Colour Bluebells
Creative Arts, Art, Science, Life Sciences, Nature & Plants, Grade 1, 2, 3, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Here is a picture of Bluebells for children to colour this spring! Who is this colouring picture of Bluebells for? Anybody. Older children will extend the activity further than younger ones, Uses for these colouring sheets Use to help children learn the name of the Bluebell and to recognise them. Use as part of a science lesson Use for a basis for collage work Paint or colour. Use to make greetings cards It is best if children colour the Bluebells picture following close observation, or from reference books, or after having looked at Bluebells in real life. Do remind children not to pick them! What is included in the pack? 1 sheet to be coloured 1 sheet giving an example of how the Bluebells could be coloured. The study of the natural world is the foundation for the later study of science. The colouring of pictures of natural things, be it plants or animals is more than a pastime activity. It is a means of familiarising young children with these everyday subjects. The colouring of this Daffodil picture can of course be used as a pastime, or even as part of a creative lesson - the picture looks super made into a spring greeting card of all kinds. But it has the potential to teach much more. The UK National Curriculum for Science expects children to be taught to use the local environment to study plants and animals, throughout the year. What better than to use familiar subjects - such as Bluebells, which are so common in springtime, to teach much about the natural world? Colouring can help children to become familiar with the parts of the Bluebell: ask questions: Where are the petals? What is this part called? Colouring a picture of Bluebell can also help children to become familiar with the particular characteristics of a flower - its shape, colour, and special features, for example.

DRAW THE HALF - Developing Attention and Concentration
Creative Arts, Art, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Drawing Templates & Outlines, Worksheets & Printables

1. Introduction As is known by educational agents, making drawings of symmetrical figures offers various advantages and/or benefits for the cognitive, motor and creative development of students. For this reason, today I present to you this fantastic worksheet. 2.Objective The purposes of this educational sheet are: - Develop fine motor coordination: Drawing symmetrical figures involves drawing lines and shapes with precision. This process helps improve children's fine motor coordination, since they must learn to precisely control the movement of their hands and fingers to then achieve symmetry in the drawing. - Promote visual perception: When we draw symmetrical figures, students are required to observe carefully and understand what symmetry is like in relation to a central axis. This will help and contribute to the development of visual perception, understanding of patterns, shapes in the environment as well as the ability to recognize patterns. - Stimulate logical thinking: As is known, symmetry implies a sense of balance and order. When we draw symmetrical figures, children will be applying logical principles to ensure that both sides of the figure or object are equal. This will help foster logical thinking and reasoning skills. - Promote creativity and aesthetics: Although you may be thinking that symmetry follows patterns and rules, believe it or not, it still leaves spaces for the student to develop their creativity. You should know that, thanks to this fantastic activity, children will be able to play with designs, colors and details on both sides of the figure or object, which will help promote artistic expression and the development of the aesthetic sense. - Understand basic mathematical concepts: You should know that symmetry is also related to basic mathematical concepts such as equality of lengths, equality of angles on opposite sides of the figure as well as the well-known axis of symmetry. By drawing symmetrical figures, you will introduce your children or students to all these concepts in a practical and visual way. 3.Order, scheme and stages Introduce your class creatively through a motivating dynamic that awakens children's interest. Then just enter the worksheet. 4.Grades or ages This worksheet can be developed by children from 4 to 9 years old. 5. Form of application Print this sheet and apply it individually. 6. Answer keys This game does not require answers. 7.Use text labels drawing, draw , draw for kids, art, activity art. 8.Rules Specified above. 9.File types The archive is in PDF format. 10.Number of pages This document contains 9 pages.

SH Phonics Workbook Reading Made Simple
Phonics, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Kindergarten, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Reading Made Simple — Free SH Phonics Workbook These little workbooks have been a quiet favourite with families using Reading Made Simple for some time now. Each one focuses on a single sound and prints on just one sheet of A4 paper — double-sided, folded in half to make a neat A5 booklet that children can hold and work through at their own pace. They are entirely optional. The phonics programme works perfectly well without them, but many parents and teachers find them a useful companion — either as structured practice or simply as a source of ideas to dip into when needed. Tested by real children: One 5-year-old user is quoted as having said, 'The worksheet is the best bit of my lessons!' Other parents have noted that their child likes the worksheet because 'they think it is easy'. When learning is broken down into small, achievable steps, with no curve balls to throw them off track, every child can say, 'I can read!' When I hear these reviews, I know that I have succeeded in my aim to write a phonics curriculum that can help children of all abilities learn to read and spell. These little workbooks are just one small part of what there is to offer. Please do check out the website for more information. Each workbook offers a gentle mix of activities built around the target sound. Children will read short passages that practise the new sound alongside words from sounds already taught, track and identify the sound within words to support both reading and spelling, practise spelling and sentence writing, and work through simple editing exercises where they spot and correct mistakes. These small editing tasks are particularly worthwhile — they encourage children to look carefully at words rather than guessing from context. The workbooks are particularly well-suited to younger children just beginning their phonics journey, and to older children with special educational needs who are still building their foundational reading and spelling skills. That said, they will not suit every child. Some will find them too long, others too straightforward. Use your own judgement — pick the activities that fit, leave the rest, or set them aside entirely. There is no obligation and no right or wrong way to use them. To print: print double-sided, flipping on the short edge. Fold in half to create your A5 booklet. The answer page at the back is optional. One sheet of paper. One sound. Everything a child needs to practise, consolidate and grow in confidence.
