The goal is that students are able to visually recognise, read and write all the letters of the English alphabet, presented in various contexts, forms and formats : visual figure ground alphabet letters flash cards . visual form constancy alphabet letters flash cards . visual closure alphabet letters flash cards . Each resource includes lowercase and uppercase ( or capital ) letters versions and is suitable for Kindergarten students and 1st graders, or even anyone learning the English alphabet, regardless of age or language origin . You can print them, cut them and laminate them to have forever as a "go to" material file or print and use them as cut and paste or writing worksheets ( when teaching each letter or when you want to create task cards or letter combination exercises, for your centers and work stations ) . These reading rings give students simple sentences to introduce them to reading in the format of "S is for ____." The teacher just needs to print each page, laminate each card (if desired) and then, using a hole punch, the teacher needs to place a hold in the indicated corner of the card. Presentation: Autumn-themed Editable Reading Fluency Slides These editable, animated, fun, autumn reading fluency PowerPoint slides are a must-have for anyone who needs to give children an incentive to practice reading over and over again - be it letter sounds, CVC words, or digraph words to sound out - you choose as these slides are fully editable! These autumn, editable, animated reading fluency PowerPoint slides take the drudgery out of learning - and help children want to tackle those things they find hard - better than plain flashcards! If you read the word - you can watch the leaf fall from the tree! Editable? Yes - change the text to meet the needs of your pupil/s. There are 2 activities with 2 backgrounds each - one less cluttered for any child who may find one too confusing. There is a spin and read activity : Each player chooses a colour – brown or gold. Decide who will start. Click on the spin button. Click again to stop. The player whose colour the spinner lands on chooses a word to read. Butterfly Alphabet Cards

These butterfly themed alphabet cards are perfect for students who are learning in the spring season. They make the perfect tool for students to learn the letters of the alphabet. What is Included: This set includes one capital letter card and one lowercase letter card for each letter. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the capital letters to the lowercase letters. Attach a paper clip to a letter card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the letters for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the letters on each card. Have students find the letters that you have hidden around the room for a fun letter hunt. Place the letter cards in alphabetical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the letters. The students will guess which letter the hidden picture is behind. Add objects that begin with each letter for students to match to each letter card. When to Use: Literacy Center - Place the cards in a literacy center for students to match independently or with a partner. Morning Tubs or Baskets - Place the cards in a morning bin for students to work on while their classmates arrive to class. Small Group Activities - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra practice identifying letters to use these cards. These butterfly alphabet cards are a great activity for students to practice letter recognition during the spring months. They are a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. Simply print, cut apart and laminate for durability. These cards can be stored in a task box for easy set up, clean up, and storage. Skills Assessed: These cards, depending on the materials added, can assess both letter recognition of capital and lowercase letters as well as identifying beginning sounds.

This resource is a comprehensive lesson that uses 20 airport-related vocabulary words. First off, you can introduce these words by using the PDF -based presentation. With the arrow keys, you just move from one word to another to make your students familiar with them. Next, You can hand out the vocabulary lists. Beware that these are made with color, so in order to be eco-friendly you might want to use black and white ink. Once the students have taken these lists home, they can do the vocabulary test in their next class. They can practice with the words by utilizing the included flash cards. These just need to be printed, laminated, and cut. Beware of sharp edges though. You can use the curved edges version to avoid annoying pinches. Finally, use the Wacky Words activity to have a really good time in class. With this, all the letters are mixed up. Students love this.
