Slopes Worksheet: Draw and Read Slopes

Slopes Worksheet: Draw and Read Slopes
, Grade 6, 7, 8, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables

Practice drawing slopes and finding slopes from an existing graph! This worksheet is primarily targeted to 7th grade math students, but it is suitable for anyone who needs practice with the concept of slope, like advanced 6th grade students or 8th grade students that need strengthening of this concept. This can be also used as extra material with physics studies, if needed. The special thing with this worksheet is that the graphs are scaled differently, so students really need to focus on what they are doing. The scales of horizontal x-axis are from 0 to 10, but the scales of the vertical y-axis vary from 0…2 to 0…140. Many of the scales are between 0…10 to 0…60. First 5 pages are about finding the slopes from existing graphs and the next five are about graphing the slopes. In this worksheet, we always assume that the y-intercept is 0, to keep things simple and to focus on slopes on coordinate planes. Some of the slopes are whole numbers, some are fractions and some are mixed numbers. The scaling and the slopes are designed so that students should be able to find a right rational number without confusion. The coordinate planes have grids to make things easier. This pdf is at its best as a paper copy, but you can use the five first pages without printing them. All answers are included.
