Teach your students a structured approach to essay writing using the terminology PEE: point, evidence, explanation. As silly as it sounds, its a great mnemonic: remind your students to PEE all over their essays! This package includes a useful, colour-coded single page handout for students to learn essay structure: hook, transition, thesis, topic sentence, evidence, explanation, concluding sentence. This handout also includes the triangle structure for the introduction and conclusion (moving from general to specific in the introduction and from specific to general in the conclusion).
