cyberbullying." The movie can be found on Youtube and Netflix. This product also comes with four case studies of the effects of cyberbullying on teenagers. Lastly, this product includes four small group discussion questions. Four older students, have them research a case study on cyberbullying. A simple Google search reveals - sadly - hundreds of teenagers for them to chose from. These worksheets are based on my 3-step process: see it, sound it out, and write it. By using the hand, we strengthen the links in the brain that help both reading and spelling. Reading and spelling are two sides of the same coin. Together, both are stronger. Order, Outline and Steps Each blend is introduced aurally. To begin with, the child is asked to colour the picture that starts with a given blend. There are 2 differentiated worksheets for each blend. A further set of worksheets asks children to sort words by their initial blend - there are 2 differentiated worksheets for this activity. Another set gives the child practice writing the blend, providing a multisensory component. We then move into reading and spelling words with a consonant blend and a short vowel sound - words like 'plum' and 'clap'. The next section gives further practice playing with blends and endings - word making. We then put the blends words into sentences and further into short paragraphs. We finish with a game.
