Enhance the teaching and learning of the beginning sound of letter U with our unique and interactive flower craftivity. This educational tool is designed to facilitate the understanding and recognition of the letter U sound with common, easy to recognize images. Our resource contains three different letter U flower templates to practice both beginning sounds as well as letter recognition. What's Included: There are two different templates that allow students to create a flower focused on recognizing the beginning sound of the letter U. There is one template that allows students to create a flower focused on letter recognition of both capital and lowercase forms of the letter U. Utilizing this Resource: Simply print the flower templates, and then allow the students to color, cut out, and assemble into a flower on colored construction paper. You can also print the flower design onto colored card stock to create a sorting activity . The flower will need to be cut and laminated. This can function as interactive materials in a literacy center, where students can match pictures to the correct letter R flower. The bright spring artwork really draws kids in, and the different puzzle levels are great for supporting a range of abilities. What’s Inside: 4-100 piece puzzles Full-color answer pages Simple printing and cutting tips These puzzles work well with Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten, and the higher-piece versions can challenge Grade 1–2 students. I usually print the pages on cardstock and laminate them so they last longer, especially if they’re going into a center. How to Use: Just print, cut, mix, and let students put the puzzle together. The smaller-piece puzzles are great for fast finishers, and the bigger ones are perfect for students who like a challenge. Each recipe template: Can be printed with the chosen recipes handwritten onto the cards Can be edited using Google Slides or PowerPoint - Font styles can be changed and more. Links to recipe ideas are included as well. This is a project that can be worked on individually or as a team. Students will practice using Google Slides or PowerPoint software which will increase their knowledge of creating products in these creative software programs. Students will practice typing and/or handwriting. Students can give the finished products to a special friend or family member. Students can try out the recipes in the school kitchen as is possible. A lovely home economics and family consumer sciences project. Students will be developing research skills when they utilize the included links to find recipes and choose ones that they think sound yummy. Finding, choosing, and trying out new recipes are all life skills that will be helpful into adulthood, especially if students are given the opportunity to try out any of the recipes. Students will have fun doing this crafty, unique activity, and they will be learning at the same time. Recipes contain ingredients in specific amounts (math), and have to be followed like a lab experiment to complete and end up with a successful finished product. Two zipped files are included: one non-editable pdf file and one editable PowerPoint file that can be used with Google slides which is a free program.
