Students will practice using Google Slides or PowerPoint software which will increase their knowledge of creating products in these creative software programs. A lovely home economics and family consumer sciences project. Students will be developing research skills when they utilize the included links to find recipes and choose ones that they think sound yummy. Finding, choosing, and trying out new recipes are all life skills that will be helpful into adulthood, especially if students are given the opportunity to try out any of the recipes. Students will have fun doing this crafty, unique activity, and they will be learning at the same time. Recipes contain ingredients in specific amounts (math), and have to be followed like a lab experiment to complete and end up with a successful finished product. Two zipped files are included: one non-editable pdf file and one editable PowerPoint file that can be used with Google slides which is a free program.

What’s Inside: 4-100 piece puzzles Full-color answer pages Simple printing and cutting tips These puzzles work well with Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten, and the higher-piece versions can challenge Grade 1–2 students. I usually print the pages on cardstock and laminate them so they last longer, especially if they’re going into a center. How to Use: Just print, cut, mix, and let students put the puzzle together. Día de los Muertos Reading Comprehension Passage and Craft Activities for Grades 4th to 7th What’s inside? I created this resource with grades 4th to 7th in mind because I wanted something that makes cultural learning easy to understand, but still interesting for older elementary and middle-grade students. While designing it, my goal was to give students a chance to read, think, discuss, and create - all in one meaningful lesson. This resource includes: A reading comprehension passage that compares Día de los Muertos (Mexico) and Shradh (India) A small set of Día de los Muertos vocabulary words Pictures of both Día de los Muertos and Shradh ceremonies to support understanding A simple mask-making craft activity A scrapbook/collage project for team work A certificate you can award to students when they finish Resource features I wrote the passage to help students notice how both traditions honor their ancestors in different ways. The vocabulary list gives students a quick introduction to important terms before reading. Pictures of both traditions make the topic easier to discuss, especially for students who are seeing these celebrations for the first time. The mask-making activity gives students a fun way to connect with the lesson through art. The scrapbook/collage project encourages team work, creativity, and discussion. The activities and wording are age-appropriate for grades 4 - 7. Clear instructions are included so teachers, parents, and homeschoolers can use it without extra preparation. How to use this resource? Reading Comprehension: Students can read the passage and answer questions that help them compare and contrast both traditions. If you are looking for a hands-on way to have your students practice sight words, this Sight Word Dot Painting will do the trick! This super fun set of worksheets helps your student learn to identify sight words when mixed amongst other words. Help them search through the words carefully and mark the sight word whenever they see it. A simple activity- but a hit every time! What You Get: · "What Are Dolch Sight Words?" Article · Dolch Sight Word Lists by level · A dot painting worksheet for each sight word How To Use This Resource: This is the set of dolch sight words. There are 41 words total. I have included several options so you are more likely to find what fits the needs of your students. All the pre-primer words are offered in two fonts: a dotted line for students to trace and practice writing the words, and in a chunky coloring form so students can color and do some art with each word. Every card has a tiny title “Pre-Primer Dolch Sight Words” so that if the card ggets mixed up with the others, you can sort them out by level again. Also, the cards are offered in a classroom form and an individual form. Hopefully this helps to fill both the classroom need and the homeschool need. A tracking chart is included to mark words off as your student memorizes each one. I hope you enjoy!
