As teachers, we know the major impact that literacy has on our lives. It is the most fundamental skill that is necessary in order to gain the knowledge of anything else that may peak our interests. If nothing else is instilled in our students, let the ability and love of reading be the goal we have for them. It all begins at a young age, from chewing on baby books, to exploring picture books, to being read to by a beloved adult in their lives. However, as teachers, we have a huge task set before us when it comes to keeping that thirst for knowledge alive in our students. The best thing we can do for them is build their confidence by taking slow and steady steps. This is a Synonym and Antonym Game that is great for any and all students across any subject. Whether your 3rd grade students need practice with their science vocabulary or your 2nd grade students need practice with math vocabulary, this game will help! They will solidify their understanding of the words by the exposure to synonyms and antonyms. How To Use This Resource: Divide your class into two or more groups. Assign each group up to three vocabulary words. Have groups use a dictionary, thesaurus, or the Internet to discover synonyms and antonyms for each vocabulary word. Some symbols are the capitalized first letter of the name of the element . Some symbols have two letters from the name with only the first capitalized. Some symbols are taken from the Latin name of the element. Know that a chemical formula tells you how many atoms of each element are in a compound. Know that if there is no letter after a symbol in a formula, there is only one atom of that element in the compound. Know that if a formula contains brackets, every element inside the bracket is multiplied by that number. Know that compounds ending in ide contain only two elements. Know that compounds containing CO3 are carbonates, SO4 are sulphates and NO3 are nitrates. Know that mono is one, di is two and tri is three. Skip Counting by 11s Bingo - Boards 1-5 This is a unique teaching resource designed to enhance mathematical comprehension in students, specifically from grades 1 through 3. The game guide encompasses printable Bingo Boards, calling cards, and playing squares. Catering to both colorful and monochromatic preferences with available black-and-white options. Getting started is straightforward; each student requires a single Bingo Board along with a minimum count of seven playing squares.
