Math, Numbers, Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

1 to 10 Tracing Worksheets Overview This numerical comprehension teaching tool is expertly crafted for educators, including public school instructors and homeschoolers alike. Predominantly, it's tailored for pupils in kindergarten, preschool, and first grade, with special focus on mathematics and specifically numbers. Main Features of the Tracing Worksheets A multifaceted approach: The worksheets contain clear illustrations for finger counting and object counting exercises aimed at bolstering numeracy skills. Numerical Formation: There's considerable importance given to correct number formation, helping students grasp the anatomy of each digit correctly. Learner-friendly design: Each of the ten unique worksheet designs represents a unit number from one through ten. Number traces along with worded numeral tracing elements encourage broader comprehension scope. Preparation for Use The preparation process is quite convenient – educators can simply print out the needed sheets. For longevity purposes, laminating them before use could prove beneficial – allowing repeated use with fine board markers then wiping clean afterward. Potential Usage Scenarios: Educators might prefer using these worksheets during classroom sessions or homework periods working with group classes or individual learners.? Note: They can be converted into a number tracing book to improve pupils' pencil control skills. Confirming their adaptiveness, when combining together into an educational book or using individually with marker tracing activities - they invariably add value by actively engaging young learners while laying mathematical foundations such as phonemes recognition plus exciting coloring activities that keep students captivated throughout lessons.

Why is Russia invading Ukraine? Reading Comprehension Worksheet

Why is Russia invading Ukraine? Reading Comprehension Worksheet
ELA, Reading, Grade 9, 10, 11, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Russia invades Ukraine 2022 Worksheet and Lesson Plan. I'm sure you're as shocked as me by the footage coming out of Ukraine at the moment. I've found it really sad and didn't know where to channel my energy, so I've made this resource and hope to encourage open and frank discussion about the issues. I think we need to be talking about this and discussing it and so I've made this reading comprehension worksheet to try and give a (very) brief explainer of the possible motivations behind the invasion/war. It's a lesson that I think should take around 45-60 minutes and which would work well in English classes, ESL classes and/or any lesson which looks at world events and politics. There is a: Reading Worksheet Warm-up discussions Reading Comprehension Questions Vocabulary activity Debate & discussion Summary writing activity Full lesson plan Let's hope there's a stop to this war very soon. All the best with this lesson and good luck to any Ukrananians in your class or who may be teaching this.

The Moral of the Story: Income Inequality in Familiar Tales: An Integrated ELA and Social Studies Lesson

The Moral of the Story: Income Inequality in Familiar Tales: An Integrated ELA and Social Studies Lesson
Social Studies, Life Studies, ELA, Economics, Finance, Reading, Reading Comprehension, Literature, Grade 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

This lesson introduces middle school students to the basic ideas of capitalism and income inequality using familiar stories as reference points. Students will take notes on a handout and consider whether they think it's fair that the 26 richest people on earth have as much money as 3.8 billion other people. They will learn about the moral of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol: Dickens thinks Scrooge is too greedy and that he should share his wealth with others- especially his hard-working clerk, Bob Cratchit. Next, they discover the message in the popular fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk: one could argue the original author of this tale thinks Jack and his mom should not be living in poverty while the giant has piles of gold. Then, they choose a story or novel of their own that addresses these issues and untangle that author’s specific message. Finally, they complete a personal reflection of what they have learned and what they think about equality in society. There are no wrong answers here- some students may think changes should be made, while others may think our system is working well. This is a developmentally-appropriate way to start a discussion about social issues including income inequality, wealth hoarding, progressive taxation, basic income, human rights, and more. It is also a good way to review parts of a story: plot, characters, moral, and theme. Grades to Use With: This lesson is designed for students in the middle years (5-9) and can be used in a social studies or language arts class. If you enjoy this product, check out other similar activities in my store: Thinking Critically About Social Programs: More, Fewer, or Just Right? U_E: Phonics Workbook Reading Made Simple
Phonics, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Kindergarten, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Reading Made Simple — Free U_E Phonics Workbook These little workbooks have been a quiet favourite with families using Reading Made Simple for some time now. Each one focuses on a single sound and prints on just one sheet of A4 paper — double-sided, folded in half to make a neat A5 booklet that children can hold and work through at their own pace. They are entirely optional. The phonics programme works perfectly well without them, but many parents and teachers find them a useful companion — either as structured practice or simply as a source of ideas to dip into when needed. Tested by real children: One 5-year-old user is quoted as having said, 'The worksheet is the best bit of my lessons!' Other parents have noted that their child likes the worksheet because 'they think it is easy'. When learning is broken down into small, achievable steps, with no curve balls to throw them off track, every child can say, 'I can read!' When I hear these reviews, I know that I have succeeded in my aim to write a phonics curriculum that can help children of all abilities learn to read and spell. These little workbooks are just one small part of what there is to offer. Please do check out the website for more information. Each workbook offers a gentle mix of activities built around the target sound. Children will read short passages that practise the new sound alongside words from sounds already taught, track and identify the sound within words to support both reading and spelling, practise spelling and sentence writing, and work through simple editing exercises where they spot and correct mistakes. These small editing tasks are particularly worthwhile — they encourage children to look carefully at words rather than guessing from context. The workbooks are particularly well-suited to younger children just beginning their phonics journey, and to older children with special educational needs who are still building their foundational reading and spelling skills. That said, they will not suit every child. Some will find them too long, others too straightforward. Use your own judgement — pick the activities that fit, leave the rest, or set them aside entirely. There is no obligation and no right or wrong way to use them. To print: print double-sided, flipping on the short edge. Fold in half to create your A5 booklet. The answer page at the back is optional. One sheet of paper. One sound. Everything a child needs to practise, consolidate and grow in confidence.
