They have different match and memory games and also cards to help with reading and spelling . The cards can help you learn 12 concepts and words for animals in the air . They are available in various types for all different ways of learning . The real pictures show animals, which makes them attractive for learners and suitable for people with aphasia and students learning English as a Second/ Foreign Language . The blacklined symbols version has animal outlines that you can color . It is a fun way to practice using your fine motor and learn the names of animals at the same time. The colored symbols version has symbols in joyful colors . Finally, the written version has the names of animals in different styles ( like tracing lines and dot-to-dot ), which can help with learning to read and write . These different options allow teachers and therapists to pick the best choices for their students or patients . Each version has two different boards . You can play the traditional matching game or create a non-identical matching game using all versions of the cards . This activity will make students think harder and use their problem-solving skills, making it more challenging and interesting . You can make flashcards that have pictures of animals on both sides, with different versions of the cards . One side of the card could show a real picture of the animal, while the other side could have a drawing , a colored picture or the animal's name . To make the cards last a long time, you can put two boards together with their back sides touching, laminate them and cut them across the frames . These two titles are also available in a BUNDLE. About this Resource: This resource includes all 1000 Fry Sight Words in a Flash Cards format. Organized in groups of 10, teachers can cut out each flash card for easy use with their students. The Flash Cards are separated by grade sections. Flash Cards exercise the mental processes of students’ brains. With repeated practice, students will learn to associate words with their spelling. About Fry Sight Words: In 1996, Dr. Edward B. Fry expanded on Dolch’s list of 220 Sight Words and 95 common nouns. This list included 1000 of the most common words used in the English language ranked by frequency. Labeled as “Instant Words”, Fry’s list came to be known as “Fry Words”. These words are typically broken down into groups of 100, and separated by grades kindergarten to first grade, second to third grade, and fourth to fifth grade. Learning all 1000 words in this modern list of Sight Words will allow students to be able to read about 90% of the words used in a typical book.

Allow students to independently practice blending and reading WH words with these digraph Word Read and Reveal Cards! Teachers will love the independent nature of these cards! The self-correcting feature on the cards allow students to check their reading. What is Included: There are 12 digraph WH words included in this packet. Included in the packet are illustrated directions on how to put the cards together. How to Use: Students will get a card for the pile. Students will practice reading the word on the card, using the dots and arrows as a finger guide to reading the word. Once they feel confident that they know the word they read, they will open the card to reveal a picture of the word they read. When to Use: Literacy Center - Students can work independently or with a partner to read these WH words Morning Tub or Basket - The cards can be placed in a morning bin for students to work on as students arrive to class. Small Group Activity - The teacher can choose a small group of students or a specific group of words for students to work on in a small group setting with the teacher. The fact that the teacher can easily choose which words to include inside a center or activity, allows the teacher to easily differentiate this activity for her students. The bold, colorful, easy to recognize pictures allow students to complete this center independently, by providing pictures they should already recognize that match the words they are practicing to read. The cards do require some prep work to put together, but once created, they will provide a long term center or activity for your classroom. They need to be printed, cut apart and folding into thirds to create the read and reveal nature of this activity.

These are words that don't use the phonics rules that one might expect when reading and trying to pronounce the word. But this is not all. Included in the packet are illustrated directions on how to put the cards together. The diphthongs included in this set are: ou and ow How to Use: Students will get a card for the pile. Students will practice reading the word on the card, using the dots and arrows as a finger guide to reading the word. Once they feel confident that they know the word they read, they will open the card to reveal a picture of the word they read. When to Use: Literacy Center - Students can work independently or with a partner to read these words Morning Tub or Basket - The cards can be placed in a morning bin for students to work on as students arrive to class. Small Group Activity - The teacher can choose a small group of students or a specific group of words for students to work on in a small group setting with the teacher. The fact that the teacher can easily choose which words to include inside a center or activity, allows the teacher to easily differentiate this activity for her students. The bold, colorful, easy to recognize pictures allow students to complete this center independently, by providing pictures they should already recognize that match the words they are practicing to read. The cards do require some prep work to put together, but once created, they will provide a long term center or activity for your classroom. They need to be printed, cut apart and folding into thirds to create the read and reveal nature of this activity.
