Allow students to sort animals by what they eat. Students can sort by animal by whether they are carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores. What is Included: There are three sorting card headers for carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores. There are eight sorting mats for carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores. There are six picture cards for each of the three sets of sorting activities. Each sorting mat includes a real life example of an animal that belongs in that animal group. All of the picture cards also include real photographs of each animal. What Questions are Asked: To use these, students will lay out either the header cards or the sorting mats. They will then sort the animal images beneath or on top of the correct sorting mat. When to Use: Science Center - The sorting mats can be placed in a science center for students to learn about living things and what they eat.
