Landform Formation Taboo Game Support your students’ learning with this Landform Formation Taboo Game. This resource was specifically designed to provide students with an interactive and engaging way to learn more about and review landform formations. This game was crafted for your high school geography students. How to Use The Landform Formation Taboo Game: Once you have completed instruction for yourLandforms unit , you are ready to set this game up. You will print the cards on cardstock to avoid transparency through the paper. Cut them out and have them prepared as a deck. There are 3 pages of cards with 9 cards per page. There will be 27 cards available for this game. Some of the topics included are plate tectonics, convection flow, Epicentre, Ring of Fire, and ice erosion. Taboo is a word guessing game where the objective of the game is for a player to have their partners guess the word on the player's card without using the word itself or five additional words listed on the card. You can have students play this in small teams or split the class into 2 teams. I usually play this as a whole class and only split the class into 2 teams. I usually give each team 2 minutes per turn, but you can modify this to your liking. Full game details are included in this resource. This game is provided in PDF form and an editable Word document. It is also great to use with a learner who is more advanced but needs a quick activity that he/she can do independently free of errors. This activity that can help develop a learner's cognitive and perceptual abilities involves sorting colors. The activity can begin by providing the learner with a set of sorting cards that feature different colors (red, blue, green, yellow, etc.). The activity can be tailored to the learner's level of ability, gradually introducing more complex colors as the learner becomes more adept at sorting. For younger learners, the cards can feature primary colors, while older learners can be challenged with a more wider range of colors. This activity can be conducted individually or in a group setting, allowing learners to learn from each other and collaborate as they work through the sorting process. It is also a fun and engaging way for learners to develop their sorting skills, which can have practical applications in a variety of fields such as science, engineering, and computer programming. Orc Activity
Social Studies, History, History: Europe, Grade 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Activities
Activity Introduction An amazing activity designed for the students to learn more about mythological creatures in different cultures. Orcs Mythical Creatures Orc is a word used to refer to various tough and warlike humanoid mythical creatures in various fantasy settings, particularly in the stories of Middle-earth written by J. R. R. Tolkien and derivative fictions. Ogre and Goblin are sometimes used as synonyms or refer to similar creatures within fiction, however historically the Orc shares little in common with either.
